Hugs or kisses, which is more important to you?
Posted: 12/2/2008 11:28:57 PM
Hugs for me are the best way to physically show compassion & empathy without crossing to many personal boundaries.

Kisses (other than the 'peck' on the cheek) are an amazingly powerful way of showing an intimate love for another.

Which do I prefer?!?.....Depends, but I am ALWAYS happy to give a hug or recieve one for that matter...

Old Souls......only
Posted: 7/28/2007 1:32:38 PM
I look to the heavens above
Wonder what he makes of our follies
This lie we live
The hate we learn to embrace
Leaving love out in the cold
No remorse for those less fortunate
I hope he truly is forgiving
We need all he can spare
Forgetting the difference wrong and right
It's all the same anyways...isn't it...
Will we ever learn
Lessons not learned from our past
When judgement is at hand
Where will we be
Will we be spared or maybe burned
Is it to late....
When will we learn the strength of Love's value
Bring Love in from the cold
Use it often
The more you use it...the more you will have

Children of the Street

They come from parts unknown
Left alone in the darkness and the rain
From their hearts their soul is stolen
For them life holds no champagne dreams
No family
Nothing to gain
Nothing to lose
Nowhere to turn except the escape of a needle or bottle
Sooner or later the sands of time will run down
They become society's sacrifice
Playing with their lives like the toss of the dice
Is tthis a price we should be willing to pay...
They are the children of the street
LISTEN to the stories they tell...

Yup...definitely been on here for waaay too long, but dammit!...I've met some pretty cool people here, the forums can be fairly amusing at times, the events are lots of fun and a great 'excuse' to get out and about plus it is helping me with my shyness (I actually TALK to people once in a while now!)

Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost??
Posted: 7/20/2007 8:54:17 PM
I have only had one experience with a ghost...when I was younger I was camping up in the mountains and thought I heard something outside my tent...when I looked to see what it was I saw a wolf standing on a large boulder and it looked like it was howling...only reason I knew it was a ghost was because I could see through it...It was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had!

Deal Breakers......
Posted: 7/20/2007 8:21:30 PM
deal breakers?!?...
the easy ones are the habitual ones: drug use, excessive drinking, smoking (the occasional one is semi-sorta okay)...
the behavioural ones would be: control issues, jealousy and intolerance(you know...racism and the like...)

Truth about jobs in Canada....
Posted: 6/25/2007 8:28:13 PM
manufacturing pays well?!?...since when? The few jobs I've had in this field the pay wasn't much better than what you can get at some of the unionized 'fast food' shops now and as for companies heading south...well yes of course, business is business, our dollar is strengthening so it gets too expensive to export. Easiest solution is to reduce wages. How do you do that? Move your company to a country with cheaper labor! Also, its not just eastern Canada, BC companies are moving out as well...

highway driving nightmares
Posted: 6/21/2007 5:43:11 PM
Aww....Sam...if you can or have driven they Sea to Sky...The Coquihalla would be a breeze! It's actually a pretty boring run. I've gone back to driving the Hope-Princeton, more twists and turns not so many hills (hills kill any kind of fuel economy on my car). As for more nightmarish driving...the Salmo-Creston in the winter can be quite a handful!!

Do men care about a women's career?
Posted: 5/26/2007 9:03:40 PM
Do I care about her career?...yes and no...If it makes her unhappy/ miserable then yes, but only because it can affect a relationship with her. Of course I would encourage her to explore other option as far as work/ career are concerned and offer any support or help she may require...If she is happy/ satisfied with work then no, I don't concern myself with what she does for a living. What she does for a living will never be a determining factor in whether or not I will date her.

Olympic Protest (APC)
Posted: 5/18/2007 6:14:00 PM
There is no way this type of behaviour will sway people to their 'side'. They **** and whine about VANOC taking money away that could be used for affordable housing? What about all the money they are costing joe taxpayer in police man-hours & overtime for security/ investigations for their misguided protests and entirely inappropriate tactics......I could go on with this, but the APC is not worth wasting my time on...kudos to bluecollarguy101 for doing it the proper way!

Are you the jealous type?
Posted: 5/14/2007 5:42:28 PM
Jealous?!?...what's that?...the answer would be a definite NO...I have actually gotten had ex's dump on me for not displaying any signs of jealousy. Funny, I always thought trust was an IMPORTANT trait to have in a S.O. Maybe next time I should just feign it...but probably not...I am what I am

Besides...jealousy in relationships always seems to something of a poison.(or least that has been my experience!)

How do you feel about Child Support
Posted: 5/4/2007 5:29:24 PM
I have absolutely NO problem with paying child support, I helped create him I need to help support him, but it creates a bit of a catch 22 as the more I end up paying, the more difficult it is to actually do the travelling/ hotels required to actually SEE my son.
