Posted: 2/22/2006 12:26:10 PM
I do watch tv....and I do enjoy some programs...and I"ll go Mon-Sun so I don't get confused lmao

Mon
7th Heaven

Tues
American Idol
House

Wed

Criminal Minds (I think it's on Wed but I dont' remember lol)

Thurs
ER - I have NEVER once missed an episode but I just record it if I"m busy

Fri & Sat

There is nothing on that I like

Sun
Grey's Anatomy

besides those I do like Law and Order serious and the only show on that whole list that is a MUST SEE is ER! lmao my life doesn't and never will revolve around TV but it is a nice break from reality...I dont' mind amazing race (my mother loves it so I hear about it anyways)...and I don't mind reality TV but I"m not big on Survivor....

I Want More - I think you may be onto something here....I think that some people don't really know what honesty is though...what they see as being honest is what they think honesty is....I try to be an open person and so honesty for me is being who I am ...and as I say...you don't like it...there is the door hehehehehe

Salute to honesty
Posted: 2/22/2006 7:16:32 AM

In general it seems that people think that others are being dishonest. I try to be as honest as I can and yet I am still questioned about my comments or intentions. People are sceptical no matter how honest you think you are.

I could not have said it better myself....I try to be the most honest person I can be because I really can't stand dishonesty in friends so why would I be that way...and all that happens is that I'm not trusted....guess that is the way life is....

He was a liberal......Douglas was the NDP at that time....
And Lester B was a good Prime Minister, also won the Nobel Peace prize, designed the peace keepers...the list goes on!

I'm sorry...you are correct he was a liberal - as for the good Prime Minister part I am unsure - everythign that I was told in classes was not so great but I may be mistaken

cyfer - 1963-1968 Lester (Mike) Pearson - he drove the country into a stand still and almost an economical depression......of course this is just what I have read in history books as I was not here when this happened....however it seems from everything that I have read that is was a horrible time for Canada

DaBoMb - Voting isn't a right...it's a privledge....if you dont' vote you are setting the example to countries that dont' have the right that you dont' want the right....even if you go into the voting booth and spoil your ballet....it's an amazing accomplishment in any country when you have the privledge in speaking your mind regarding how our country is run.....

just my 2 cents

Maybe they shouldnt be taboo, as they have been the downfall of many a relationship!!!

I agree with you cyfer......the problem with "taboo discussions" is that if you never talk about them then how exactly will you learn about a person.....

EDIT - it's 15 hours and 37 minutes from Huntsville...it's still a bit far for coffee...don't ya think??

is it so difficult????
Posted: 11/11/2005 7:29:00 AM
island - lmao .....I think you may be right

caressa - he figured it out on his own......I dont' talk about how much money or lack there of I make....but I own my own house and my car and I go to school full time with not alot of debt (yes I have mortgage payments and such) but he managed to figure out that I may make alot more money than him...but I also work about 35 hours more a week too! lmao...so it's all relative I suppose......

Kit - the thought of someone taking care of you and protecting you sounds amazing in theroy but I think Island may be correct in the "hang on" theroy!

sorry "cling on" theroy - it's friday...sorry lmao

is it so difficult????
Posted: 11/11/2005 7:00:32 AM
I dont' care if he wants to pay.....it is him that is making a huge issue of this.....and he automatically assumes we are starting a relationship after only a few dates.....he is the one that was complaining to my best friend that I'm high maintence because I drink $30 a bottle wine instead of beer (which I'm allergic too - cuz I do love it lmao).......he's made a huge issue of money and I don't understand it.....he also told my friend that he can't handle dating someone that makes more money than him.....so am I suppose to quit my job to date someone? LMFAO I don't think so.......

the thing is that this isn't the first time this has happened to me....is it so wrong for a woman to make more money than a man? why is it an issue? I understand the whole "old male/female roles" crap...but comeon it's 2005 not 1905......

is it so difficult????
Posted: 11/11/2005 6:42:35 AM
I can handle the being protected part....its nice to know that someone is there to keep you safe....it's more the financial end of things.....I realize that over many years it has been the man's job to take care of the woman but times have changed......and yes I have expensive taste in somethings but that is becaue I can afford those things and I don't expect anyone to buy them for me.....

and I'm a firm believer that if I ask him out then I pay ....and if he asks me out then he pays....if it's a mutual thing then we split....is there really anything wrong with that??

Malcolm - things didn't really work out no....but that is my own fault....I jumped to a conclusion before really sitting down and justifying things....and quite honestly if a guy can't handle my success with work etc then he can't be around me....I'm not going to start failing just because he can't handle the fact that I love my job and I'm doing well at it....maybe I am selfish...but at this point my career is the only thing that I have (aside from the obvious of course).....and I"m not willing go give any of it up.......not just for anyone....

Really is it so difficult for men to comprehend that some woman don't need to be taken care of and that some of us don't like being put on a petastool (spelling I know)??? I'm sooo sick of all the bullsh@t of "I want to take care of you ....." I take care of myself......I'm not a friggin baby anymore....I just want someone to take me for who and what I am and to live with it....not take care of me....I have everything I need in my life really......I would like someone to just compliment my life......someone that I can spend time with .....without having to worry about him needing to take care of me.....

Can anyone else relate to this at all?? *sigh*
