Correct me if I'm talking bollox, but the way I see it, is that if 55 million people working, and paying tax, should provide enough revenue for the services which the state provides for those 55 million,
then surely the same equation applies to 60 million, or 70..? -And that's regardless of where they're from, or the colour of their skin.

You really should look into economics. Especially the law of supply and demand; jobs are a finite resource. As such if you increase the demand by bringing in extra workers then the intrinsic financial recompense for the job decreases.
the more people chasing the job then the more competition and thus the lower the wage for that job.

Think of it like an auction in reverse. Then...the lower the wage the lower the tax paid to the treasury and the more benefits paid to the recipient, housing benefit, tax credits etc. The employer is happy as his or her wage bill decreases and allows them to make even more profit to invest (in the Cayman Isles).

Meanwhile the rest of us subsidise the employee's wages through the welfare state and out taxes.

I won't even mention infrastructure, but take note: It's not rebuilt every year on January the 1st.

If you do the research you'll find that the amount of money and effort put into swaying the Labour party and the unions that immigration is a good thing is unbelievable. Even the supposed "free press" had a hand in changing the zeitgeist of the times. Google: "The Economic league" and "The Adam Smith Institute" if you aren't familiar with them.

Otherwise...great post!

do you really think that's gonna make someone who that thinks HE "deserves" 3 Yachts, and a small Caribbean island, for being so clever, suddenly decide to pay his workers a bigger slice of the pie, and make do with just the ONE Ferarri, and only one home...?

Well if he doesn't then he's going to end up with no Ferrari at all, so it's the lesser of two evils.

Nearly every right the working man has now not to mention the welfare state came about due to the shortage of manpower after the second world war. Man power was in short supply and firms had to compete for workers (through better pay and conditions) or go bust. Mass immigration was seen as the remedy for this state of affairs.

That's despite all the figures, which show that immigrants contribute more than they take... ?

See you're still trotting out that line Jo. For the sake of clarity: When the 1% "executive directors", "shareholders" and others at the very top 1% of the income demographic are removed from the equation, and the remaining "contributions" from immigrants are factored across the remaining 99% of us...Does that still apply?

Is there room for violence in protests?
Posted: 1/24/2014 9:49:09 AM
Violent protests and the possibility of civil unrest is the one thing the government and vested interests truly fear.

One only need look at the extortionate prison sentences given to some of the London rioters. One woman was even imprisoned for stealing a £1.20 bottle of pop from a looted corner shop.

Meanwhile Harriet Harmon fiddles £12,000 worth of expenses through faking invoices and gets a slap on the wrist.
Bear in mind this woman is in a position of trust too. That's 10,000 times the amount stolen by the opportunistic lady looter.

I still remember Harmon being pulled on her expenses on question time and coming out with the reply "Yes we do seem to have a problem with the system" Can you imagine a burglar in the dock coming out with the excuse "Yes we do seem to have a problem with the burglar alarm".

Enjoy your freedoms when you can dear reader as we are finally hitting a point in technological history where civil unrest will be impossible.

NHS workers to wear £1,000 fat suits to work with obesity.

The reason the Daily Mail and many other newspapers focus so much on immigration is simply because it sells papers.

People are genuinely worried and concerned about what is happening in the UK on that front and want to be informed about it.

Interesting perspective Jo Van.

Here's some more Memes for you...

"Union Barons"
"Sick man of Europe"
"Union Thugs"
"Immigrants fuel the economy"

Notice they're all nominilisations so can't be subjected to any scrutiny or analysis. "Immigrants are taking our jobs etc" isn't a meme as it's quantifiable and can be proven or disproved.

You're of course correct about manufacturing moving overseas but it's a bit of a straw man to allude that the same dynamic within the job market in which most immigrants work; Namely the service industry.

I'm just popping out to Costa now for a Latte..Oh bugger they've relocated to India!

The £3.4 Million was funded by the Economics leagues wealthy backers. (If you're not familiar with the group do some research it will be right up your alley)

Without immigration there would be a shortage of manpower and firms would have no choice but to compete with each other to hire workers. The average wage would increase as would workers rights. Any multi national who didn't wish to go down that path would be unable to function and go out of business.

So...it's a choice of dipping into their billions or having no "Billions" at all.

