Yeah, apparently Ric found him. They were supposed to do a show in NC that night.

He did have a substance abuse problem. I'm going to guess that's what killed him.

Too much Military in San Diego?
Posted: 3/2/2013 2:47:52 PM
Well San Diego is home to the 2nd largest Navy base in the US, next to Norfolk. It also has Camp Pendleton and Miramar Marine Corps bases. Then you have the Sub base Pt Loma, NAB Coronado and North Island. So yes, there's a whole slew of active duty in SD and even more retiree's or former military. It's a huge military town...it is what it is.

Face it, a lot of military guys are arrogant and have an entitlement attitude (especially since 9/11). That can be a big turn off for women. Also some women don't like the transient nature of military service. So they don't want to get involved with a military member. Or maybe they had a bad experience with a military guy so they paint all of us with that same wide brush.

Yep, along with 5 interceptions...gawd! Killed me in my Fantasy league...lol

If Sproles and Moore had held on to those balls, different story. But coulda, woulda, shoulda.

However the Falcons have to be the least impressive 10-1 team i've every seen. But they're in the drivers seat.

People who just write how are you

When i get the "hi" only emails, i just reply with a "hello".

More often than not the email string ends right then and there, which is fine by me.

Dating guys in the military...
Posted: 11/30/2012 3:35:04 PM
The military is and always has been a microcosm of society. You'll find all kinds of people in the military, good and bad.

On the other hand there are many women out there who are "tag chasers", will go after a military man for the benefits, especially the medical.

Just have to be careful, just like with anyone else.

When they ask you how many people are you talking to?
Posted: 11/18/2012 10:12:46 PM
I've gotten that question a couple times. My reply was "One too many it looks like, have a good life."

I don't need to hear that insecure crap right off the bat during an initial convo. It's a red flag to me.

Hookers on this Website
Posted: 11/18/2012 9:58:16 PM
I haven't run into any hookers on this site. But i have come across some African scammers.

Of course they were "born" in the US, but had gone to Ghana/Nigeria to be with their dying parent/relative and now of course needed money to get home to the US...lol

I just tell them since they're US citizens to go to the US embassy and request assistance to get home to the US. Of course the IM box would immediately close then the profile would be gone by the next day..LMAO!

Also had one on here trying to scam a friend of mine. He claimed he was a MSGT with 33 yrs of service in the USMC, currently in Kabul Afghan. And that his troops had no money for food and for her to please send $300 to Dubai asap, so the contact there could buy them food. She gave me the username and i called him out on it, especially since troops there eat in the chow halls for free, along with his lack of military knowledge. He said i was a very mean person and i told him where he could go. Lo and behold his profile was gone the next day....LOL

Sex too soon
Posted: 10/18/2012 2:35:25 AM
Well there is a saying, "If you're getting the milk, why would you want the entire cow?"

Try keeping your legs closed for a little while, if a guy continues to hang around, it's a good bet he's interested in more than just sex.

Just sayin'.

should weed be legalized whats ur true opinion
Posted: 9/18/2012 11:21:29 PM
Yes it should be legalized. I've been a proponent for legalization for a long time.
Tax it, regulate it like cigarettes = a cash cow.

The Drug war is a waste of $$$. During my military career i did plenty of counter drug ops, it was like the little Dutch boy sticking his finger in the hole in the dyke.

Prostitution should be legalized as well. Tax it, regulate it = another cash cow. Seems to work pretty well in the areas of NV where it's legal.

I''ve had my fill of overseas travel for the most part..41 countries. Now my goal is to visit all 50 states. So far 14 and DC and counting!

THE KING!!!
Posted: 8/17/2012 5:08:06 PM
I watched it on MLB.TV, King was clicking and the Rays looked totally helpless, struck out 5 of the last 6 batters. It was really awesome to watch.

He's become more of a complete pitcher now. He can throw at least five pitches for strikes at any point in the count and discovered he doesn't need to throw 97mph on every pitch which makes him so much more dangerous. He has so much more movement now than in previous years and his Change up has batters swinging out of their jocks.

I'm guessing that if the M's don't significantly improve next year then Felix will be gone by the deadline. He does love Seattle and has been in the organization since 2002. But but going out there having to pitch a 1-0 or 2-1 ballgame just to get a chance to win has to wear on a person.

Sylvia is a total slug...lol Not hard to hit a stationary target. Mercer did KHTFO that's for sure.

Don't forget James Toney getting submitted in the 1st rd via arm triangle choke by a 47 yr old Randy Couture back in 2010.

I came across a lady's profile that said "I have zest for life."

I emailed her and asked how she got a lifetime supply of Zest soap. Did she go on Let's Make a Deal or something?

She called me a smart ass.. Then she later changed it to "I have a zest for life"

San Antonio Spurs thread
Posted: 5/30/2012 4:59:43 PM
While the Spurs aren't my favorite team, i do love watching them play. They play superb team offense and team defense, very disciplined and unselfish. Their bench players know their roles and do them very well. I think Coach Popovich is underated considering what he's accomplished.

In the one playoff game vs the Clippers, they were down 33-11 at the end of the 1st quarter. The reporter asked Popovich what they needed to do to get back into the game. He replied "Make more baskets", then walked away. The look on the reporters face was priceless They ended up winning the game.

I think their winning streak is at 19 games now? They're my pick to win it all.

Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums
Posted: 5/30/2012 4:50:11 PM
Rolling Stone has no credibility IMO.

They mercilessly slagged every Black Sabbath record and concert review throughout the 70's and now they have three of their albums in the top 500 of all time....puleeese. (Should've been at least 4 albums, IMO)

Then R.S. is drooling and all touchy feely like the old crazy uncle hidden away in the attic, over the Beatles and Springsteen....overrated, IMO.

Radiohead, Beck, and Moby (a trio of suck, if there ever was one) are on the list. But no Rush, Yes or at least DEEP PURPLE's iconic Machine Head??

Do these same people vote for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Shame)?

The thing about lists like this, everyone can debate till they're all blue in the face and not be right or wrong...lol

I don't agree with it, but I think it has to do with the lawsuit that was filed against POF for an ad that used a pic of a dead Soldier, that ran on the site.

Also i've heard Markus is no longer in the picture as far as POF goes. Probably some faceless souless corporation now.

If i was going to make anything a pay feature it would be the "My Matches" or "Meet Me" features, or the Chat feature.

But that's just me.

Posted: 3/7/2012 11:30:27 AM
I think Miami is going to go all out to get him. I don't really see him going to AZ since they already gave Kolb a big contract. Though that would be a good match with Fitz there. There is also talk about Seattle going for him and Wayne. And Paul Allen does have deep pockets.

WHAT IS A ACCEPTABLE DIFFERENCE IN AGE BETWEEN DATING AND MARRIAGE PARTNERS
Posted: 3/6/2012 10:05:57 AM
It's what is acceptable between the two people in the relationship. Depends on the people involved. Personally for me, 10 yrs difference is the max. Not to mention some people act/look younger/older than their age.

It can be cultural too In Asia it's not unusual for the man to be 15, 20+ yrs older than his wife. The woman considers the older man to be "more settled down and stable" than a man her own age.

Excellent episode! I had a feeling something might happen to Dale since he was basically the only one against executing Randall and being the "last voice of civilization".

I do love the series except for the fact they never seem to rarely resupply, hoard or scavange. If i was in that situation i'd be doing that constantly. At a minimum set up perimeter security. But then this is Hollywood

Rap Music and White Men
Posted: 3/6/2012 8:56:47 AM
I've seen the same with women saying everything "except Rap". Not liking a genre of music doesn't mean that person is racist.

I don't like Country music (except Johnny Cash), so does that mean i don't like white men or women in the 18 to 65 age group who live in rural areas? I don't think so. I don't have anything against Gregorian monks, but that doesn't mean i enjoy listening to Gregorian chants. I do like some Rap, older stuff like N.W.A. and Public Enemy. Since i only like some Rap, according to the OP would that make me partially racist?

Looking for those who want to discuss WWE, Pro Wrestling
Posted: 1/10/2012 8:00:41 AM
That's what happens when you get killed in a divorce settlement. You end up having to do things when way past your prime, or doing "Rent to Own" commercials. Flair is on his 4th marriage. Has this dude never heard of a pre-nup? And Hogan was cleaned out by his gold digger teenager dating wife.

Flair in his prime was incredible. Nobody could cut a promo like he did or even now for that matter. These days wrestlers are unfortunately closer to cartoon characters than anything else.

Incredibly dull game. I fell asleep at 12-0, woke up at 21-0 and realized i hadn't missed anything of note.

Down with the BCS. A team that doesn't even win it's own conference should not be playing for the National Championship.

Congrats to 'Bama though.

I've worked in the Middle East off and on the last few years, so yes, i have my Will all drawn up and Power of Attorney executed.

It's always good to have your affairs somewhat in order, since you just never know when the Grim Reaper will appear. As one poster mentioned be careful whom you give these powers to. I had a bad Power of Attorney experience as well. I got screwed over by someone i had trusted. It was a hard lesson learned. Just be very careful whom you trust to look over your affairs.

Ronnie James Dio of Rainbow/Dio/Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell fame is in the early stages of stomach cancer. He is currently being treated at the Mayo Clinic.

I've been a huge fan of his since his Rainbow days in the mid 70's to the present. Best wishes to RJD and his wife Wendy in his battle against the cancer.

Overrated Bands.
Posted: 11/25/2009 8:29:41 AM
So many to choose from...lol

1. Coldplay - Totally suck. They are one of those bands that women like so they can say they like "rock". Only reason they get any press is because the vocalist is married to Gwyneth Paltrow.

2. Nirvana - Turns out the most talented guy in that band was drummer Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters fame. Had a couple catchy songs with some pop hooks and a good indy producer in Butch Vig. They came along at the right time. I knew about a dozen garage bands in the Seattle area at that time that were better.

3. Aerosmith - Turned into Top 40 crap. Haven't done anything decent since the late 70's. Another band that women like so they can say they like "rock".

Honorable mention: U2 with the self-important Bono. Bassist and band enforcer Adam Clayton needs to do a better job of keeping him grounded. Def Leppard, peaked with High n' Dry. Turned into Top 40 teen girl pop rock crap after that.

The above is IMHO of course.

IMO, Rampage's "retirement" will last until the filming of The A Team is complete. I seriously doubt that acting will be Rampage's future long-term employment. Dana White is a businessman first and foremost, they'll kiss and make up after Rampage is done filming his movie.
