Is BDSM wrong in your view?
Posted: 12/20/2006 3:22:24 AM
In answer to the post that asked " How much energy could it take....?"

The answer is a great deal. The concentration on the part of the Dom/me is intense, he/she must exercise extreme control and be ever vigilant of the sub's well being. That is a huge part of being able to trust your partner. It takes skill to bring the right amount of kink to a relationship and it takes work to set those scenes up and play them out. The result is an exquisite experience for both partners, but also a very exhausting one.

Would anyone video tape you and someone having sex?
Posted: 12/9/2006 7:09:56 PM
I did that with my late husband, but he secretly recorded us. We both enjoyed it and when he was in the last year of his life I like to think he reviewed the tape and remembered the better days we had, don't know if he did or not or whether he recorded over it.

Hmmm...maybe I better to a search for that tape, could be dangerous in the wrong hands.

So you want to play poker for a living in Las Vegas.

Great story Pokerman!! I couldn't wait to read it, so I logged in as soon as I got back from vacation. It is a kick to see the game from a veteran players point of view. I am a novice, but love the game no less. I look forward to your next adventures.

Rape Role-Playing
Posted: 11/26/2006 7:55:04 PM
One of the basic factors in any role playing or Dom/sub relationship has been overlooked in this thread. That is the fact that the submissive is the one with the control in the situation. The sub has the control through use of the aforementioned "safe" words and (hopefully) thorough discussion of the dynamics of the ravishment play ahead of time.

Personally, this role playing scenario is one of several that I would enjoy, however I don't want to know the time or place, just throw it into the mix of our "play"ful lifestyle.

Yes, please, pokerman, leave the tips intact. I need all the help I can get on those betting strategies. I know the game (though I never played a 1-3-6 table), I just don't bet my hands well enough. Also, I like your tips on the "tells" of the players. Keep it going, I am really enjoying this. I will be back!

Any suggestions from the bdsm crowd?
Posted: 11/17/2006 5:14:09 AM
As someone who was in exactly the place of the kind of person you are hoping to reach with your profile, I think it is extremely well done. One suggestion I would make would be to put the word "dominant" in your interests. When I was searching, that was the key word I used.

Don't let the uninitiated wear you down, it isn't worth the wasted effort to respond.

IMHO only women who are very strong in their day to day lives are secure enough to submit to a man totally. Think Kate in "The Taming of the Shrew".

top 10 list #2 Worst places to try and drive
Posted: 11/12/2006 4:44:50 AM
Apparently my side yard. There is a 3/4 Ton pick stuck on my side hill just a few feet from my house. It ended up there at 12:30 this morning. Ain't rural American just great!!!! If you want dirt roads, potholes, narrow lanes (oh ,I forgot there are no lanes) and crazy drivers come visit my little corner of the world.

Sorry, can't help you with the tattoo part, but you are right you need far more that a few days there. I love the energy that city has.

Check out The Auto Collection at The Imperial Palace, and the bird sanctuary at The Flamingo. More than just flamingos there. I love the Shops at the Forum (Caesar's), not so much to shop at (my pocketbook doesn't support that lifestyle) but there are little tableau's played out in the center courts as the statuary comes to life. My favorite is the one about Atlantis. The Spice Market at the Aladdin is pretty nice too and there is a gelato place there....well in the words of Rachael Ray....yummo!!

If you are a thrill junkie then the roller coasters on the top of the Stratosphere are a must do, or, for the more timid, lunch at the restaurant there will gain you admission to the observation area and shops.

I wish I were going too!!