Most of the workers rights we have now stem from the shortage of manpower from the deaths of so many men in the second world war. We had the "wealthy elite" over a barrel and they didn't like it, but they didn't have any choice...except.

Ah yes...lets start large scale immigration so the supply and demand dynamic doesn't apply to us..and if anyone complains just play the racist card.

But what about the unions? Step in the economic league and an oxbridge team of persuasion engineers ready to wade into the new science of memetic engineering (thanks Dawkins) supply £3.4 million budget and the mainstream newspapers ready to do their bidding.

Create a few memes, release them, then wait for them to find a Mary and hay ho. Even the socialists are infected.
(Socialists tend to be very altruistic [read; Decent people with societal values] and it's easy to play on their sense of fairness)

doesn't surprise me that you've failed to understand, what I've said, I dare say that happens to you a lot....
What I've actually said, (in other contexts) was that immigrants are net contributors to the economy, - that includes everything. They contribute more than they take..

You've been pulled on that one before Jo Van. The "Economy" is an extremely complex concept and open to interpretation and logomachy.

Consider this. If immigrants created £5 billion pound profit for the biggest corporations in the UK (through lower wages and the nullification of the labour market; supply and demand dynamic) but cost the working man/woman £4.5 billion between them then that's classed as a net contribution to the economy.

But is it a benefit to me or you or 95% of the working population of the UK?

Of course not. It just benefits the richest people in the UK.

I agree with nearly all your political views, but you're wrong on this one. It's an engineered belief and you can thank the economic league and the Adam Smith foundation for you believing it.

Did you know; the more you challenge someones belief the more they dig their heels in?

why do women say no pic no reply
Posted: 11/23/2013 5:54:52 AM
A lot of paranoia on this issue, from a mans point of view is that if someone specifies no pic no reply it's a good filter to put them in the "don't contact bin" for the following reasons.

1/Who wants a girlfriend who will go out with anyone as long as they're nice looking?

2/ Really hot girls soon take their pics down when they're bombarded by players so it's easier for us genuine guys to find them.

3/ People have had their pics pasted onto sex dating sites into fake profiles by rejected suitors.

4/ Finding a remarkable woman is a lot harder than finding a hot one; so why not put the cart before the horse?

5/ Shallow is very unattractive in a woman.

A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell. He just wants you to think that they're are a lot of other women chasing him.

Ladies do like a man who lots of other ladies like. If he actually DID have a lot of the fairer sex pursuing him he would most likely keep it quiet and plan on amassing a harem of booty calls.

Did the lady in question have children herself? I have heard from women in the past that choosing to not have children when they are young then changing their mind in their later years when it is too late is one of the bitterest pills a woman (or man) will have to swallow and can create a lot of anger in the person involved.

Perhaps her anger was being directed at you for she will never have what you have, and your family day together was a dagger twisted in her lonely heart?

Hypnosis is very real and has been used to anesthetise patients undergoing major surgery and they certainly weren't faking. Contrary to belief; the more intelligent you are then the easier you are to hypnotise as most "street hypnosis" is done through either confusion inductions or pattern interrupts (a form of confusion induction) Intelligent people generally don't get confused easily in everyday life so hypnotic confusion is more powerful to them and more likely to induce trance.

"Too nice" means you didn't create any sexual attraction. A girl who tells you this could quite easily be swept off her feet and into bed with the next guy who comes along who can make her feel desire and desired at the same time. Add some excitement, adventure and the chemistry will follow.

Oh yes, I believe in the death penalty for everyone, not just for crimes against children. I mean, aren't adults human beings, too?

The reason we don't have the death penalty is because the justice system isn't perfect and miscarriages can and do occur.
Seeing as you're so sure of your convictions here's a chance to prove them.

Would you be prepared to go before a New Zealand commissioner of oaths and publicly swear that should in the next 5 years any persons subsequently found innocent of a crime in the UK which would have carried the death penalty after a period of imprisonment which would have seen the death sentence enacted you will pay that person a sum of £20,000 sterling of your own money? After all; if you're sure enough to risk an innocent persons life then surely you will put mere money were your mouth is or face being ridiculed as a hypocrite. If you PM me your personal details I will contact Amnesty international NZ and arrange it for you. What say you?

high heels or no?
Posted: 3/31/2013 6:08:39 AM
High heels are one of the few things which always make a woman more attractive. It depends on your height if you wear them. If a guy is 6'+ then he already knows he is tall and not bothered if you're taller than him wearing your 6" LeBou's, it's the short guys (most of them) who sometimes have an issue. A tall woman who also wears high heels is likely to be seen as very confident and not concerned of others opinions of her. Now that is very attractive.

