Gerome & the chicken?
Posted: 7/29/2006 12:11:52 AM
It was HR Pufnstuf, and it was Jimmy not Billy....
And at the time it wasn't gay to me.....as he was my teen idol....He stole my heart in Oliver, when he played The Artful Dodger....so everything else he did, I followed. I met him a couple of years back in Hollywood, along with Billie Hayes who played Witchiepoo!!!! She did her Witchiepoo cackle for us....Had a blast...Jack Wild (Jimmy and The Artful Dodger) passed away recently at the age of 53......pretty sad for me for sure....

Who would you like to meet?
Posted: 7/27/2006 5:13:48 AM
I would like to go back and talk with some of the people on the Titanic, for lots of different reasons......sigh.

Would also like to talk to my deceased Grandfather...I have many questions for him!!

I have already met a few of the people that I have wanted to, in the present...including my favourite author Diana Gabaldon, and my childhood sweetheart, Jack Wild (Artful Dodger in Oliver) I still want to meet Tanya Tucker and Stephen King...oh yeah.....

Can you trace your family roots?
Posted: 7/18/2006 11:14:36 AM
Genealogy is my obsession, and my hobby. Once you get started, it is in an addiction and you just can't stop...I have gone back many centuries on all lines. It gives me a sense of who I am, and where I came from...to read about what they did, where they lived and to see pictures of some them is just fascinating to me.

Well Fox and Whodeletedme have to disagree with you on this one....but that is okay, we all have our differences. I tackle my genealogy whenever I can. It is a great stress relief for me. Lots of detective work writing, collecting pictures and old old documentation....(letters loved ones have written, journals that have been left. These people actually lived long before us, and they have left their legacy to someone down the road in the family that cares)
Can't describe the feeling too, when one sees a picture of a great grandmother/father/aunt/uncle and sees oneself or ones children in that face.....there are no words.

The other thing about genealogy and tracing one's roots....the medical information that we get from the death certificates and records plays in big part in our own lives.....

PS Great thread Horselady!!!!

Had a wonderful time meeting new people, and lots of old friends.

Thanks Jo for being such a great hostess. Was devastated to learn of the money loss. Makes it worse when it is done to a charity. Can't quite get my head around that one. As previously mentioned, I am sure POF'RS would be willing to donate again, or do something else to raise funds.

Great pictures! Well done photographers!!!!

Until the next time.....take care everyone, we are a great group.

Questions...many, many questions!
Posted: 7/11/2006 8:39:25 PM
MustLoveDogz....I am flattered that you included me in your list of women that you feel you have chemistry with.......I feel that too, as with many other women on here. But like you, I like men. (I know that you are breathing a sigh of relief!!)

I wasn't going to add anything to this as I felt some people just didn't want to hear about how I have found someone....the evidence was in the hate mail I received from some men. I know how Trophyboyfriend felt (bless his soul and memory). I have since hidden my profile, as I wanted to stay on here for you guys, my special friends and the functions. I don't understand why some people were so bitter, I would have thought they would have been pleased and it would have given encouragement......I was wrong.

But that is a whole different thread. I just wanted to report that it has been four and a half months now, and we are still very strong. I contacted him, because I liked what I saw, and what I read about him. We talked awhile, and then we met for a coffee, then a POF function. The rest is history. When it is right ....it is right, you just know it.

Good luck to everyone.

John B's outdoor Patio meet Saturday July 8th
Posted: 7/11/2006 5:55:57 PM
I think we should be grateful for ANY pictures that are taken. It is not always easy to go around with the camera all night, when one could sit back and relax. Sometimes there are more pictures taken at one event or another....And like Bigandtall said, sometimes people don't want certain pictures posted. We have to respect that!!

I, for one, take as many pictures as I can, and to have just one person thank me for that, goes a very long way.... Just my two cents!

Definitely to have the ability to travel back to a time where there were old fashioned morals and values. Very hard to find these days......Oh to have the love that my parents and grandparents shared.... But hey we have to make the most of the time that we are in ,and I think I may have found one of those old fashioned men. I am working on it...one never knows...

Yup, count me in...used to be really bad a couple of years ago for buying things.I am going to start selling in a few months for sure. Glad to hear all of the tips. I think too, one needs to find that special item or items that really sell. I think that is the key. Know a few people that have done exactly this, and they have floursihed...I have some ideas and thoughts on some items, so we shall see.

Posted: 6/12/2006 4:48:56 PM
Drowning...being under water. I was on the Titanic in my previous life.
Actually just have a fear of confined spaces. Hate to be closed in anywhere...elevators, tunnels, sitting in the middle in the back seat of a car, and being under the water....yikes. This woman loves wide open spaces......
