Prejudice versus short men online dating.
Posted: 4/25/2018 9:53:52 AM
I also don’t have any sympathy for men that whine about how hard it is to date, not dating isn’t going to kill you.

Being 5.4 myself, a woman that is taller than me would have to be exceptional for me to want to contact her. My typical cutoff is >5.6 for women, though I might make an exception.

I feel online is much better for short men. Sure, one gets the automatic rejection on cold data without regard to personality, but the vast numbers more than make up for this.

I would never passively wait for a woman to contact me. This is IMO especially important for short men as it’s not likely a woman would search for short men, at best they wouldn’t enter height as a search field.

I have speculated being short confers an odd advantage or two.

I don’t get any superficial women and I get more serious contacts, and relationships have tended to last longer than what I read about. But it might not have anything to do with my height, it might be who I search for. And perhaps over the decades I have come to search for those more likely to respond because I am short and have modified my behavior to take this into account without even realizing it.

I do know my acceptance in countries where the average height is quite a bit shorter than the USA had taken me by surprise and I was not always certain on how to react.

James Comey interview with George
Posted: 4/19/2018 9:23:19 PM

Everyone is predicting Trumps lawyer will flip on him.
But why wouldn't he just take his chances...if Trump can pardon him?

Trump can pardon cohen on federal charges, but not on state charges. So new york state can charge cohen.

------------------------------------------------------
The good news for Cohen is that Trump could pardon him for violating federal campaign finance or banking laws, a step that would keep him out of the crosshairs of New York state prosecutors as well.

The bad news is that those same prosecutors could try to come after him for related crimes — and, if New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman gets his way, the original crimes too.

Some commentators argued that the early charges against Manafort, which didn’t reference as many potential crimes as many had expected, were a sign that Mueller was leaving the door open for state prosecution and avoiding the double jeopardy issue.

But if he gets his way, Schneiderman may soon be able to go after Cohen even more directly.

In a letter to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Democratic and Republican leaders of the state House and Senate Wednesday, Schneiderman asked state lawmakers to pass legislation that would allow for prosecuting people on the state level for the exact crimes they were convicted of — and pardoned for — on the federal level.

That would mean modifying the state’s current double jeopardy provisions to ensure that someone like Cohen couldn’t evade state scrutiny after a federal pardon.

“Simply put,” Schneiderman wrote, under the current law “a defendant pardoned by the President for a serious Federal Crime could be freed from all accountability under federal and state criminal law.”

New York state Sen. Todd Kaminsky announced he’d be introducing a bill with a fix Thursday or Friday, though it’s unclear if, or when, it would make its way through New York’s fractious state government and be signed into law.

Geez.

However, CNN keeps calling Cohen Trump's "fixer". Not personal lawyer, FIXER. Sure feels like CNN is painting Trump to be similar to a mob boss.

Donald Trump lives in a penthouse that he says is on the 66th to 68th floors of his eponymous building. There's only one problem with that: According to New York City documents, Trump Tower has only 58 floors.

It turns out the real-estate-mogul-turned-presidential-candidate frequently misstates the floor counts of his buildings to exaggerate their height without changing the actual numbers.

There's no legal requirement to tie the building floor numbers to the actual floors the buildings have, except in official documents.

http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-tower-is-not-as-tall-as-trump-says-2016-10

This is rife in America now, everyone is a victim, and if they aren’t a victim they are a hero, the facts don’t matter, it’s how you feel about it that’s important.

Reality TV, give me a break! The news is constantly taking a tiny misstatement, a whisper of a fact and using feelings to blow it up to a HUGE BREAKING news story.

If you think about it, the left and the right do this sort of thing all the time.

What are your examples of feeling winning out over facts?

I Don't Date Muslim, Jewish, or Black Men

That is a good question for Muslim Middle Eastern Women.

Haven't you dated both Muslim Middle Eastern Women and American born women?

Women can't answer, they don't know the differences men encounter in dating women from different cultures. They know a lot about dating men.

