Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

To anyone that has a relative in the military... Page 1 of 1
Jayderavan had some good ideas. Do you have any family members/friends that went thru the military maybe you can have him talk to them. Anyone who had to deal with trauma after war, have him talk to them. why the army over other forces? perhaps you should ask him to research other forces to what best fits him. Recruiters do make a good sales pitch on making it sound so nice.

Military is good to get school, but I believe that you don't get all the credits at once, you have to earn them, so he needs to look into this as well. Also let him know how military life affects family if he's willing to be separated by a gf/wife if he goes to war and if he can handle that. Right now, he's fine, but he may change his mind later. Just be adamant with using protection so he doesn't have to worry about having a family early.
