I think they're hot too but most are into guys so the last thing I need is to develop a crush on someone who there is zero hope of ever getting together with.
I knew of one guy who had a lesbian girlfriend which I thought was cool. Apparently she was very supportive of him getting the operation completed.
But I don't like chics so I REALLY don't want someone who aspires to lose his equipment.
Actually, about a third of us are into women. I know I am! Most of us DO NOT have the sex-change surgery. At age 59, I have not and have no desire to. You will find that many of us are accomplished, kind, smart, decent, ordinary people ... just like most of you.
Finally, you are right about some of us being hot. I can show you several younger transsexuals as hot as any born-woman supermodel, and that's no lie. Some call us a bisexual's dream come true. The younger generation generally has no issue dating/marrying us. These kids have evolved on this issue way, way above my generation, thank God.

They turn to porn and prostitution because:
Nobody will hire them. Nobody will rent to them. Nobody will accept them. Why? Because of ignorance, prejudice and/or stupidity. Same thing people did to blacks 50+ years ago. Many of us transsexuals are professionals. I'm in the medical field.
Our doing a sex/gender change is nothing more and nothing less than seeking treatment for gender dysphoria which is a bona fide, legitimate medical condition. You get diabetes? You get treatment. You get cancer? You get treatment. You get hypothyroidism? You get treatment. We are merely getting treatment.
Other than that, we are completely normal, decent, worthwhile people just like most people. Many of us are smart, loyal and loving. People are missing out on what could be a very, very good thing for them. Peace & Joy

Go to gay-friendly bars in your city. Go out and about in nearly any major city on the weekends. We out there. Just be decent and friendly as you would with a genetic girl. It really is that easy.
Transgender or transexual???

Could/Would you Date or Stay with a Transgender?

Absolutely true, what you say.
At age 59.63, I lived exactly what you describe, and I'm a transgender woman on hormones for 5.5 years. We COULD NOT come out until very, very recently. Otherwise, people would have literally killed us. Why? Prejudice, ignorance and stupidity or any combination of the three, truth be told.
We transsexuals are as human as any of you. We are not freaks. We are not sinners. We are not wrong. Remember when in the 1950s/1960s women were second-class citizens? Remember at the same time when black people were considered barely human and were treated like crap? Prejudice, ignorance and stupidity ... again. Knowledge, as they say, is power. Time for people to get understanding about transsexuality. Here's the best resource:
We are as needing and deserving of companionship, friendship, love and intimacy as anybody. Time to evolve, folks. You've done it with women. You've done it with blacks. You've done it with lesbians and gays. Bisexuals and transsexuals? No, you all need an education. We're very tired of being treated like things by people. We are nothing more and nothing less than a naturally-occurring aspect of the marvelous variety of God's splendid creation.
Bullcrap, you say? Okay, consider this: The science which makes the digital age possible (Feynman Field-Effect Quantum Electrodynamics) existed in the days of Adam and Eve. However, nobody had discovered it yet! Result? Primitive conditions. Discover. Study. Learn. Understand. Benefit.
Pretty cool, huh? Peace & Joy

Thank you for the first well-informed and truly-decent reply I've seen on this topic. Kudos to you, and this is coming from a transsexual on hormones for 5.5 years. Peace & Joy