My experience is with Chinese, Thai, Thai/Chinese, French, Greek, American born African American, Polish, Filipino and various american born nationalities from different strata of society. Never Muslim or middle eastern women.

So ...

Guerrero That was a question for YOU specifically and any other men that have that sort of experience.

I have a question.

What is it like dating a Muslim woman, or middle eastern woman, is the typical woman any different from those born in the USA?

I have seen a few very exotic looking middle eastern woman Muslim women, going on appeareances they are attractive.

For instance, David Bowie widow is Zara Mohamed Abdulmajid (Iman). She is Muslim, born in Somali and is very hot looking.

Here is another crime from white men on the website of POF. It all depends about the one's self. There are a lot of hopeless, homeless, physio people here.

POF is the second most popular dating site in the USA, with 23 million people. Match is number 1 with 35 million people.

So POF becomes reflective of general society. The significant question would be, is POF any more or less violent than society in general?

We can't answer that because we don't have the data, getting it is tedious and might be impossible, more importantly, no is anyone paying me or anyone else for their time in getting/analyzing that data.

Guerrero fyi, in the one case of Michelle Martens I don't see anywhere that POF was sued.

In the other case, /nationalpost, POF sent a cease and desist letter to a third party advertiser to removed a picture, and POF said they have nothing to do with the actions of the advertiser.

So it seems like a big nothing burger.

Who Is Too Young or Too Old for You to Date?
Posted: 3/31/2018 3:17:39 AM

Lol - no, but how you dress, the places you go to, etc. "Go places and be like those your own age," is society's general theme. Doesn't have to be exact, but if you're "too much" like those significantly younger, "there's something wrong."

I do think there is something wrong if I go out of my way to emulate a 20 year old.

Like if I were to wear hip hop and low rider jeans. I do have hole in some jeans, but that isn't a fashion statement, it's because they are old.

But I think fedora hats are coming back into fashion ??

I got some roller blades in the shed, maybe I will give them a try.

You might be surprised at what you can do when you have to.

But this doesn't fall into the category of I have to do it. I can live without sex.

If I had such a problem, I might try the needle, but I doubt I would be a regular user. At my age, I think I would take it as a sign from God that I am past sex. And I am not sure how this works, (or doesn't) , if I am a limp dck, can I still orgasm with oral?

However, I don't mind jabbing myself in the ass once every 3 months with testosterone undecanoate , but the benefits go far beyond a few hours in the sack. I can't say I like it, but I have done it. Not currently, but I am looking into getting back into it.

Older than me?

Geez, I am 65 and I was hanging out for a while with my mother's golden circle friends.

It did make me feel young to walk without a cane and I was the first one off the bus. It's better than being with those 40 years younger and trying to keep up.

Do guys like women to always wear makeup?
Posted: 3/31/2018 2:30:33 AM
My ex-wife was a hair stylist, she wore makeup though I don't think it was a lot of makeup. She looked a bit like Sophia Loren, especially the way she did her eyebrows.

My current wife did not wear any makeup the first day I met her, she wanted to see me as she naturally is.

I wasn't aware she wasn't wearing makeup, though I think she looks more attractive with makeup. Even though this was the first time I met her, I had corresponded with her a lot via skype, text, chat and email, so I knew a lot about her remotely. I felt her emotionally more than her how she appeared.

My current wife has very long hair, down to her rear, I like it but if she cut it short I would still love her.

I think carefully applied makeup is more attractive, but in the long run it doesn't matter as the superficial quickly looses any importance.

So IMO wear some makeup at first, because the superficial is what we see at first, but in the long run it doesn't matter at all.

I don't find that odd. But I do find it odd in society that you're Not supposed to feel that way. Like at 45, you're supposed to "be" 45 -- "you're not 30"! Not for doing acrobatic stunts and the like, but the way you roll thru life.

I myself do not care about the woman's color, race, or background, but the mentality.

I have a preference, though it isn't the type of preference most people mean when they state that.

