Is doing a trade ok??
Posted: 4/17/2008 5:58:15 AM
There is many things women are better at than men though they will not admit it but i will tell you what i know is true .
Woman are better shots as in shooting a rifle or pistol and easier to teach.
They are better at organising a program in a time scale that is people required, for how long, the task they are doing.
In other places in the world they have woman welders and they are better than most of the guys but not me
Dont underestimate your ability .

how many women, without kids, would date men with kids?
Posted: 12/21/2006 2:45:42 AM
Well i am a male with 3 kids at home with me 70% of the time and i do find it hard to get some ME time and even harder to go out to meet people , Having said that it is the responsability of the parents to look after there children so if you invite someone else into your world they should accept the rugrats (man or woman) as adults we give our kids the tools to move into society so a stable environment for them to grow is essential ...
If you dont like kids dont date people with kids

new IR laws
Posted: 11/28/2006 3:39:03 AM
I met Arthur Scargil ( Dont know the spelling for surname) in 1983 i think , i had a good conversation with him about the things he said .
This was at a time when unoins had strength although nearing the end of a 10 week strike
Arthur was the leader of the coal miners strike in pomgolia , Fighting against Magi thacther
(hear after known as THE BE ITCH ) This is what he said;
A vat (gst) will be introduced in to Australia
the government will undermine unions in any way possible
Wages will be kept low and the cost of living will rise to keep the working class working all the hours they can get out of you
The government will take away your rights bit by bit till we can not pull back the reins
GST will then go up and more taxes will be introduced
(the federal gov rakes in an extra 260,000,000. from the gst and it is not going to get any better for us as the working class ARE the people that pay this money)
ONE way to protest about this is not to strike or abuse your boss (as much as he/she may need it) but to stand togeather and have a day off ,call it a sicky or what you want but if we can get people of all indurtrys to do this the country will grind to a halt for the day and people will start to listern .
THIS CAN WORK and no one needs to suffer to much we can do it togeather !!!!!!!!!!!

They call it SOPs ( standard operational procedures )
Act before you think and i must say training is the key to this because if your patrol is contacted ( met by the enemy ) an intsinct to do what you are trained to do and not freeze but do what you must . To be not just a team but feel a real bond your mates are like brothers you depend on them as they do you and you dont leave them behind.
The courses in an indirect way have helped me ie; Discipline organization and empathy the later not a need or requirement for the army and not desired.
If someone enteres the ADF with as impressionable mind not a strong mind they will stay for a long time in the ADF. Young a thinker and grounded will not last long.
Me i was just a ratbag with attitude

nun your on the ball and what you say is true

been in the army 3 years mid 80s made sarg stripes and didnt want then or any others i was happy as a gunner/sniper , I did like all the courses they sent me on you learn a lot and it still sticks with me as they drum it in maybe thats why the ADF ( army ) Is one of the best in the world.
My son wants to join the ADF , I dont want him to as i can see what the future holds and its not good , our kids are going to war to fight for WHAT ??? They do not know what it is like to kill another person , no one prepairs then for the emotions they will feel . Its all about the warm and fuzzy feeling at first , you will not get that ....

Nth Korea and the nuclear tests
Posted: 10/7/2006 5:45:01 AM
Good topic and a lot of good points of view
I respect all your views i agree with some in part.
I feel the world at the moment is walking on eggs and thinking about hoping.
Who suffers the most ( please think about that ) if it hurts then take a few paracetamol or ibuprofen with codeine phosphate that will ease the pain but dont operate machinery on this medication and see a doctor if pain persistes.
Where will they (north Korea) test ? ? ? ? Mururoa Atoll like the French for years no decades or USA on Japan (Hiroshima "238")and(Nagasaki "235")The numbers relate to the Atomic weight of the sorce used.
The USA are the only ones to use such devices to kill on mass.
WE the people DO NOT need or want to see this again .
No country needs neuks,We do need to respect and understand not impose sanctions to force or deny any one , a proactive approach could change things ?????
More paracetamol or ibuprofen with codeine phosphate if required only after the mandatory 4 hours has lapsed.

