Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

Well, I'm's stated on my profile. I get messages from guys in their late 20's and in their 30's. I have a daughter 41, and a g-daughter 25. While I am flattered, I also know it just wouldn't work. I'm not Joan Collins after all!

so where are you people that leave a person confused?

Some people are afraid of conflict. They don't know how the other person will react, so they fear a bad scene. But at least a phone call (you can hang up if it goes bad), or a text message (impersonal), would be better than nothing. A simple, "I don't think this is going to work out", is all you need. If one person is unhappy, there isn't much the other can do but let them go.

Of course there's always the nut cases who want to pursue someone even after they've been told it's over, but let the cops deal with them.

Is marriage outmoded?

I think the reason the rate is lower in Italy is because they eat a lot, and drink a lot of wine.

A well-fed man will not stray far. And the wine with dinner makes them well-fed and happy!

"Stand By Me" is one of my favorite movies, as is "It" and "Green Mile." I reread It not long ago.