I have a preference to date women of a color, race, or background, that I haven't dated before. More of a preference for novelty. I tended to avoid dating the same nationality of the last woman I dated.

Before I got married, I was interested in dating either in Medellin Colombia, Cambodia or Venezuela. I have a friend who's inlaws live in Medellin Colombia and he goes back on a regular basis, I though that would be a good opportunity to reach out.

I have never dated a Muslim woman, so she would be more interesting because of that fact.

It's only a preference, not like a hard and fast rule.

Are the women there really cutting off penises?

Polygamy is popular with men in Thailand, having multiple minor wives is common. Western culture has invaded their culture, in the past family honor was paramount with meant men take financial care of their first wife and children. In the West, we divorce and try and avoid any financial ties, which is becoming more common in Thailand.

The first wife cutting off their husband's penis is only partially sexual jealousy and that is a minor part, it;'s mostly about men spending too much of the family money on their minor wives. They often go a step further by feeding it to the ducks. If you google the phase and add Thailand you will see how common that is. One women even tied the penis to a balloon and lunched it into the air.

BTW, the whole concept of marriage is a bit amorphous by our standards. People say they are married, but it often means they just declare they are married and it isn't official. They often have a Buddhist wedding that isn't official in any way.

When you officially get married all you do is register at a government office, there isn't any ceremony. Of course you could have a Buddhist ceremony either before or after registering.

An issue is confusion among transgender, their own confusion, translates to everyone else's confusion with should they get reassignment, then those that want their penises back. Those are big issues! I think it's the nature of people to want to know who and what someone is in order to feel comfortable. That's why dogs sniff things, to know what something is. We fear what we do not know or understand.

I have often seen male dogs try to hump another male dog. They smell everything. Don't think they are a good model for human behaviour.

I haven't seen this confusion among transgender, and in any case there isn't any penis left to reattach.

Sometimes it's confusing trying to figure out if a women is actually a women. Generally speaking, ladyboys are over the top sexy while normal women are more modest even if they are bargirls.

Who Is Too Young or Too Old for You to Date?
Posted: 3/27/2018 10:53:17 AM

I saw my doc, I tied lots of tabs, etc. nada. I was referred to a specialist, he talked, and after a couple of sessions with him, he took me behind the screen, said I qualify for ''this'' ''is that ok for you, it is a needle.' I said yes, he injected into my penis, BINGO! I had an Empire State Building, but stronger hard!!!!!!!!!!!! I ran to my car, phoned my wife, all this is gospel, told her I would be 20mins, ''get your kit off, get on the bed, I have a steel girder between my lets.

I was curious about this:

CaverjectTM or EdexTM (Alprostadil) is injected directly into the side of the penis and produces an erection. The medication dilates the arteries of the penis and allows blood to flow in. An erection occurs anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes after injection. A patient must learn to perform a penile self-injection each time he wishes to engage in sexual activity. The erection will last 30 minutes to an hour or up to orgasm.

Most patients find that they get used to the needle sensation over time. The number of injections is not to exceed 12 each month, and should be spaced as evenly as possible. The site of injection should alternate between left and right side of the penis.

https://www.urologicalcare.com/erectile-dysfunction/penile-injection-therapy/

I assume you already had your testosterone levels checked?

But for me, it would certainly take a lot of enjoyment out of sex to have to inject my penis.

Gives a new meaning to, no pain no gain.

I wouldn't hire an escort just because it was my birthday. And an escort won't be anything like a normal dinner date, so you won't get any experience of wining and dinning a woman.

I an not 100% adverse to paying for sexual services, but I have sort of stumbled in to those types of situations. Not planned it out. And paying lacks any sort of passion, which is 80% of the fun of sex. At least for me.

Should I wait until I find a woman, especially one who doesn’t mind paying for herself or should I hire an escort just to get the dating experience of wining and dining a woman?

You also seem a little confused.

Finding a woman that won't mind paying for herself Vs wanting to wine and dine a woman are opposite goals.

