"Part of compatibility is finding someone who prioritizes their time together in a mutually satisfying way . Some need a lot of attention, some don’t."

Walts, maybe you skimmed over this part of my post ?

Some people want to see A LOT of a SO, some don't. Neither are right or wrong, just right or wrong for eachother.

...which has zip, nada, zilch to do with being a " good person "

^^^ Right ?

How outdated can you get ?

And did they actually PET eachother like eachother's own pets back in the old days ?

And what is " heavy " petting ?

Does that mean they pet eachother's head and really put some muscle into it ?

And did that actually get them excited ??????

Old people are weird

Great bands from the 1980s?
Posted: 11/15/2017 12:30:49 PM
I also graduated in 1983 and had a friend who was the spitting image of the drummer of Def L. ( Rick Allen ? )

He wore Union Jack shorts every day of the summer of 83 and spoke in a phony British accent.

One of my greatest achievements was not killing him

"We never got as far as actually sleeping together but we had gotten into heavy petting as well as oral sex."

Am I the only one who hates the expression of " petting " as it pertains to people touching eachother ?

You pet an animal NOT a person !

I caress, fondle , stroke , squeeze , diddle but I don't frikken PET !

" Awww, who's a good gf ? Yes you are ! Yes you are ! Good girl ! "

Hair. How important is it?
Posted: 11/15/2017 9:52:08 AM
Ya, I think dark skin looks WAY better bald vs pasty white.

Not many pasty whiteys can pull it off.

I know some women like Vin Diesel , even though he always sounds like he's got a big hunk of fudge in his mouth.

Chances of finding a girl with no romantic past?
Posted: 11/15/2017 9:44:23 AM
"What are my chances of finding a girl who has never had her first love before?"

By the age of 23, pretty slim.

But I don't think you should sabotage yourself by disqualifying a great gal based on this.
I think you're placing way too much importance on this.

If it's meant to be and it happens , great. If it doesn't but you meet a great person and you ride off into the sunset...I doubt you'll feel bad about it in the end.

It depends

I prefer very long hair on a woman but I would make an exception. For example, the woman who was bald in the first Star Trek movie, played by Persis Khambatta.....oh yeah !

Walts wrote

“ One of the problems with good people is that they are not like the rest. So, yes, many of them will put their children first. They probably will also help a friend when required. And then there is their parents as they age. Look out, they probably will run to them when it's required. “

Walts, this comes across like you believe “ good people “ are a bunch of clones who have the exact same personalities and priorities as if they were manufactured in some Acme factory.

Sure, they all may share a certain degree of selflessness when it comes to the people in their lives they care about. But when it comes to balancing all that with a SO some do it well , some not so much. One of the reasons for this is they don’t all prioritize a SO the same way. This doesn’t necessarily make them a “ bad person “, it just means their priorities are DIFFERENT .

Part of compatibility is finding someone who prioritizes their time together in a mutually satisfying way . Some need a lot of attention, some don’t.

This is why parents seem to find it easier to date other parents. In most cases, they both understand the time management challenges that being a parent entails, for example.

Not all “ good people “ have children and/or parents they need to take care of and/or friends they need to constantly rescue.

Not all “ good people “ have the same desire to be in a relationship/place the same amount of importance on it.

Not all “ good people “ know how to be selfish once in a while – and yes , everyone , including “ good people “ are entitled to be selfish and have “ me time “ . In fact, a lot of “ experts “ believe this is healthy.

Bottom line, if you are single and want to find a “ good person ‘ who will be available enough to satisfy your needs, avoid parents and people who have TOO MUCH going on in their lives .

“ Don't do anything differently with them, than you would do with others. “

Don’t have sex with them ?????? You need to cut back on that whiskey.

“That will give that other to decide if you are worthy to be part of their lives. Don't expect good people to just drop the rest of their world as you try to enter theirs. “

I don’t care how “ good “ a person is , if they’re too busy for me then they aren’t “ worthy “ of MY time.

You're on the verge of turning 50 and yet your age restrictions are " 42 - 52 "....

HUGE turn off

My advice : don't advertise your age restrictions on your profile , keep them to yourself.

IOW get rid of them

Probably not a good idea to mention you were working in the garden with a ho if you're wife was working with you in the garden and you never used any garden tools.

If you're on a boat with a woman and you see some land it's ok to say " land ho ! " , but NOT ok to say " I see some land, ho ! "

I've yet to see men screaming hysterically at a concert the way girls did for the Beatles and I've yet to see a bunch of women swarm one guy at a bar the way men do on a regular basis.

Which is more pathetic ?

These type of guys aren't aware or simply don't care how " undignified " they appear , perhaps for some guys puberty never really ends ?

Personally, I'd rather be noticed and appreciated by a woman who notices I'm NOT part of the " melee "

And if a woman would say to me " ya snooze ya lose ", I would counter that I'm not losing anything if said woman is susceptible to a Mr obvious

I've been going to this once/month meet up group for a while now. At the last one, a very attractive woman showed up for the first time and it was pathetic how all the regular guys were all over her like a dog on a bone.

The looks the regular women exchanged with eachother was pretty entertaining.

At one point, 2 of the guys got into a heated exchange and it reminded me of dogs growling over a piece of meat.

I wouldn't meet someone whose profile said something like this :

" please, please, please refrain from using "LOL"! It is a *huge* turn-off. And you making a big deal out of that just makes it look like you don't have anything better to say and is an even bigger turn off. "

I'm not a fan of the whole " lol " thing either but I wouldn't mention it in my profile as if little things like that are so important that I would deem it necessary to do so . I mean , I wouldn't want someone to think I was that tightly wound.

I highly recommend you delete that .

Don't be silly

Drinking and driving kills too but alcohol isn't " outlawed " .

Don't drink and/or text and drive

Don't sell guns to just anyone

Don't sell machine guns for the purpose of scaring off racoons.

To me a person's level of "drama" is determined by how they react to things on the whole. Flipping out on a regular basis, especially about little things. Once in a while...well sure. But being very reactionary in general, creates the feeling of lots of drama.

favourite decade of music
Posted: 11/6/2017 9:33:21 AM
I’ve often wondered what it would’ve been like to have been in high school circa 1967 when music started to become interesting ( Hendrix, the Doors, Cream, etc ), leading up to the climactic early 70s legendary albums of Zep, Floyd, Yes , Sabbath, etc

I hated the hair bands of the 80s ….so when grunge came along, I was pretty happy with a regular dose of fresh music from bands like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Faith No More, STP, Jane’s Addiction, etc

Sadly, the era ended WAY too soon.

So, for my fave decade I’d like to combine1967-1973 and 1990 - 1992