"Idle British layabouts?" you mean the ones who work the longest hours in Europe with some of the least rights. The immigrants undercut the nationals on wage then send a large percentage of their wages back to their own countries and deprive local economies. If you think immigrants are more impressive than british natives then some might say that's a racist comment.

The simple FACT is that immigrants are net contributors to the economy.
For those of you who don't know what that means, it means they earn us more money, than they cost us.

Here we go again. The problem with such statements is the interpretation and the meaning given to the words in it.

For instance "The economy" and "us". I'm guessing you're referring to the "Gott and Johnson" report findings so here's some thinking outside the box for you.

If immigrants cost every working person in the UK say £10 a week in in lower wages, use of health service, increased crime, interpreters etc etc then the total cost to working man would be about £30,000,000 per week. However if say thirty multinational or large national firms were making an increased profit from this of £30,000,001 then that would be classed as a net contribution to the economy even though only a very small percentage of the population (the fat cats) were benefiting from the situation. Meanwhile 30,000,000 people are worse off from immigration. You can't just say "us" and lump us all together. You're being misled Jo and the people who are doing it are the ones benefiting.

It's true the IP changes everytime you connect to the internet. But POF do have software to block your MAC address which stays the same. That's why when you're banned your banned. You should report the user and leave it to them. I had the same thing were a phone number was messaged far to soon. I Googled it and it came up as a SCAM number straight away.

Traveling at light speed. Does time reall stop?
Posted: 2/26/2013 10:52:59 AM
In string-theory and its variants 10 spacetime dimensions (Or 11 M-theory) are postulated. Were this to be true then anyone of these dimensions could be acting as a conduit for the "information" If this is so, could the binary spin be used to transmit information (in theory) back in time to the point where the entanglement took place? The theory exists outside of the normal constraints of a four dimensional universe and the points X and Y are existing as a singularity so would this also apply to the concepts of past and future?

Aggressive blocking - Why?
Posted: 2/26/2013 10:16:31 AM
If they block you then why should you let it concern you? They're not the type of person who you would be interested in and they're acting as their own filter by removing their passive aggressive selves from future consideration.

Blocking should only really be used when someone harasses you. To do so otherwise reflects an underlying issue in the blocker.

I understand that the special theory of relativity doesn't say that in principle, it's impossible for something to travel faster than the speed of light.

What about quantum entanglement? In theory per bells theorem itself the inducement of say spin in an electron could be used to transmit information instantly to it's entangled twin in basic binary code.

If a photon is traveling through space at the speed of light and encounters say a diamond as it passes through the diamond it's speed will slow down slightly but as it reaches the other side and passes into space it speeds up again. Clearly i am not ugly and no issues here and i agree with the fact when i was younger the slags did get the interest. Simply because men just wanted to get laid and the easiest women theyd bother with. Simple as

From a mans point of view the girls you approach are the attractive ones as attraction isn't a choice. Once the approach was made then you sussed out how friendly the girl was and went from there. You had no way of eliciting a girls likelihood of jumping into bed with you until you did so. I hate the term "slag" and it's usually women who use it; why not say "the passionate ladies" instead? How many men on here have encountered the situation where they had really clicked with a girl and her not so good looking friend has "rescued" her just to make herself feel better because nobody has approached her? Beautiful women who have reached their mid 20's have been approached literally thousands of times so even if they sleep with 2% of the guys who try to woo them that's 20 guys. Does that make her a slag.....2%.....really?

Tip to guys approaching very attractive women: They have been approached so much that they develop an auto pilot response to new guys trying to chat them up as time is precious and you can't spend hours every night chin wagging with every Tom, D*ck or Harry when there are lots of girly things to do like dancing round handbags and gossiping over who's doing what. The main autopilot response is "I have a boyfriend" the reply to this is "ok" then just barrel through with what you were going to say anyway as long as it's not anything to do with how pretty or sexy she looks- you're the tenth guy that night to say it. An old favourite back in the day was "I need a female opinion on something" Totally neutral no attraction implied then follow with sublime wooing and manly magnetism then arm in arm to the taxi later.

