Is that excitement... or excrement?

Is Analingus the new Cunnilingus?

You know what I say, "anal is the new vaginal". Seriously, I'm really not into that. However, I also wouldn't do that to my cat, either. But hey, I'm just your average misanthrope.

being gay - genetic or social
Posted: 2/11/2009 6:19:59 PM
This is my opinion. I don't care what you think or how you view me. My foster brother was gay (he died from Pancreatitis back in 2006). The latest imperical evidence does show that it is at least in part, genetic. About three years ago, HBO had a program that dealt primarily with genetic sexual aberrations-namely, hermaphrodites, and people born without any genetalia whatsoever. However, they dedicated about ten minutes to a seven or eight year old boy who acted EXTREMELY effeminate. So, in my opinion, it IS genetic.

Is philosophy an art or a science, and what is its importance?
Posted: 2/5/2009 10:31:11 PM
Philosophy is an art. Up until the end of the 19th century, psychology was considered a branch of philosophy.

New Spin To Creationism
Posted: 2/5/2009 10:25:34 PM
Why is that christ-ians always try pulling out that old creation theory? The Scopes Monkey trial is almost 125 years ago. I am sick of all the self-righeous indignation.

Dinosaurs

Yes, a snake was named after Monty Python. There was also a monitor lizard in Australia that grew to 25 feet. It weighed upwards of 3,000 pounds, and was a predator.

Dinosaurs

On the subject of recently discovered species, such as the giant squid, the Komodo Dragon wasn't even known outside of 5 islands until 1918-1922. So there might be other giant animals out there. The Loch Ness myth is just that.

Dinosaurs

Crocodillians were NOT dinosaurs. They were around during the Permian period. Just because they're reptiles and cryptic, does NOT mean they're dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs

Up until 45 million years ago, during the mass extinctions, mammals were very small, about the size of common rats. After that, the Pleistocene, is when the number of mammalian species outright exploded.
In the poast twenty years, we learned that the truly huge dinosaurs didn't live in water, that Tyrannoasaurus Rex was really a scavenger, and that many species were warm blooded. We have also discovered that many species also had feathers.

Do you believe we landed on the moon?
Posted: 2/5/2009 10:06:08 PM
Just some facts as to how it can be considered fake: There is no atmosphere on the moon, yet in the footage, the flag was waving in a breeze. When you speed up the moon walk, they are walking in a normal fashion. According to some people, there is so much radiation out there, that the astronauts would have been fried. Just some food for thought. I personally feel that it was real... However, there is plenty of evidence to the contrary.

Man, that exact quote, for the most part, is from that rank piece of schlock, The Matrix". Grow up. If you really want to get misanthropic, how's this? Give me 5 reasons as to why humans are a viable specis.

In Defence of Science Fiction
Posted: 2/5/2009 9:56:20 PM
Harlan Ellison now refers to Science Fiction as Speculative Fiction. To offer a definition, it is this: Science/ Speculative Fiction is nothing more than conjecture as to what can happen in the future. Not all of it is space ships and funny looking aliens. The story "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" is about the last 5 people trapped inside the computer that destroyed the world.

Friedrich Nietzsche. We can only understand that which we directly encounter. The universe is so large that we can only comprehend the most minute portion therein. Also, as everything eventually burns out and dies, existence is futile.

Religion and Politics - The US is number 1!!!!!
Posted: 2/5/2009 9:43:51 PM
As the son of a known communist (my father won a landmark decision in front of the U.S. Supreme Court), I believe that U.S. political thinking is full of christian selfrighteousness, and that this fuels our current expansionist policies. It also fuels our views on the minority religions, such as Taoism, Buddhism, and even Zoroastrianism, in addition to Islam and Voodoo/ Santeria. It also powers our current support of Israel (yes, I am of Jewish descent). Do I believe that we live in a truly free society? Well, unless you believe in a monotheist belief system, no we don't (Remember McCain saying that O'bama was a good man, as he was christian and not an Arab?)
I do believe that George W. set our foreign policy back at least 50 years. The world has every right to take umbrage with us.
