Bill Belichick - Coach of the Year, Again!
Posted: 2/4/2008 11:38:40 PM

Well, if you ask me, the Giants seemed to know exactly what the Pats were going to do on every single play...it was like as if they knew their entire playbook or something.

Its cause Moss was taking bong hits in the huddle and accidently blew smoke signals in the shape of Belichick's plays.

After the game he defended his actions by saying, why should Brady be the only one taking hits tonight.

Silly Randy got his hits mixed up

How good is Tom Brady?

I think someone finally figured out some of the Pats schemes and used it to their advantage.

The only way to beat the Pats is to get into Bradys Grill. He's like every other QB thats ever played. Get in his face and force him to be less effective. The Giants beat the schemes and did it.

Thats why they won.

I think if the Pats still had Adam Vinatieri they would have won. He could have kicked a 75 yard field goal and bailed their asses out like he did in the other Super Bowls.

Give they Giants credit, they did something not many other teams were able to do. They got in Brady's face and did'nt give him all day to to stand around and look for recievers on every pass play.

I don't think theres any town with enough smoke for Randy & Ricky both!

Rumor has it that Moss & Williams wemt to Amsterdam together. After they left, the locals had to go to Germany to 420 cause A'Dam was dry.

Not taking anything away from Belichick at all

I don't know, I just find it interesting that Walsh did'nt win in 84 with a 15-1 team nor Seifert with 14-2 and 13-3 teams

Maybe back then, the voters thought having success with a team of pro-bowlers was no big deal.

Before everyone wets their pants over Belichick. The Pats were among many people preseason favorites to not only obviously have a great year, but win the Superbowl as well. They loaded up with additional good players because other teams were catching up with them and and they knew it. There was NO way they wanted to take a chance with sitting sit out the SB for the third year in a row. Belichick is'nt a better coach than he was last year or the year before. He just has better players. Who's kidding who.

I think that alot of consideration should have went to McCarthy from G.B. NOBODY expected them to go 13-3 much less get a 1st Round Playoff Bye with a 38 year old Quarterback.

Del Rio deserves some props as well. He's on his way to building the next great team IMO down in Jax

Other than their Defense, which is decent and the fact that Holmgren is a savy coach with lots of playoff experience, the Seahawks on paper don't match up with some of the other teams. But it does'nt matter. Its win or go home, and i've seen the mightiest of teams get beat by lesser ones and fall out. Thats whats great about the NFL There's no 4 game series or 7 games series. It's win and keep moving or go have some Kamikaze's in Maui.

The pressure is on in every game and one play or one call by the officials can change everything and be the difference between winning and losing. Theres no next Sunday, or game 2 or 4 or 7 if you lose.

So paper football does'nt matter. It's what a team brings come gametime

With all due respect to the Zig-Zag Man, it took him 16 games to get 23. Rice had 22 in a strike shortened 12 game season, so Moss's Record does'nt mean a helluva alot.

Brady's record on the other hand is totally legit though and a great accomplishment

I think that their lack of a running game is only going to be a problem if any of the playoff games are in bad weather.

Thats why to me, the team in the AFC that I would'nt want to face right now is Jacksonville. They play good defense and with Taylor and Jones-Drew, they can run the ball very effectively.

Whats up with Fred Taylor anyway! The guy seems like he's been playing forever and he still rushed for 1200 yards this year....LOL

The Pats were beatable tonight, just like they were against Indy and Baltimore and Philly and Dallas. But none of them could close the game. Just like other great teams in the past, you can't play great for 3 quarters and try to slide by for the last one and expect to beat them.

Russell has a chance. He's certainly has the ability.

It's all going to depend on the team they build around him. They need to upgrade the offensive line and they need to pump up the WR's cause Porter & Curry don't scare anyone.

Having Fargas helps a little. That guy is not a fluke, he can play

Unfortunately, the Raiders need alot.

Montana will always be the best.

As I said many times before, when Brady can come back from an injury so severe that every doctor and surgeon advised him to quit, and continue to win games and championships and MVP's then and only then can Brady be put join that catagory

Montana epitomized grit and desire and toughness.