How do you stimulate the clitoris?
Posted: 3/26/2018 10:57:11 PM

I’ve often wondered why women have a clitoris if it usually can’t be stimulated during penetration. What role does it play in reproduction? Unless it’s just to moisten the vagina before penetration.

I generally try and grind my pelvis against her clitoris at the bottom of a stroke.

The internal clitoris is as long as a penis, and the g-spot, or Grafenburg Spot, is a 2-3 inches inside of the vagina and is another potential source of sexual pleasure or orgasm and is currently understood to be another part of the internal clitoris.

So you can also attempt to have your penis rub the g-spot.

Everyone is a little different so you have to experiment a little to find the right combination of moves and rhythm to get her into responding with that crazed monkey sex passion.

If doesn't always happen, but when it does, it's like you are in an alternative reality.

Dragon, there seems to be a lot of jockeying around of sexuality in Thailand with men cutting off their own penises with the reassignment surgery

Do you really believe that?

Because you don't just chop it off

Genital surgery. When changing anatomical sex from male to female, the testicles are removed, and the skin of foreskin and penis is usually inverted, as a flap preserving blood and nerve supplies (a technique pioneered by Sir Harold Gillies in 1951), to form a fully sensitive vagina (vaginoplasty).

Lots of trannies and ladyboys there. Sounds like a sexually confused society.

That's true, but it's only confusing to Westerners. In their POV, the USA seems unusually uptight and rigid about sexuality.

BTW, no one has explained to me why anyone would need an AR-15 unless they were in the military.

I don't know why people need to explain why they want something? There are many, many products that don't serve any purpose outside of a desire for the product.

For instance, the top speed in the USA is 85 mph, yet a Ferrari (and many other high powered sports cars) states that the car has a top speed exceeding 217 mph,

Why on earth does anyone outside of a race car driver need a top speed of over 200 mph?

Measure Inflammation in your body?
Posted: 3/24/2018 11:02:51 AM
I think life extension has a pretty complete blood test for lipids (NMR) and inflammation. It costs $262.50.

DESCRIPTION

NMR LipoProfile® PLUS
Item Catalog Number: LC100049
This panel contains the following tests:

NMR LipoProfile®
Directly measures: LDL-P, LDL-C, HDL-C, HDL-P, total cholesterol and triglycerides.
Provides your ULTRA important LDL particle size and particle count.
An LP-IR score.
A helpful particle concentration and size chart which reveals CHD risk.

C-Reactive Protein (high sensitivity)
The CRP blood test measures your level of systemic inflammation and is used to evaluate your risk of developing coronary artery disease.

Myeloperoxidase (MPO)
MPO is a vascular specific marker that measures your body's response to damage in your artery walls and the subsequent formation of vulnerable plaque which is prone to rupture.

Homocysteine
Elevated blood levels of homocysteine may directly damage the delicate endothelial cells that line the inside of arteries and result in vascular inflammation, blood clot formation, heart attack, and stroke.

Fibrinogen
Fibrinogen plays a role in the development of atherosclerotic plaque. It can also cause acute blood clot formation that may block a coronary artery (causing a heart attack) or a cerebral artery (causing an ischemic stroke).

Vitamin D 25-hydroxy

A growing number of studies point to vitamin D deficiency as a risk factor for heart attacks, congestive heart failure, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), and strokes.

I think you are not following what this topic mainly about. It is not a religious discussion. Please if you want to talk about Islam and treatment of woman, open another topic in a religion POF forum, and I will reply you back there.

The topic was about your desire for women to be clear about which races or religions they will not date. You also raised the secondary topic of their perception being wrong.

These types of articles in the paper you provided a link to contribute to that perception.

I respect your idea about dating. However, I wish if you widen the scope of your reading. I will appreciate if you can show us a link for the U.N. Report. On the contrary, according the U.N. Study stated, the Egyptian women number one in beating husbands.

You bring up a very interesting point. I see the same sort of thing in Thailand. Thailand leads the world in penile reattachment surgery as angry wives cut off their husband’s penis. Women are also often subjugated.