So I'm going to Hawaii for the first time...
Posted: 11/11/2006 10:37:48 PM
Regarding the Polynesian Cultural Center: Friends and I went last April and were able to get a package deal that included transportation from our hotel (Hilton Hawaiian Village) to the Center, entrance to the Center and a luau and the evening show. We were met by a guide who offered his services to get us to most of the venues in an expedient fashion, we accepted and paid the extra dollars (I think it was $10) for his expertise, it was *well* worth it. The evening show was spectacular, but be warned, no flash cameras are allowed and they are very strict about enforcing that so make sure you have a camera that allows you to turn off the flash if you want to get pictures. I think the total cost of our package was around $65 plus the guide and of course the gratuities for the bus driver and guide. I would have liked a second day there to take in the few venues we were unable to get to, but was well satisfied with the experience as it was.

What does 69 mean?
Posted: 10/29/2006 8:10:19 PM
The Bingo caller at the church would never call out O 69, too embarrassed I think. He ended up saying, dinner for 2 and the entire hall roared.

The Smile On Her Face. The Flies In Her Eyes.
Posted: 10/29/2006 8:47:33 AM
I really do like the style of your writing. Is it just something in the water there in Maine that the writers in that state seem to lean to wards the horror genre? I am, of course, referring to Mr. King. You have a great deal of potential IMHO. Keep at it! King published a work of non-fiction entitled "On Writing". It is a very good primer on writing and getting published, I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about their craft. I would love to see you write from your experiences at the poker table, and that seedy side of Vegas that they never quite show you the truth of on television.

The Smile On Her Face. The Flies In Her Eyes.

Hmmm. I like it. Very reminiscent of Stephen King's early work. A little bit of "The Stand" and a touch of "The Regulators" (under the pseudonym of Richard Bach), but still, original. Having read most everything King has written, I saw where this was going very early on, but the prose is very good and you have a great way with visualization. Well done!! Thanks for the diversion!

Hi, I am Lin from the Southern Tier of NY. Have met quite a few very nice fishes swimming in this pond, would like to meet a few more. Give my profile a look-over and if you see anything that strikes the right chord, drop me a line. I enjoy email, chats, phone conversations and face to face meetings.

I'M TAKING A BREAK!
Posted: 9/11/2006 3:18:45 AM
NoMoreRegrets,

First of all, congratulations on the new job, I am sure with your talent you will move up quickly. Whatever you want to do will be within your grasp as long as you continue to reach for it.

Thank you for your review. I moved things around in my profile ever so slightly to take the emphasis off the fact that I am a grandmother. You were correct in your assessment of my children and grandchildren.

Thank you for your time, and is "anywho" a real word? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

How much does a profession play a part in choosing a mate??
Posted: 9/3/2006 8:15:55 PM
I think that if two people are at different stages in their lives it would have an impact on their potential relationship. I look at the persons potential to be ready for retirement at the same time I am. For instance, if he is already retired, he may have a problem with me continuing to work, or if he is younger than I, will he want to retire when I am ready. That can break up a relationship very quickly. Of course if the couple has enough years to be able to plan a financially secure retirement for them both to retire at the same time, that would be different. Since many people list their profession as retired, it is another aspect to consider.

porn for females
Posted: 9/2/2006 5:50:50 AM
I enjoy porn of all types. If you ask what I want to see, it is Anne Rice's "Beauty Trilogy" (written under the pen name of A. N. Roquelaure) made into a movie, not with the usual porn stars either, I want to see Brad Pitt, maybe Sean Connery, even Jolie and Anniston. Mmmmmm, I know Pierce Brosnan. Now, that would be a porn flick I think a lot of ladies would enjoy. If you are unfamiliar with the "Beauty Trilogy" it is worth googling. Very adult fairy tale.

Upstate NY POF campaign...
Posted: 8/29/2006 2:55:22 AM
I think you are correct. I am from what is referred to as the Southern Tier of NY and people from NYC think I am upstate. I am midway between Binghamton & Ithaca, only about 20 miles from the PA border. How is that upstate? Now my summer home on the edge of the St. Lawrence River, THATS upstate. And there are a great bunch of people on this site, I am liking it better than the 2 dating sites I paid for. Love the forums too.
