DRIVING IN THE SNOW......
Posted: 1/11/2007 6:28:22 AM
Thank you all for making me smile this morning. I always find it funny listening to everyone complain about driving in the winter.I drive on bush roads and icy highways everyday and all it takes is a little common sense .I personally like driving in the winter a lot more than the summer, there is no mud to fight with in the winter and that is a lot worse than snow or ice.Anyway , thank you for the humour this am.

northern bc
Posted: 1/11/2007 6:16:14 AM
Has anyone on here thought about a get together or party for those of us in the north. We do have some distance between cities but I know I would travel some distance to meet other POFers. It doesnt seem fair that the southerners get to have all the fun.

I need sleeep <------- enough to kill a relatioship ?
Posted: 4/14/2006 12:04:39 PM
I see nothing wrong with your reason op. I work a lot of hours in the winter and drive a heavy truck on bad roads. If I say I need sleep it is not an excuse it is for safety , maybe on a different job it would be ok being half asleep but not when people could die.

I have been cheering for the canucks all of my life but I am so disappointed in them lately that I am about to find another team or just quit watching hockey altogether.

looking for some help
Posted: 4/7/2006 6:36:59 PM
I am looking for any suggestions for something fun to do in az. My folks are travelling down there for the nascar race and I am just trying to see what else might be there for them to do.They are both in their 60's but both very active . they enjoy quadding, sledding, horses, and any form of motorsports. They are not really very much into the high society thing but usually prefer down to earth entertainment. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

off roading

I can put my 2 cents in here as well. I have a 1 ton pick up with 42 inch swampers and lockers front and rear with a 12000 lb winch up front. I have never gotten stuck (yet) but it rides like hell on the pavement and gets 5 mpg so you have to decide what is more important to you.If you get a stock truck and try to use it hard in the bush you will just end up breaking things . Then you get in the cycle of making improvements and breaking different things. Better off getting a good quad and a trailer to haul it with.

Why are most of my matches outside of the Kootenays?
Posted: 4/6/2006 4:13:04 PM
If you think it is bad in the Kootenays, try living in the North Peace area. Just keep looking and eventually one will show up.

Does it FEEL like winter has begun?
Posted: 10/25/2005 7:45:07 PM
I didnt think you had winter in lotus land . We still have at least a week of good weather left , then the big bad north wind will be bringing all that nice snow for us to play in.

Definately have the woman make the first move. Nothing is a better confidence boost for a guy than to have a woman show interest first.

Born in New Westminister. Moved to Hixon. Then to Chetwynd. On to Wonowon. Then finally to a actual town, Fort St John. Off to Ft Nelson, then away to Grande Prairie. Next came Hinton, then Golden. And finally back to Fort St John. And a free cookie to anyone who knows where all those places are.

not sure where this thread should be so here it is. does anyone find themselves buying food based partly on what people will think of you. i find i dont buy any quick one person meals anymore just so i dont look like a desperate single man.not sure if that is the impression it gives so i would like some feedback.
