why do women stop pampering themselves?
Posted: 8/5/2007 2:54:13 PM
I work 7 days a week, two jobs most days so forgive me if I slack a little. Do I care if some potential guy comes to hang out at my house and Im relaxing in sweats? No, because I like to enjoy my lounging time if we're going out, sure I'll dress nice, do my hair and make up properly. But honestly its just not worth it half the time. If it doesn't get noticed, then whats the point in trying to impress?

Would You Date A Farmer? Preconceptions?
Posted: 8/1/2007 9:16:46 PM
I grew up on a farm, and in a very small community. My closest neighbour was a mile away. I've grown up around farmers my whole life, and have dated a few farm boys. Of course I'de date a farmer, I have more in common with them anyways. They are the hardest working indivuduals I've ever seen, it shows a lot in to them as well.

Ugh, be contrary, I really don't care.

I went upstairs and got me "Propane Training Institute" Book. Clearly marked and pictured (damn I wish I has a scanner) it says "Check the inspection date stamped on the cylinder shell or collar. Make sure its within the last 10 years. "

@ chewmanfu

WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.

The date on it, is the month and year certified. Lets say 02/05, so that is the 2nd month (Feb) of the 2005 year, so at the end of Feb in 2015, the tank will expire and need to be recertified.

Yes, it is good for 10 years, not 2.

I guarantee you they are recertified tanks. The dates they have on the bottles are when they were recertified, they are good 10 years after that date.

The person who you went to get your propane refilled by obviously is a moron since its only 2 years old, it will (should) expire in 8 more years.

Trust me I work at a gas station where I have to pump propane.

I dated a pizza delivery guy. In Canmore all jobs pay $11.00 + up. Not to mention tips for them. He was well off to say the least.

Mono nucleosis:
Posted: 7/25/2007 12:05:09 PM
Yeah I looked it up online so I knew the majority of that. I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experiences and hints.
Oh and... its not strep throat, I've had strepthroat about 12 times in my life so I know what it feels like. This is about 15 x worse than any illness I've ever had. Including influenza.

Oh and thank you both by the way.

Gift Card Experiences?
Posted: 7/25/2007 12:00:24 PM
Rex, you're extremely ignorant, to think the employee ripped off the customer on purpose.
It was a simple mistake, for anyone who has worked in retail or as a cashier, we know how busy and hectic it can get for anyone, never mind a new employee that chances are was not trained properly.

The store manager had every right to assume that the customer was just trying to rip her off, but since the customer brought proof, her $50 was creditted. Do you know how many customers rip off stores like this every day? Everyone is little suspicious.

OT: I'm glad everything got straightened out OP.

Mafiechixrule:

You're looking at this in a completely different way than I am. They live together yes, it may be smarter to do so because of money, kids, etc, till they figure out who leaves and what not. Like he said, its more like "roommates".

Actually I'de say I would.
People are in all kinds of situations when you meet then. So this one is a little harder to deal with, its just an obstacle on the road, what relationships don't have hurdles?

Its really quite amazing how high your self esteem is, maybe its time you knock yourself down a few notches? Seriously though, to me, you are not good looking, to the next 35 females you may not be good looking. Who cares?

Think of it as their loss.

Would a guy winning the lottery change your mind?
Posted: 7/10/2007 3:30:32 PM
I had that happen to me IRL, it was ****ed. I was more interested in him before he told me, then afterwards. Just the realization that all the things he had, he bought after he won the lottery and hadn't actually worked in the real world, and earned what he had.

yeah, shutting up now.

Posted: 7/7/2007 8:03:44 PM
My parents always let me have my space, do my own thing, sure they lectured, but in a good way. I felt I could tell them anything, and I do. The only thing I keep private is my sex life.

My parents know everything stupid/smart I've done, and although they may not like some of it, they didn't overreact when I told them.

Psst. SmilingEyes, honestly good job. I believe the way you are raising your children will benefit them and let you keep your sanity in the long run.

Johnston Canyon Hike
Posted: 7/2/2007 1:52:33 PM
It took us 3 hours round trip to the UPPER falls, and LOWER falls, we did stop at the top, sat on the rocks for a while. But its not a SUPER easy hike. Easy yes, in some spots, and very dodgy in other spots. From the upper falls to the ink spots is a little steeper, but its all good.

Hooligans - 1.50 highballs from 10 pm till midnight - young crowd. Techno, dancing.
Canmore Hotel ("The Ho") - Beer specials I believe. Regular crowd, a lil more laid back. Pool.
The Drake - Bar/Pub. Its awesome. Dancing. Sitting. Bands. Everything.
Rose and Crown - Sports bar type dealie. Not much of anything.
The Last Call - A hole in the wall of 9th street, shitty little small town bar type deal. Its fun.
Patrinos - Sometimes rowdy, but really good food, not sure about specials.
BPs Lounge - Kinda self explanatory.
Gasthaus - awesome wings.

Uhm yeah. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

Personally I'de say Canmore Hotel, but thats just me.

Yep. I just automatically view every guy I meet in the "friend" mode, no matter if we flirt or not, just because I have so many guy friends and you never wanna overstep a boundary in the beginning. Does that make any sense?

haha, I was only kidding.

Me and Mo are a bitter fighting machine when we are both having a bad day. Its bad... one of us always ends up crying. Usually me, whaddya know! Hahaha.

Girls will never be satisfied. Their needs and wants are everchanging, try to manuveur yourself around her different personas if you feel the need, but otherwise just accept it to be the way it is, and move on.

Ali brings up a valid point, I, too would like to know if you are truly that blatantly immature about relationships and women, that you think they will flirt with you so obviously.

Chances are if they do flirt with you that obviously, they are only playing games with you. Come on now!

I was an only child, my parents treated me like a princess and I could always talk to them about absolutely anything and I still do. Being coddled did me good, now when someone tries to mistreat me, I don't stand for it. I know I deserve to be treated better.

I could go on, and on, but yeah.

Coddling is good in my case.

solution ot Iraq problem
Posted: 6/7/2007 6:33:12 PM
Oh dear God. Learn to read into sarcasm.

Sure, montreal guy has some splendid ideas, but are the governments actually going to act like that? Highly debatable there, depends who gets into office I suppose.

Sure, I may be a calous human being (God forgive me, I tend to joke about things I probably shouldn't), but I don't think saying I have cement for a brain, gets you anywheres. Sometimes extremes have to be taken, I'm not saying its the best thing to do, but it is an option.

You tend to forget that this war should have never started, and that thousands of lives were needlessly lost in the process, I don't want any more lives to be lost for no reason.

My opinion is that Iraq will revolt, and that it may indeed be in the best interest of everyone involved for the US to just stay there for good, but I highly doubt it is possible.