So perhaps in these cultures where women are dominated by men, the reaction of some women is over the top anger expressed as violence?

What do you think is the reason for the violence by women in Egypt and Thailand, and are you comfortable, feel safe when dating an Egyptian woman?

You also have stories in that same paper like the following:

ISLAMABAD: The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has proposed its own women protection bill, recommending ‘a light beating’ for the wife if she defies the husband.

https://tribune.com.pk/story/1110571/name-protection-cii-bill-proposes-curbs-women/

If you tried to take DNA test, you may find some of your roots go back to Middle East, Africa, or India. It is so sad that our ancestors were smarter than many of us, and had relationships without problems.

I don't think attitude towards women is genetic, it's cultural, so one's roots isn't what is important. And if you need a DNA test to determine your roots, then the influence of Middle East, Africa, or India is obviously a minor influence. Though I guess if we go back far enough, we are all out of Africa.

It is all about the individual himself/herself, rather than his/her religion, background, or color.

I would disagree with you about that.

One's religion, background, or color help to shape who you are as an individuals. Statistically a male raised in Egypt is going to believe that women would defer to their husbands and not be an equal partner.

You as an individual may well not follow the norm for your society, but odds are that you will.

Part of my job was statistical analysis. BUT I take people as individuals and don't assume they will reflect their culture, however, if I take 100 individuals at random, maybe 80 of them will reflect what their culture would indicate one should expect.

BUT you are already an exception to your culture, as you immigrated to the USA, which most do not do. Statistical I would have to look at men who immigrated to determine how they differ from their cultural norms.

As to your main issue, IMO any negativity in a profile is a bad thing, so excluding groups based on religion, background, or color is going to turn off a lot of dates that are in one's preferred group. And people do make exceptions to what they think they want based on attraction and other factors.

So I don't think you are going to be able to make your job easier by getting people to express negative sentiments on their profile.

It's that if he's prepared to lie through his teeth about that, then it proves that he's both a liar and a cheat.

It's not any revelation to anyone who paid attention to trump, it's been obvious to me since 1987 when I read his art of the deal, and anyone that dealt with trump before that.

All the really surprises me is how many American's defend trump, believe his BS and don't care about his character, how he treats women or how his policies will play out in the future.

Now that is a revelation to me.

What is your definition of sex?

But legally in the state I was in any form of penetration of vagina, anus. or mouth with any body part or object.

There must be more to it than that.

Because dentists are having sex 10 times a day with multiple partners, though they do wear gloves, so they do practice safe sex.

the unsung hero who did his job...until the coward was too scared to do his job

Florida’s current law governing written threats to kill or inflict bodily harm does have limits.

Case in point: Back in 2015, police arrested a teenager at Sarasota High who sent a series of public tweets that included “can’t WAIT to shoot up my school” and “school getting shot up Tuesday,” as well as an apology saying it was a joke.

An out-of-town watchdog group discovered the tweets and notified police, who rushed to the school to protect students. The boy was judged “delinquent” in juvenile court.

But an appeals court threw out the case in 2016, saying the law allowed only for a threat to a “specific victim or member of that person’s family.”

“Our efforts have been frustrated by current law, which covers threats directed towards individuals not institutions such as schools,” Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle wrote to Florida lawmakers two days after the Parkland shooting in a letter supporting the broadening of the law.

A proposed bill in Florida’s Legislature would, if passed, strike the “specific victim” wording in the law.

“Now is the time to amend the statute and give law enforcement the tools to ensure that no child feels unsafe at school because of online threats,” she wrote.

It's going to be funny if they have to profile young white men with guns and violent postings. I could see a lot of protests from skinhead groups.

Holy charlottesville !! we need more prisons.

This is funny, a AR-15 wedding ceremony.

Pennsylvania couples clutching AR-15 rifles renew wedding vows

Pastor Hyung Jin Moon at the controversial Sanctuary Church in Newfoundland.

Couples hold AR-15 rifles and other guns during a ceremony at the Sanctuary Church on Wednesday in Newfoundland, Pennsylvania.