Well done bells
as an ex landlord i can say if your tenants need something fixed JUST DO IT or the landlord will lose the tenants.
any repairs or expences are a tax deduction.
If he hasnt the money to fix things then he shouldnt be a landlord
Stick to your guns and if i was you i would look at every little thing in the place and give him a list , that may wake him up.

An Inconvenient Truth
Posted: 10/1/2006 7:17:03 PM
Have not seen the movie , I did go to the link and watch the trailer .
What i noticed is the word IF the ice cap melts
Dont know about you people but as for me IFs Buts and Maybes are non events.
A Documentary is suposed to present the facts ,I feel not what this film is about.
A new title is needed for the movie.
An Inconvenient If or An Inconvenient What If.
How much green house gases have been produced by people going to see the movie or are going to see the movie ???
Here is another impossible question to answer.
If friction causes heat how long would it take an orang-utan to Fcuk a bucket of water to boiling point .

CC i think you should and everyone else should be able to say what you think or believe and post it without getting it removed,We all have opinions and we should respect others opinions,so the people that object to or offended by what is posted are shallow minded people. They can say what they feel or are they a little sick maybe, maladjusted, disfunctional, or think the universe revolves around them .
They should wipe there eyes and build a bridge to get over it
Go you good thing CC

Although and perhaps can also be used at the cut off point but i use Let Me Finish and then you can have your say, but that can be a bit long for some people so shut up can be used and can be as affective

Brains - Turn off or Turn on
Posted: 9/17/2006 12:15:02 AM
Brains are a turn ON for me
That is to say if the lady has an open-mind and can talk about anything and accept that others have an opinion even if you dont agree with it.
Not into the coke bottle glasses or intelligent people that know a lot about a few things,
Paris Hilton with brains ( a lot more brains ) would make her a lot more attractive but not my type LOL
I dont tolerate fools well (male or female ) i think thats is why my ex left me.

Testing your guy. What are top ten ways you've used to find out what's up”?
Posted: 7/7/2006 2:58:23 AM
Just ask like everyone else but i keep asking till i get the TRUTH and that use to annoy my ex.The fact that i could tell she was lying to me and she knows i will not give up till i get the truth.but to this day she still tries to lie to me and when i let her know she gets angry with me.Why do people do this.Is it a genetic, psychological,or the way these people are brought up.
The truth is easy you dont have to think about it
The truth hurts but you can have closure, forgivness, revenge.
Lies lead to anxiety frustration anger bitterness and so on.

PROFOUND life changing moments...
Posted: 7/1/2006 5:55:44 AM
June 22 1988
this happened to Me
We as in myself and 2 friends went out fishing in the morning and planned to be back by 12:00/1:00 we had engine trouble on the way back in the wind was picking up and the wind swell was to.We turned back out to sea as there was an island nearby so once there we fixed the motor or so we thought. We headed off a 35 K trip punching into the swell.
7Ks off the island and now dark the motor stoped and didnt start again,no moon overcast so it was pitch black the wind was 20 - 25 knots 2meter windchop so it was white water everywhere. We had a sea sand and reef anchor out to try and stop the wind and swell from pushing us to Bali.
9:00 - 9:15 we noticed the boat had taken on some water,by the time we could do anything the boat had capsized, with the anchors out and the current the boat only stayed on the surface for a few minutes so we had to try and swim to the nearest island 7 Ks away in the dark the middle of winter and waves pounding us.By 6:30 in the morning we made the island and there we stayed for 2 days till they found us.
We made the news and TV and we changed that night.

KAKODA By Peter Fitzsimons
The book was well writen and very well researched
If anyone is into Australian War history it is well worth a read and the book has pictures I dont think i need to say much about the story as all Australians should have some knowledge of the event but the book does put into perspective for you the hardship the mateship and the great loss...

I was smacked as a youngster and it didnt do me any harm I got the cane and strap at school from grade 2 onward till first year high (so i was a slow learner)
I have not smacked my kids for years. I dont see any great problem with a smack on the bum that is 1 smack not a spanking in syllables.
If we all think when we have smacked our childern ,most of the time it has been in anger at what they have done (pause) send them to there room you settle down an then go talk to them tell them what they did and why you are unhappy with what they did and then tell tham that you love them . they will respond much better i know i have 3 that live with me and i am a single dad have my problems but my kids are great and we do have lots of fun
I love you daddy are the best words to hear