Brady is great but thats the legend of Joe Cool that Brady will never, ever, ever, ever touch

Theres nothing wrong with Moss wanting to break records and theres nothing wrong with Moss stating it publicly. Theres never anything wrong with the pusuit of excellance.

Nobody should damn him for that.

The problem with Moss and he's not the only one who does it, is that Moss will be a great team mate and a great player to have on your team as long as you win and he's a big part of it. But when things are'nt falling his way or the teams way, he tanks it. Pure and simple.

He's had chances to step up when things were'nt great for him or his teams and say "I'm going to be a leader and lead by example" "I'm going to help my team get through anyway that I can"

He seems to be incapable of doing that and love him or hate him, it's just the truth.

And a Zebra never, ever changes their stripes

Its easy to be great when things fall in place for you, its not so easy when they don't. Its what seperates the great from the good.

I never predicted anything about this year.

All I've said before and now is that it will happen before his time in N.E is done.

He'll wear out his welcome in N.E just like he did in Minn and Oakland. It might happen next year, maybe in two years. He'll get busted for something, call out a teammate, tank some games, who knows

All I've said is enjoy it while you can cause I'll be proved right.

Like I keep saying, it's just Moss being Moss. It's who he is and what he's about.

I think the property values are receding to what they normally should be. Everything that goes up, must come down.

As far as predicting, a person may as well get out their Magic 8 Ball or Ouija Board. They'll have better luck. Theres so many factors involved. Energy Prices, Inflation, Wars, Taxes, etc.....

The California RE market
Posted: 12/27/2007 11:02:03 AM
Nobody knows when its going to rebound. And anyone who says they do is full of it.

This current decline is not like previous declines such as job losses, etc...

This decline was caused due to the fact that the real estate market for the past several years in parts of California was built with smoke and mirrors. Faulty and fraudalent loans made to people who had no business getting them. Inflated appraisals, no down payment loans, no documentation loans, it goes on and on and on

And now that the mirror has broke and its making it harder for even those worthy to make a deal. Especially those needing the Jumbo Loans, which are needed in many parts of California.

When a house's equity go's up $75,000 -$100,000 or more in a year, as it did in some markets, something is seriously, seriously wrong.

The market will rebound eventually, but it will never be like what it was before because the banks and their investors are going to lose billions of dollars when all is said and done and theres a good chance they won't want to make the same mistakes twice.

Just stating the way it is with Randy.

Randys a great player to have when he's getting his. Not so great when he's not. And before he's done in N.E you'll find that out.

Thats all i'm saying here and its an undisputable fact.

The Pats should change Randy's Jersey Number to 420.

I was wondering what could possibly keep an Oakland Raider thread going in 2007....then I read all the latest comments and they're all about the Patriots...figures

Moss is'nt a Patriot....LOL He was never a Patriot any more than he was Raider or a Viking.

Moss plays for Moss. Always has....always will. It does'nt matter what uniform he's wearing.

The only difference between Moss and T.O is that Randy can't find time between bong hits to become the self promoting publicity machine that T.O is.

God bless him for that!

Yeah, Moss has a QB to play with this year and he's getting his , but if Tom ever goes down, watch what the Zig Zag Man does then.

Thats what Randy is all about. It's not difficult to understand really. For some, when the going gets tough, they say "bring it on"

While for others, when the going gets tough, they say "Don't bogart that joint. Pass it over to me"

Nobody is doubting Moss's Football Playing ability. The guy can play no doubt. But it does'nt change his make-up as a person.

He WILL tank it in N.E before his time is done there. It's a guarentee. It's just the way Moss is. It's his makeup, and it's ok to say and admit, regardless of whether he has great playing skills or not.

You can spray a turd with perfume and it may smell good for awhile, but it's still a turd.

Yeah, Moss is doing pretty good now. But you know it won't last. It's his M.O. Once a punk always a punk. He can't help it

Randy is great as long as he's getting his, and he is now. But when he does'nt and the Pats lose a few somewhere down the line, which they eventually will, Randy will be calling out Brady and Belichick as fast as you can say "Got Zig-Zags" And he'll tank it before he leaves the Pats. Just like he did in Minnesota and Oakland.