Their motto is, “I mean, every American should really have an AR,” Moon said.

Bridesmaid's with crowns of bullets.

So religion, guns and cults all rolled together in one big nutty bar.

Although I'd think that if endless debates that never get settled make you uncomfortable then you should avoid political discussions altogether. Has anyone ever managed to convince YOU enough to say to yourself "Gee... maybe I've been looking at this all wrong.... that other person's arguments are a lot more convincing than my own"?

Yes, I have changed my mind. But I am told that I am unusual. I am more perceiving than judging, which means I tend to change my mind as I get more information.

But I don't expect to change anyone else's mind, only point out when arguments don't make any sense. And I object to creating a database then making it illegal to search it.

I agree that regarding terrorist attacks like the Nice, France attack., or for that matter the 9/11 attack in the USA, are to some degree unpreventable.

But just because you can never prevent all terrorist attacks is no reason to make it easy to accomplish. The idea is to make it as difficult as possible in order to prevent both random acts of violence and planned terrorist attacks as possible.

However, I said before there is a trade off between personal freedom and having to accept a certain number of people will die because of that. For instance, Singapore has one the lowest crime rates in the world. That is because they have draconian laws that limit their personal freedom which we in the USA will never accept.

As a society we need to balance personal freedom Vs safety. A lot of times I think the Government has gone too far in limiting my freedom to protect big business, their monopolies and their profits, then they say it’s for my safety.

hopefulhunk

What I suggested was the following.

I would treat guns like we handle passports and cars.

A gun license should have a written and field test, background check however they currently check your identity for a passport.

Individual guns should be registered like they register your car. Track the serial number, when ownership changes then you need to transfer ownership. Have a national database of all guns.

Nowhere did I suggest they should make AR-15s illegal. I don't really care about rifles like a AR-15. I would kind of like to buy one, but it's illegal in my area to own or buy one. And both of my brothers own a lot of guns.

However, I can't see a good reason they should allow large capacity magazines.

I do think the only sure tangible way to reduce school shootings and death by gun violence is to make guns very difficult or impossible to own by individuals. BUT I am not suggesting we should do that, only that is very likely the only thing that would work.

AND I think it's insane that they passed a law making it illegal to create a searchable database of gun registrations.

And if Florida or any state wants to raise the age to own a rifle to 21, I think states should have the right to do that.

State rights, or should the Federal Government over rule state rights?

Do you do Yoga?

I don't do yoga, but apparently the NIH has studied Eischens Yoga.

Effect of Eischens Yoga During Radiation Therapy on Prostate Cancer Patient Symptoms and Quality of Life:

CONCLUSIONS: A structured yoga intervention of twice-weekly classes is feasible for PC patients during a 6- to 9-week course of outpatient radiotherapy. Preliminary results are promising, showing stable measurements in fatigue, sexual health, UI, and general QOL.

Treading on eggshells in messages

First one seemed fine to start with but she asked why I broke up in previous relationship.
I said I didn't want to get married so she left the relationship.
She said in that case I don't want to talk to you.

Second one said hello and I asked me how I was.
I said I was feeling a bit lonely tonight.
No reply.

You didn't want to get married seems like you never would consider marriage, if that's the case and she was looking at marriage as an eventual goal, then is seems you aren't compatible. It would nave never worked. Your answer was closed ended. OK if that is how you feel.

But I would have probably said she wasn't what I was looking for in a long term relationship so we split up.

Feeling lonely tonight seems too needy IMO.

But people stop responding for all sorts of reasons, you can't please everyone and you shouldn't try to.

Who Is Too Young or Too Old for You to Date?
Posted: 3/10/2018 2:15:05 PM

Men make me laugh when it comes to age! Many men expect women who are over 10 years older than them to fall in love!
It is a total surprise when she divorces him ha ah laugh.
17 years older the man and the women this much younger - No she will never be in love with you so wake-UP!
Lies from men are more accepted shame on society.

I think young men and women are much more likely to believe in love while older people often get more cynical and put up more walls.

