Depression and POF
Posted: 2/19/2019 5:25:39 PM
Sorry to hear you're feeling down, Shirley. I've got a little winter blues too. Three snowstorms coming in the next 5 days and we already have 3 feet on the ground!

I'm retired, so keeping busy is important. For health reasons, I go to the gym almost everyday. I've read that exercise can release endorphins and ease depression. Hang in there, things always seem to work out. Good luck to your son with his surgery.

Romantics might have the wrong idea about love
Posted: 2/18/2019 11:14:01 AM
I believe I finally found true love at age 59. I know I never felt so happy and in love before that. Life was better that I ever thought it could be. Unfortunately, mental illness on her part surfaced, and she refused to seek help. That true love is what I continue to look for, but is so elusive. I just know how wonderful it was, for awhile anyway.

Has anyone been brave enough to meet someone with no pic at all?
Posted: 2/8/2019 7:53:19 AM
No, I usually don't look at profiles without photos. This entire OLD process is based on photos, unfortunately. It's a pleasant surprise when you do a meet and greet and you recognize the person as they walk in! I've had a few women comment, upon meeting, that I look just like my photos.

Bald guys
Posted: 2/3/2019 12:11:06 PM
Nobody knows more than us baldies that many women don't care for bald guys. That's ok. Fact is, when it comes to guys with shaved heads, the reason we sport that look is because we like it. It's a choice, some don't like it, some do. Just have to do what you like and live with it. Haters gonna hate.

Bald guys
Posted: 2/2/2019 9:06:40 AM
Riverrat, I think the author got it wrong. I believe Mannes study determined bald guys were more attractive than BALDING guys, but less attractive than guys with a full head of hair.

Aw, well, it's just a matter of preference. Personally, I prefer the look and convenience of sporting a shaved head. 10/80/10 meaning 10% of women hate it, 80% don't care, and 10% love us baldies.

Where Have All The Good Women Gone?
Posted: 2/1/2019 6:05:59 AM
Yes, Ladyinred, I'm one of those that have been on here a long time without finding someone. And yes, it's my fault! I've mentioned before that I'm much took picky. I'm really tired of the dating routine, and someone broke my heart so bad, I have trust issues. BUT, the fact that I'm still looking and hoping that wonderful woman will come along, gives me a reason to keep looking. I know, another sob story! I just turned 65 so I hope she comes knocking on my door soon.

Where Have All The Good Women Gone?
Posted: 1/31/2019 12:35:02 PM
There are plenty of good women out there, the trick is finding a compatible one. Believe me, the older you are, the harder it gets. Something to do with what you want and how much baggage follows people. As far as appearance, do exactly what you like. You have great looking hair, and will have much better luck with it long. I speak from experience!

To photo or not to photo...
Posted: 1/31/2019 5:37:23 AM
I understand what you're saying but... These sights are mainly based on browsing through photos. They don't show your written profile with a photo at the end. I know alot of women see my photo and move on, but the messages I receive always mention they liked my written profile. It's just the way these sites work. Not posting a photo just makes people think you are hiding something. And yes, everything you put on here is public.

If looks do matter.
Posted: 12/9/2018 9:54:00 AM
LiR, I think there is truth to that. I'm in my 60's and I really no longer care what people think. I do what I choose for hobbies, clothes, haircut, etc. There is an old saying, "with age there is privilege" .

Thinking about the subject... If looks so matter. This on line dating site is all about looks. It's all based on a photo first, then it someone looks interesting, you read the profile. Just the way these sites work I guess.

Do you feel you have run out of fish in your area?
Posted: 12/1/2018 1:30:20 PM
Yes, I feel that way. I think it's just a natural progression after you've been on here for several years. You've seen everyone, they've seen you, so I tend to look at the new users alot.

I don't pursue very many women, but I do still look. If someone really interesting came along, and we're local, I'll contact them.

Thank you for your opinion, Curvy. I've decided to keep the facial hair, I think with my haircut, it might be too much skin. Haha!

Whiterose, true, I get a chuckle out of some of the toupees, they're just bad. They should ditch the rug and join us baldies, I highly recommend it.

Men losing interest?
Posted: 10/17/2018 5:51:00 AM
Well, I'm a little more than middle aged, but I know what you're saying. Probably like me, men have had a few bad relationships, and have trust issues. Although I definitely miss the companionship and being in love, I'm very cautious about dating. I have a great life and would not mind being alone rather than get into another bad relationship. Get I'm still looking and hoping I can find a great gal.

Does she weigh to much?
Posted: 10/8/2018 12:28:48 PM
It depends on her height. I'm 180, if she's 5-2" , that would be pretty heavy. In my profile, I state a few extra pounds is ok. Love women with curves in all the right places! I have a few extra pounds, so fair is fair.

