using debian linux here (backtrack4 build), have a handfull of eMSN's and alike to choose from.
i remember the joys of windows, a new service pack every other day, and blue screens of death on the days between .
you could download a linux distro, some of them would be the same size as MSN lol.

I too use Linux. Ubuntu to be exact. I am using Emensene for Linux. Only because i am fed up with Windows stuff ups :P

in what way are australian women different to women of other cultures?
Posted: 9/12/2009 5:27:11 PM
It doesnt matter what part of the world we all live in, what culture we all belong to.

What matters is the movement of many things that occurred during last century, that has drastic major effect on social interaction and thoughts in this century.

Its all very well and good that Womens Libs are recognised, but becuase of this, Men dont know how to handle such a change. For the old ways of courtship, often get slapped in the face. so now Men fear of rejected, where as men in the golden times, do not.

I cannot compare to the women of the rest of the world, for i only met very few of them. But i can tell you about the Australian Women. For i am Australian, born, bred and grew up in Country town somewhere in the West.

I have noticed that Women have given too much power. Too much power of controling the situation of whom they should meet, whom they should get, what they want, and so forth. It is a new thing to have and they dont knwo how to use it properly. THis is why they often get azzholes before they realised the "brotherly" liek guys they met and rejected, are the real deal they should have been with.

OF course.. Bad Guys attracts the girls, mainly because its exciting. But 9 times out of ten, these bad guys are really idiots. No hopers, useless, and treat women like sh*t.

And then there's the Materialistic point of view. Women like guys with good cars. Us guys say. A car is just a method of transport.. who cares what set of wheels i got? so long its newish and decent!! Same goes for Credit Cards, If only women (or young generations of both sexes) realises that Credit card was designed to fook yer finances for years to come that there is no way in hell you can afford anything when yer 30!

Plastic Looks means Dumb People. GEt that girls? WE CHOOSE not to look like FABIO or friggn Jean Claude Van Damne, because we not that fookn DUMB! lol On the other hand.. WE dont go for PLASTIC gals either.. my god, i met a bimbo once.. i couldnt even SLEEP with her she that boring.. lmao

Aussie women are Independent, Thru and Thru, but sometimes you find alot of co-dependent women. But the majority of the younger generation of women, are very independent. So independent, they are still single at 30, no children, and they sit and whinge about where are the nice guys. *shrugs* Being independent is a BONUS point for me.. but TOO independent .. well i leave that to your imagination.

Shallow is the key word here. Yes.. Shallow.. mm hmm...

Health. Half of the aussie women i seen in public, are incredibly obese. My god!!!. Im thin, and im trying to put on weight myself, and I DONT Want stick women but FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.. LOSE SOME WEIGHT!!!! lmao.. It's sole purpose is to make YOU.. not the guys.. YOU.. feel better.. savvy women? savvy?!?!?

ok.. enough said... i wouldnt be surprised alot of pple would hate me for this post.. but hey.. you want the cold, honest upfront truth about what Aussie Women are like? you got it.. I dont give a damn azz what other thinks of me :P

Witches

Hello all,

I myself, brought up as a catholic beleiver, which im grateful for, because they allow me to open my mind a bit more and discover things that works for me. Now Cathlocism is only part of my life, but have different doctrine/views about them.

The idea of Witches/Warlocks that boasts about spells and stuff: well Im sorry but i dont beleive that any spells work. It contrdicts the three fold karma law they devoutly beleive in. wether its for the good or the bad. Sides, spells just bounced right of my protective sheild that I have.

I beeleive in Past lives, Karma, Laws of attraction, thoughts, wisdeom, and galactic understanding of things. Like for example, I beleive in Evolution, and I beleive Jesus is a very spiritually aware man, not neccessarily the Son of God.

Witches and Warlocks should not be used freely as to desxcribe oneself into the wicca/new age beleivf. Because, wicca/new age is all about self awareness. Its all about learning where we really are on this spehre of reality. And what we need to learn, so that we can sopritually vibrate higher.

I have many many thoughts on many many subjects , and all these are relatedc to my "new age".. or perhaps "celtic" beleifs. but a more, modernized one. Perhaps I should just call myself "Liberated Catholic"..

Its nice to have pple say Merry Meet, Blessed Be and such, but really, is it really neccessary? a simple Hello,Im so glad to have known you!.

No offense but saying "merry meet/blessed be etc" states the person thinks he is higher than others in terms of knowledge and spiritually. I may be wrong. However, point is, all have their own unique level of travels. Some been around for a long time, like myself, as "old Souls" some merely began.. "new Souls" but that doesnt make me smarter/wiser/powerful then the "newbies".. It just means, im reaching to the end of my travels, and i've had fun! (btw, i got two more lifetimes , if successful, to go.. if not.. im doom to repeat until i get it right! lmao)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyways..
Have fun traveling!

you dont need to spend big bucks to learn what we already knew about.

Its all about the Laws of Attraction.. If you dont know thelaws of attraction, then you just wasted yer money on that book lmao

Metric system vs. English system
Posted: 7/10/2008 3:55:08 AM
i OP and the readers!

I am an Australian, where this country have been using the metric system and the Dollar currency from the olf Imperial since 1966.. or there abouts. I cannot remember, but it was way before my time.

