Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

What makes a good Mom (or Dad) or Primary caregiverPage 1 of 1
I am going to have to agree with butterflykisses (especially about them keeping their rooms clean :P). hehe
To add to it, I believe that a good caregiver in general needs to put their child's needs first no matter what. This seems to be something that is so lacking with caregivers these days. It means making tough choices sometimes and not always getting your own way. Sometimes it means missing your baby because it is better him or her to be somewhere else. It means fighting the tough fights and having the embaressing conversations. It means being the bad "guy" sometimes. It means wearing ratty underwear so that your child can have fitting shoes every 3 months if needed (how the heck to their feet grow so much some years??). The examples are never ending...but I think the point is clear...
