Cambridge/K-W/Guelph Coffee & POF Dance, Friday Dec 4th, 2009
Posted: 11/26/2009 2:35:32 PM
@hotdogbun ... Our group met in Guelph last week....the one in Cambridge was not our event. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, I can guarantee you that there are all age groups at the dance and you will be welcomed. It is a friendly group. And also, POF does not allow us to charge a fee for these events so we have to do the best we can at venues that are free.

If it is your first time out.....no worries, don't be nervous....this is the most friendly group of fish you will ever meet....just come up and say hi and we will introduce you to the rest of the group.

Posted: 10/5/2009 1:37:13 PM
Don't let the poker scare you off....although you are welcome to play....it is NOT part of this pof event and will NOT interfere with dinner....service will NOT be delayed as a result as extra staff is being put on to accomodate us.

The owner has stated that anyone attending poker will be required to order dinner between 6:00 - 6:30. Any orders thereafter will have to wait until we have ordered and have been served.

Priority service will be given to pof members after that.

Just an update about dinner...

Dinner will be at Ample Annies at 7:00.

The back of the pub is being reserved for POF...... they are taking out one of the pool tables and putting in tables just for us. Plenty of room to be able to sit and eat.

The food is really good and reasonably priced.
Also - there is a new menu, including 10 new wraps.

So when you come in the doors, turn right toward the stage.... at the stage turn left....that's where we will be.

Sounds like its going to be a good turnout..... so hope to see you for supper and some karaoke after.

Camb/K-W/Guelph Coffee Night July 17th, 2009. Drive-In
Posted: 7/15/2009 12:19:41 PM
The whole festival is going to be in the field across from The Boathouse. Where they put the ice rink in the winter time and where the hot air balloons lift off from. The band will be outside there. So we'll meet up by that stage. Shall I say go to the right side of the stage? Then it will be easier to see everyone? The event manager recommends that we park in the Manulife lot at Water and Charles and walk back. It's free evenings and weekends. You'll turn right out of the parking lot and walk to the lights at and turn left onto Joseph. The park is up there a bit on your right. You'll come into the park by the clock tower and that's right where the festival is going on.

One Bald Tire starts at 6:00 so whatever time you can get there after that. I have a call into the Event Manager to find out where the band is playing. Not sure if it's going to be in the Boathouse or outside somewhere. Might even be in the Pavillion I guess. Has anyone been to Ribfest in the past and remember where the bands played? I'll post back again and let you know where we'll be meeting. It's a big park!

When you 2 get famous we can all say "I knew them when..."

Guy and I are working on Campfest 2 already. The date will be Aug. 7th-9th but the location is yet to be determined!

Np CountryBoy...maybe we will head down Madoc way later this summer!

Dakota...you had enough sleep Saturday morning for all of us!!

The dining tent wasn't near as handy as your duct tape!

At least we always knew where Guy was when he was sleeping!

Not only did Outdoorlover's tarp keep us (mostly) dry but the leak was in just the right place to let me know my new tent leaks! Thanks Hun!!

Now that I have posted some of the pics (getting error messages now so more will be there tomorrow) Jen tells me that Amy spells her name Aimee! Woops.... Sorry Aimee!!

What a fabulous weekend!! I haven't laughed so hard I cried in a long time but I sure did this weekend!!

Thanks to Guy for the BBQ, the great food, the drinks, the fire wood, and all your work helping everyone setting up! Especially the dining tent, that was very handy!

Thanks to Chris for the Satellite radio, all your work helping everyone setting up, and of course for opening almost every beer I drank this weekend!

Thanks to Dakota for the garlic bread, the carrot cake we never ate, the fire wood, and all your work getting the tarps up to keep us dry!

Thanks to Smilin for the Caesar Salad and of course the Jello Shooters! Holy, you made a lot and so many different kinds!

Thanks to Outdoor Lover and NaNaJo for the food, the games and most of all that huge tarp! It wouldn't have been pretty out there Saturday morning without it! Thanks to everyone who helped put it up. That was a huge joint effort!

Thanks to Jen and Amy for the corn on the cob and the campfire singing! You both have amazing voices!

And thanks to every one of you for making my camping event a fabulous time! It was great to meet you and spend the weekend with you!!

Hey, I'm not the one who was going to use the wrong stuff last year! Good thing you caught Bad before she made them! It would have been hilarious if you had let her make them with Kool-Aid though!

I am definitely getting excited now! Gonna get all my stuff together tomorrow.

4 more sleeps peeps!!!
