a long time ago I was smitten for a fair young lady .. and even though I knew she was not a virgin and neither was I ..she declared she wanted to wait ... being so smitten I persevered and endured many a cold shower .. The third day is important because cardio burns more fat then just lifting the weights.

you can get ripped and not do any cardio. Abs are made in the kitchen, meaning your diet has a lot to do with it.

and a good weight training program can be effective for strengthening your heart and lungs.

if you want to do cardio, I suggest high intensity interval training
see: Tabata or P.A.C.E.

weight training increase muscle and therefore burn more calories, build and shapes your body, increases youth hormones, GH and Testosterone, builds bones, etc.

imo, weight training has way more benefits then cardio training, however I do them both.
and you don't have to spend hours in the gym,

But men used to do demanding physical work - farming, fishing, logging, mining - day in and day out. I'm old enough to remember how strong some farmhands got, heavy lifting from dawn till dusk.
I used to do construction work. Building homes, concrete, roofing, etc. Power-lifting actually helped me do that stuff. The stronger I was, the less effort it took to lift stuff and the more endurance I had, because it took less effort. I don't do construction anymore. However I still train and do weight-lifting. I do weight training until failure, so I can not work the same muscles each day. When I do cardio, I do high intensity interval training, so I can't do that everyday either.
Doing physical work is not the same thing as weight lifting (although similar). Some people can work hard all day long but can't lift a lot of weights in the gym, and some bodybuilders or weight-lifters can't use their muscles all day like the people who do physical work can.

many people will tell you that 3 hours a time 5days is no good for you but I will say as someone who coaches fighters thats just not true


first of all, 3 hours is way too much for good health.

After an intense 45 minute workout your stress hormone are too high.

Also, remember athletes over train, and many use roids to counter balance this. And many are beat up when they get old.

I like to fight myself, however, I'm not going to give a coach any advise.
However, real fights don't last long.
You'll never fight for 3 hours. More like minutes.
So if you can go all out, just say you can run a five minute mile, you'll probably have all you need for endurance, except that fighting requires all your muscles, not just legs.

I prefer 45 minutes workouts instead of long ones, and go hard (do sprints instead of slow cardio).
I could give you a weight training routine that would probably make you puke, even if you're in great shape.

eat slow digesting/low glycemic carbs, except for after workout, you can have some higher glycemic carbs.

rotate your carbohydrates every few days (low, mid, higher) to keep your body from adjusting.

yes, excessive cortisol and stress hormones (and that means lower testosterone and growth hormone levels)

If you're going to train hard everyday, do one body-part per day.

Your muscles need a few days to recover and rebuild.

Also, in my experience, short intense training sessions are better for you then long ones
(ex: long distance running vs. sprinting)

And of-couse you need some muscles, to qualify.