I think most important is a woman's self esteem. Sometimes their extra weight can severely affect that.

Why is finding a date a top priority?
Posted: 10/1/2018 7:19:41 AM
First you have to find someone worth dating. Pretty hard at my age, but worth continuing to look.

I still don't look forward to the dating process. It would be great to find someone compatible, that I could be excited about dating. I remember how wonderful it is to be in love.

What do women over 50 find desirable and undesirable in a man's profile?

Tattoos or No Tattoos?
Posted: 9/17/2018 12:48:34 PM
No tattoos or piercings for me. It's ok if a woman has a discrete small tattoo that is hidden.

As a guy with a shaved head, I see other bald guys with tattoos on their head. Just don't understand that. Desperate for attention? Who knows.

Do nice guys finish last?
Posted: 9/17/2018 11:00:01 AM
Yes, I have always considered myself a nice guy. Good morals, good manners, considerate of others, hard working, etc. Always have looked for that "soulmate", which I now believe may not exist. In looking for that special one, I have been way to selective and probably missed out on some perfectly good women. So maybe alot of us nice guys are responsible for finishing last.

Foreplay
Posted: 9/15/2018 10:53:01 AM
I was in a relationship a few years ago, and love making was at least a 2 hour activity. The foreplay was absolutely the best part for both of us, culminating in intercourse. Also the cuddling afterward generated some great conversation. I really miss that intimacy.

Loose skin a deal breaker?
Posted: 9/15/2018 8:19:55 AM
At my age, you have to accept that people age and things sag. As long as you try to make the best of what you have. Confidence is the key. I was lucky to get good genes, not smoke, and seldom drink, so I have younger looking skin.

To answer one of the questions, I would rather a woman carries a few extra pounds rather that very thin and sagging.

I don't like the grizzly mountain man beards either. Maybe that fad will go away. I've been thinking of shaving my beard for awhile now. But I look like a dork even when I trim it short. Wonder if I would get more interest from the ladies?

Are we damaged or just experienced? Maybe a little of both.

Lately, I've lost all motivation for dating. I would still like to find a mate, but I'm just tired of the dating game. Now, if I could just figure out how to meet a great woman without the dating process.

No big O.
Posted: 8/28/2018 9:56:42 AM
I've been very successful stimulating her with my hand. In one relationship in particular, she could have multiple O's. Sometimes I would bring her to the brink and we would change to intercourse, or just continue with my hand, always her choice. And I could tell there was no faking. I would lay my head on her chest and I knew the moment of orgasm as her heartbeat would increase dramatically.

You are exactly correct.

Sometimes I mix together 85% witch hazel, 15% aloe, and a few drops of tea tree oil. Super soothing and a great shine. Works great if you get a little sunburn.

MAKE-UP WARS
Posted: 8/7/2018 9:00:44 AM
Ok, Luuluu, here's what I do. I use several different soaps when shaving. I shave my head everyday, mostly using Dial Coconut water bar soap. I exfoliate a couple times a week with a apricot/sugar scrub. Aftercare is a cold water rinse and then witch hazel. Sometimes I apply Nivea after shave balm.

I think alot has to do with genes. I'm going on 65 with very few wrinkles. As you can see, I'm somewhat of a sun worshipper. Although I'm in Minnesota, I try to keep a tan, to me that is the key to a good looking bald head. Luckily I like it shiny because it just turns out that way.

Chronic Illness? A deal breaker or not?
Posted: 8/6/2018 1:26:17 PM
In my age bracket, 64, very few don't have some issues. Stuff like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol etc. Not so much about what you have, more important how you manage it. If you're getting serious in a relationship, yes disclosure is good.

Several decades ago, my then wife was a cosmetologist and was really good at applying her makeup. She was very pretty with the makeup, but looked completely different without it. Let's just say she was much less attractive.

I like women with some makeup, just enough to enhance their beauty.

How to find out penis size
Posted: 8/1/2018 6:27:29 AM
Well, in reality, there is only one way to tell. Get naked and get him erect. What really counts is how you "fit" with your partner. Of course men have different sizes, so do women. I was lucky enough to have a relationship with a woman that was an absolutely perfect fit. Super satisfying for both of us. I sure do miss her!

How do you get that shiney smooth bald shaven look?
Posted: 5/22/2018 5:00:44 AM
I don't have much choice. I shave my head daily, as I don't like the stubble feeling and just apply a little witch hazel, and my head shines like chrome. Haven't found anything that tones down the shine. Just healthy skin I guess.