Meanwhile two not so good looking girls who fancied you are having the conversation along the lines of "He's only with her because she's a slag"

Have you never heard of instant chemistry? "Morals" are a persons view- sometimes objective but usually subjective- of what is "right" and what is "wrong" The Church has a lot of blame at it's door for including inter relationship and sexual issues with things which are genuinely ethically harmful and do cause harm to others. 50 years ago sex before marriage was considered a "sin" in a big section of society. Women like sex just as much as men but still carry the evolutionary hardwiring of having to make sure that the man will stay around if she became pregnant to help raise the child. The courtship process was a series of unconscious filters to weed out the ones who might not do this. Romance and intimacy are wonderful things but lets not say that a woman who might want to satisfy her passionate womanly desires with a guy she just met as lacking self respect.

I still remember from my clubbing days the best looking and friendliest girls being surrounded by male suitors and the not so good looking and ones with issues looking on saying "they're only interested because she's a slag" and jumping on the moral high horse to make themselves feel better.

taking your time and instant chemistry are both of equal merit but remember the old adage "she who hesitates is lost"

An American survey from the early 90's was set up to interview 10,000 people age 80+ to extract all the wisdom they had accumulated over their lives and publish it in a book whose name I can't remember but something along the lines of "The wisdom of....." One of the questions was :" what do you regret most in your life?" The usual suspects of "caring what others think" and "not traveling more" came up (the top ten were all things that they HADN'T done-a lesson to be learned there I think) Number 7 was "Not having children" but if you removed the respondents who had children which skewed the statistics then not having children was the number one regret by a huge margin. So if that's your decision then think long and hard about it.

Ethnicity Data
Posted: 2/22/2013 9:07:11 AM
Social housing is allocated on a basis of need only. The reason it "discriminates" against indigenous is because it would be very rare that a family with children would have slipped through the net to such an extent that they are literally living on the streets, whereas an immigrant family just arrived in the UK would be classed as that as they have nowhere to go and the social services are legally obliged to not let that happen. Unfortunately certain councils from high immigrant areas with a high immigrant penetration of the local government infrastructure are blatantly favouring persons from their own ethnic backgrounds....Bradford/Leicester anyone....and before anyone jumps on their high horse this means against anyone not from their own ethnic background which means Poles, Africans etc etc so I'm pointing it out from an anti racist perspective.

Both of us thrown out along with some innocent bystanders (sorry guys) her standing outside bellowing "Do you know who I am?" to whit the manager replies "Yes a fvcking psycho" only to be informed he was a "dead man walking" At this point I decided to exit the area and cut the night short for a kebab instead!

What is a player
Posted: 2/18/2013 10:15:30 AM
A player is someone who likes women so much he want's lots of them...but why does he like them so much? There are a few reasons.
1/ He has low self esteem and thinks he can boost it by bedding as many as possible.
2/ He likes the thrill of the chase.
3/ He enjoys the company of women.
4/ He wants to be seen by his peers in the company of beautiful women to increase his status within the group.
5/ He has a high sex drive.
6/ He's angry at women for some reason and want's to get his own back by transferring some of his hurt to them.
7/ He feels he has "missed out" when he was younger and is making amends.
8/ He wants to romance them to make them feel good because it makes him feel good to do so.
9/ He's not getting any from his wife or girlfriend.
10/ He's searching for "the one" and "the one" is out of his league.

Stillsparkly and TheResownRose are minions of the shapeshifting lizards sitting in an underground complex beneath the North pole and posting on here to discredit the words of the prophet of light soulunion!

But they are unmasked in their demonic machination by the anagrams of their names. Stillsparkly=Rat Skills Ply and resownrose=Sneer Or Sow. Back to aeons of darkness you two......

Msg 77, that ^^^ "manifesto" seems to have been written by someone who doesn't want to take the medication they've been prescribed.

Although it's entertainment value was well worth the read! I think the "crush like insects" bit might have a few tory politicians nodding their head though.

For clarification...where are the "higher realms"?

