Golddigging in the Minor Leagues
Posted: 11/25/2015 7:43:14 AM
I really don't get why the Op believes that the woman that he was highly interested in is now a gold digger.
She had "a tepid interest" at first, but did accept occasional dinner dates....so why would she accept those dates if she had NO interest in him at all?
She learns that he's financial solvent and doesn't live in his mother's basement, so she won't have to support him. THAT is what most women want in a man....

Divorced, but not really?
Posted: 11/20/2015 7:09:34 AM

I am single. I do not have a spouse, I do have one on paper but a piece of paper does not make a marriage.

I understand what you're saying...I really do. You're making the best of a bad/unpleasant situation.
But, just because I understand, it doesn't mean that I agree with you. That "piece of paper" is legally binding. Who knows what kind of emotional, financial and legal headaches that can bring when you meet "that certain someone" some time in the future.

3rd date really?

3rd date sex is not the rule, but it's a great incentive.
If the guy insists on sex on the third date and you don't....then don't!

Divorced, but not really?
Posted: 11/19/2015 7:54:03 PM

I am legally married, and my spouse is disabled.

I put single as it describes me the best way possible.

And Mr. Spock rolls over in his grave.

Hmm, I don't see the logic in that reply.

Creating scenarios in their heads for OP's marriage ending to a disabled person and how wicked he is.

Either I'm slow or the above statement is true.....I can't find anything of what he posted or in his profile that states that the "ex" is ill or disabled...unless someone can show me where...

Online dating women have the upper hand
Posted: 11/18/2015 8:50:20 PM

Does anyone think when it comes to online dating that women have the upper hand?

In your case, yes. They will decide to either accept or reject your advances.

Divorced, but not really?

As a healthcare professional this is my take on this. You promised for better or worse, now your wife is ill, and you want a free pass out.

I don't see anything from the Op that mentions the "ex" being ill.
I heard that healthcare can be expensive in the States, so the "ex" got the free pass (for 3 years).

Which in turn means, I don't get a divorce decree for three years (per the agreement).

As I read it, you will be divorced in three years....so you are still separated.
Putting yourself down as separated is deceitful...to me, anyways...but if you're okay with putting "separated", then go ahead.

Seniors & wanting to touch too soon: mauling
Posted: 10/26/2015 8:12:18 PM

So sad. But if you set up hidden cameras and you videotape the grabbing and the mauling, then the man can be sent behind bars for a good five to ten years.

That's the approach I'd take.

Everybody would be happier if everyone did this.

Really? You would be happier if you were Candid Camera on every date?

Who gave the right to the boss of POF to decide this
Posted: 10/26/2015 7:55:24 PM

Whilst I can understand any site like this has a responsibility to keep young people safe, but surely if the age you have to be t0 join is 18 would that not be an age where one can make up ones own mind to age differences etc after all you can marry at 18 and 16 with parents consent (think I have that right) I am not ageist, I have a preference thats all

POF won't let you go after 18 year olds here? Well....bullie for them.

Horrible restaurant experiences on first date

I've been to the Lone Star (in Kingston) and enjoyed it. Their salsa is great!

If not being taken to a "good" spot in that restaurant is horrible experience for you, then get ready....it's all downhill from there.

It must be hard work to keep your body ultra thin.......

I really don't know why you didn't mention to her that she doesn't look like her photos suggested.
Instead, you led her on....being a "gentleman" when you were with her, and then blocking her the moment you left.

You only give info that makes the wife look bad....if you can't give all the pertinent information, then you shouldn't post.

When she left he asked "how am I going to take care of myself, let alone a house and four cats" .... her answer was "you're going to have to find a way".

It seems that he was worried about who would take care of him, instead of worrying about his marriage.

NOBODY knows what some person would do in that particular situation....but it's always good to hope for the best.

Photos show nothing of what the person is like other that the outer shell. I know, its a simple concept and I think most can follow that. I could add the old and boring "don't judge a book by its cover" as well.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Me, if I see a book with a great cover, I would open the book and look at a few pages. If I like what I saw in those pages, then I would try to get that book.

If I see a book without a cover, I will ignore it.

The bathroom selfies? Quite informative actually. Tells you she is a degraded skank devoid of class. One of a very few instances where you don't need to do a lot of detective work to know something important about her.

ANOTHER ludicrous statement! Who comes up with this stuff?

The message that is sent, to me ( once I try to send the message) is that they only accept messages from upgraded members. It has nothing to do with age, distance, etc.

The way I see it, there was only one snob (a jerk, really).
The others who did not respond obviously did not care for your profile, so they didn't respond.

Here, no response means that they are not interested.

This girl wants a instant relationship and see her every day and how do I tell her no? Im 39 she is
Posted: 6/5/2015 8:08:19 AM

For everybody thinking this must be a troll post - God forbid a man not be interested in a younger woman. If this was a woman posting she would be taken seriously.

How am I going to believe that the guy is serious? He "fudged" about his age; he's probably "fudging" about the girl's age.
He claims that the girl wants sex all the time. Hmmm, I can believe that. I even believe that he doesn't satisfy her that way...but I got no idea why she stills wants to have sex with him.
Then there's the "feeling" thing....how many guys seriously post about that? I don't know any. They post that to get sympathy from other women with hopes that they will sleep with him.

Where I live in Vancouver a common practice that is upheld here by condo and house owners is to share their house/room with a woman in exchange for a certain "understanding".

Do you stay up late at night dreaming up stuff to post?
Craigslist is an American site....Kijiji would have made it more credible.