It's the Moss Mantra. Just the way it is. You find out just how great someone really is when things are'nt going their way. The great ones are leaders regardless of how good or bad things are. Moss and guys like T.O will never be mistaken for that regardless of how many rings they have or how many touchdowns they get or how many records they break.

Moss can score 100 td's in a year and he'll never be as great as a guy like Fred Biletnikoff or Paul Warfield or Charlie Joiner.

For those who think Moss has turned over a new leaf, I got news for you. The only new leaf that Moss will ever turn over are the ones he sticks in his bong.

Puck,

I could'nt agree with you more. I've already heard some of the talking heads on ESPN and elsewhere trying to cover Clemen's Ass on this.

Bonds is'nt the only one who's used steroids, but he's the biggest dog in the kennel. And more unfortunately for him, the most polarizing one and outspoken one.

If it were strictly a race issue, then someone like Sheffield or Matthews Jr. would really be getting slammed. They are'nt.

So i'm thinking, it's gotta be for other reasons

Anyone who believes Bonds did'nt juice is living on Fantasy Island.

Is Bonds being singled out and being made the scapegoat? Hell yes he is. But it does'nt have anything to do with his race or even that he lied.

It has to do with the fact that Bonds has been thumbing his nose at everyone for years. The Media, MLB, etc....and got away with it. Well he's tried to do it with the Feds and he's found out its not so easy.

Bonds has assumed Jack Nicholson's character of Col. Jessup in "A Few Good Men"

He's told everyone "I play the game like I play the game. You want to investigate me? Then roll the dice and take your chances"

You can't continue to do that to entities that are bigger and stronger than you and expect to survive. It's the law of the jungle

Wrong

The 1984 49ers were the best team ever. Followed closely by the 1989 49ers.

In 1984 the 49ers beat their playoff and SB Opponents by a combined score of 82-26 and in 1989 by a combined score of 126-26

100 points in three games.....LOL

A level of sheer, unadulterated , utter dominance when it counts that the Pats have never matched yet and won't match this year

Obviously Martz was in class and was'nt around to watch those teams.....LOL

They are the best players in the world. Theres no doubt about it.

It might not be Kum-Ba-YA or geo-politically correct to say it, but it's the truth.

As far as the Japanese players being allowed to play here. The best do play in MLB. And theres more coming every year. If they are good enough, they'll be in the Majors.

Simple as that.

Talent knows no boundaries and there are scouts looking for the best talent worldwide. Its not their fault because Sweden or Norway are not hotbeds for baseball players and Mexico and The Dominican are.

I agree with Eman. If a team from Germany or Spain or from wherever want to call themselves the Universe Champions of Soccer, I doubt anyone in America would bat an eye.

It's 2007, time to get over any inferiority/superiority complexes.

The Rolling Stones used to and still do use the term "The Greatest Rock And Roll Band In The World"

Think anyone cares that maybe there were no rock bands from Haiti or Belgium?

When the term "World Series" was coined, the world was alot different. Alot more isolated. Back then people in Europe did'nt know what Americans were doing or not doing and vice-versa

Each country was its own world. Hence the term was coined. Its a tradition now, and its not going to change nor should it change because a person from wherever gets butt-hurt about it.

An MVP is an MVP. You can't have it both ways and says one carries weight because Brady won it and one does'nt because someone else won it. They're both performance based.

As far as Brady winning the Super Bowl on his own. Did he make any tackles? Did he catch his own passes? Did he kick any field goals? Did he intercept any passes? Recover any fumbles? Did he sack the quarteback? Did he reverse any plays and penalties?

LOL You have got to be kidding

It's one thing to sing someones praises but understand that NOBODY regardless of how good he is wins a team game on his own. Especially in football.

Logically, give me a 20 point underdog in the NFL and i'm taking the dog. But the Pats are like the 49ers of the 80's. They can score on any team at anytime they choose and they can score big. I might lay a couple clams on the dog, but with the way the Pats are playing I don't think i'd lay too much.