Has an argument ever changed your mind?
Posted: 2/17/2013 3:00:14 AM

^ ^ ^ As I've said, religion is the HIV/AIDS of mind-viruses and memes.

Very true, there's various research out there postulating that the human mind is hardwired to believe in religion from an evolutionary psychology perspective and religion as a concept utilises this brain bug to insert itself into it's host. The brains critical factor is it's immune system to such memes but that doesn't reach full cognitive capacity till adolescence hence the Jesuit mantra of "give me the boy and I shall give you the man" in other words- if you insert the meme into a child they won't have the critical reasoning factor to deal with it and it's in the system for life.

Consider- Since the inception of the christian based belief systems 2,000 years ago the greatest minds of their generation have been polishing and refining such memes to the level they are now, any flaws or weaknesses have been eradicated in a Darwinian process of ruthless efficiency to give their proponents power over the population so is it any wonder that Christians or any other religion are so difficult to reason with?

In the UK last year a Jehovah's witness couple tried to stop their child receiving a blood plasma transfusion to save it's life which case the high court overturned the parents wishes and the child was treated and survived. Now if you have parents who are prepared to let their own child die because of their religious beliefs then a bit of debate on a forum falls far short of the necessary level of persuasion required! Yet.... basic logical deduction can dismantle the belief in minutes.

1/ Why are the parents opposed to this treatment- Because their religion forbids the ingestion of blood and plasma is a component of blood.

2/ Why does the religion forbid the ingestion of blood- Because the religion originated in a desert/hot environment where meat will quickly spoil if the blood is not drained during the slaughter and not doing so is more likely to result in starvation or food poisoning.

Hence an ancient food hygiene consideration continues through the generations evolving into the toxic form it has now, what a travesty.

Going back to my earlier post on "emotion" being the only way to deal with such beliefs. A friend of mine from infant school fell through a patio door suffering severe injuries and nearly died, his parents were Jehovahs witnesses too but the emotional shock of what happened and the thought of their child actually dying soon put paid to any religious objections to such nonsense as not allowing a blood transfusion. The amygdala kicked the memes ass!

Beliefs are stored in the same area of the mind as emotions, the amygdala. Your best way to change a belief is to piggyback it onto an emotional response in the person you're trying to persuade. The anterior cingulate cortex deals with any paradoxes between reality and belief and will rationalise them, as uncertainty from an evolutionary perspective is hazardous to a persons gene line. The amygdalan emotional response will override it's mischief if it deems it necessary though. Strangely enough all new beliefs a person encounters are automatically believed for 100-150 milliseconds then the mind decides whether to unbelieve it or not. Interfering with this unbelieving process by cognitive buffer overload or refocussing of attention can is the best way to deal with non rational types.

How do you cope when your best friend dumps you?

Your friend has self esteem issues I would think. If your daughter came to you all upset and told you the exact same story what would your advice to her be? Whatever it is follow it yourself as the disassociation makes it impartial and objective.

You joined POF in 2008 - it's taken you 5 years to pluck up the confidence to send messages?

I hope if in another 5 years when a date finally materialises that the lady isn't expecting to be swept off her heels...

Do men actually like the chase?
Posted: 2/11/2013 3:04:49 PM
It's a question of relative "value" a man will desire a woman who he considers out of his league more than one which he considers to be on par with it, it's hardwired into our brains to "improve" our genetic stock and upgrade our children's by getting a partner whose DNA will upgrade our offspring and make them more likely to survive in the ancient world of the African savannah we evolved to live in. Men are attracted to good looks more so than women because we're looking for a healthy immune system which demonstrates itself by good symmetry and absence of flaws. Women are attracted to alpha male traits because this type of man was a good protector/provider in days of yore. If a man has no interest in a woman she assumes it's because he either is or considers himself higher value than her which triggers attraction- this is why needy or "nice guys" reduce attraction as in the sexual kind. If you're a woman then challenging the man and assuming a higher value persona can overide your looks to some extent as it attracts the man and there's nothing he can do about it. If you're a man then be indifferent to chasing her and she will chase you.

Sorry to embarrass you on a public forum but I'm a socialist! [titter] *cringe*....

Might I suggest in order to avoid future shame to refrain from using the Guardian or the Daily Mail as your source of information on the world. Actually reading the Quran and it's tenets might be a start.