Florida shooting: NRA sues as Florida enacts gun-control law

The National Rifle Association (NRA) is suing Florida after it passed a gun control law in the wake of a school shooting that left 17 people dead.

Governor Rick Scott, a staunch ally of the gun lobby, enacted the bill, which the NRA says violates the constitution.

The law raises the legal age for buying rifles in Florida, but also allows the training and arming of school staff.

It does not ban semi-automatic rifles like the one used in the 14 February massacre in Parkland.

But it does introduce a three-day waiting period on all gun sales and a ban on bump stocks, a device that enables semi-automatic rifles to fire hundreds of rounds a minute.

The NRA filed its lawsuit on Friday just an hour after the bill was signed by the governor.

One of its arguments is that the legislation violates the rights of young women as they are unlikely to commit violent crime.

Ladies. how many messages do you receive?

The same Online Dating Magazine estimates that there are more than 2,500 online dating services online in the U.S. alone, with 1,000 new online dating services opening every year. Some estimates say there are 8.000 competitors worldwide.

Online dating fraud is on the rise. Online dating fraud rose by 150% percent in the last couple of years as scammers and hucksters turned up the false charm and predatory trolling, according to a recent article on Mashable.

Social networks. “Social networking” is really the new term for dating, with mega-sites like Facebook, and the hyperlocal site Foursquare. After all, isn’t dating all about making new “friends,” and finding them in all the right places? The latest is Facebook Graph Search, unveiled last month, to help you find the perfect match on the social network.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/martinzwilling/2013/03/01/how-many-more-online-dating-sites-do-we-need/#309dbc7b7882

The point is, with so many possible ways to connect for a date online, joining any one service like POF a person will get less contacts per day than they did years ago because of the competition from all of the other dating / social media sites.

Now there are search engine parameters that can match image features, so singles will soon be able to search cyberspace for their ideal partner, and least as far as physical facial features are concerned,

I saw the same complaints in other countries, online dating isn't as good as it used to be. It's not so much that you have changed or gotten older, it's that that the world has changed.

DATING OVER 60
Posted: 3/9/2018 8:21:44 AM
mike, in another thread you said:

I met someone online.
We agreed to meet at hers with absolutely no strings attached and just as friends.
At hers after 10 minutes chatting she grabbed me by the arm and dragged me upstairs !
I left next morning seriously knackered.
I can only guess she was seriously missing a man's company, possibly any man !

Doesn't this woman count?

My suspicion is that the people who work to provide services to gun owners are not motivated by trying to keep us safe.... they are like every other government agency... they are motivated by bureaucracy. They don't want to streamline the process because that means there'd be more of them out of work.

In the USA dealer records are required to be “non-searchable” under federal law. Keyword searches, or sorting by date or any other field, are strictly prohibited. The ATF is just following the law.

Many people can’t believe that the ATF isn’t allowed to create a searchable database of guns, but it is what it is.

I don't think by having their cars registered makes people safer drivers.

It’s not just gun registration, though I think it would have a mild effect on safety. There is much more accountability with cars, I think a similar accountability with guns would help.

I was suggesting that before issuing a FOID card, people should pass a written test on gun issues, principally safety. Also, an actual field test where you fire a gun. Though I see from the post by MachIMustangII that some states do required a safety course.

My government tried a long gun registry 20 years ago. One of the many problems with this registry is that people just didn't want to register their guns.... I know many people who didn't bother to register their guns at all (the whole concept was ridiculous to them), other people who registered SOME, but not ALL of their guns.... I think it was a minority of people who made an honest attempt at registering all of their guns and following the law completely.

A big reason Canada’s effort failed because it was so easy to buy a gun in the USA and take it to Canada. Just like whatever one does to ban guns in a city like Chicago is sure to fail when you can buy a gun short car drive away. Any hope of controlling guns would need to be across the country.

I contributed my suggestions, but this tends to be an endless debate, it will never be settled, I don’t think there is any reason for me to continue with the debate.