Anyways, Metric system is part of our lives. We found that in everything, especially when it comes to measurements, Metric system is very accurate, as well as easier to mathematically use in any formula (can you do decimal places in fractions? :/)

The Use of Metric sys term on the Outback roads:

Kilometers is what we define the distances to and from any two points. Kph is what we define the speed. We know that if we travel 100 km's and hour, and travel for 200 kms, it will take us 2 hours, or tehre abouts, depending otn eh traffic of kangaroos on teh road! lmao

However, Weight, or mass, is a bit tricky for my mind. We still use the old imperial for cooking weight measurements, but for liquid, we use the metric system. Litres, kilolitres etc etc. Some times you find other areas of mass that uses the metric system, Grams, Kilo Grams. mm now that i remembered, i think i see BOTH Imperial and Metric in cooking instructions :/ sheesh! lol

We never use yards, unless we we see guys playing Gridiron (that is, American football) for the sake of the American Tradition. Not sure about our Football (AFL) but then again, i never watch football myself.

Metric systems is easily integrated into teh computer technology. We have storage spaces of the hard drives follow the same sort of system... Bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes and megabytes.

In all things, using the metric system, makes it easier to "visualize" or comprehend the idea of what size/length they are. Fractions, dont tell us much. I mean 3/4.. yes.. we know how much is 3/4 is.. but 3/4 of what? 100 grams? 1000 grams? lmao

Temperatures are in Celsius here..... I often get pple from USA say .. wot? 44 degrees. thats nothing!.. I say.. it is when its boiling hot here! and thats the average summer temp!.. lmao

The old imperial system still have its use, traditionally, but from our country uses of metric system, we find its the best thing to have. (not that we are trying to tell our motherland, glorious England and all, that we are rebellious about it ya know)

What am i doing wrong?

I have heard about this "the Game" I have never read the books, but if its for sale for all those countless men who is fustrated on not getting women, WRITTEN by a man. Then obviously, its all one horsehit scam to get rich fast. Just like any sex singles sites, lure th emen with false messages and flirts, and ocne they pay the memebership.. nothing.

To the OP: If i were you, I wouldnt worry too much about the dating world, in a funny way of saying, i would suggest worrying about your own happiness.

Woman wants many different things, Men wants many different things, but very rare, the one thing one woman wants, coincides the on thing a man wants and they actually meet!. But in the mean time. Be happy, build your empire of love and creativity, such as art, literature, music anything you can explore, expand and creative with. Be really happy about that, and Isure females would love to see a guy who has everything for himself and to share, than guys who thing they can get into any chicks pants (references to teh book, the game)

Life is about self journey, not about depression of not getting any..

hope that helps PART of answering your question.

heh.. I dont need a man, i most certainly dont want a man.

I just like to meet a woman that i can share, work with and at teh same time, maintain a healthy balance of living without being in each other's face.

I give you a reason why I am on this site, using the internet option as opposed to teh real world option. I am deaf. Oh i do weear hearing aids, and fooled people that I am not deaf until they see my hearing aids. But it is hard to socialise with people without that embarrassment of "mishearing".

Here, i can read what it actually being said, here i can follow the flow of the converstation, here i can participate with understanding of what the conversation is about.

Few years later, i decided to read back what I have posted, and I am pleased with half of the replies understanding and support. But i am also shocked about the stupidity of the other half

1) I AM DEAF!, how the frig, can I talk to ANYONE on teh fone? der?
2) Whats wrong with age gap? so long she is legal and happy with the one she loves, age has no meaning., Of course, personally, qan 18 year old girl hanging out with a 50 year old. either thats true love, or somethings not right there. I am 34, and thats nothing wrong with dating an 18 year old.
3) if it was s ting, they would MENTIONED somewhere int eh chat emails that she is a minor. That is how they (the police) do it
4) I didnt know about her age until I MET her!
5) And if i didnt make this warning, IT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU! and that tough shit :P lmao
6) If you are uptight about the original thread without ACTUALLY reading the contents and understanding where I am coming from, then you, no doubt, have a serious issues that needed to be dealt with. And no, i will not help you. I dont have time for uptight people :)

Ah yes, teh golden age of Mass Tv/Movies/Advertising media of "lets cut the crap, we all know sex sells right?" information flodded to our brain over the last 30 odd years. It is a shame really. for we forget to look at the eyes, rather than the curves.

I prefer independent women over dependent ones. It shows me that they have brains, they can do it, without having to rely on me too much. But sometimes, everynow and then, it is best to have them thinking "he went out of his way to do this for me.. he must really appreciates me"

Those simple random act of kindness, does have some effects, from both ways, from ale, and from females. Its part of building up the affection towards another. Of course, I dont do it all the time, but i do act whenever the time is right. Whenever i feel this huge appreciation and affection towards the female, regardless of whether she is my partner, my mother, or my sister, or just a friend of mine.

And so, yes, Independent living is a good thing, but too much of it, corrupts the mind at times. Shame indeed, sad indeed.

so I think now the internet thing is the norm, and the real life not so much

ah, and here's the thing. for generations, the art of courtship have been improving. from since day one at ancient times. Right up to the turn of the 20th century. But somewhere during that generation, something happened. and thus made us all flock top the Internet, rather than try to rebuild what we lost, and continue on from there.

Even I myself tried, and failed. Even I, admit, that i prefer the internet, for I just find it hard, like you said, to meet people out there. Perhaps, Internet dating is an easy option. Perhaps we are just too lazy to make the real effort? too lazy to take teh challenge of braving oneself to show our intentions?

Concerning Internet, dating, and the real world

Dear Female Forum Readers,

Allow me to explain a little bit about something before going onto teh main body of this thread. I have been a member of many dating sites, including this one (of course) and often see many females seeking relationships with their "dream man", which ever their ideal dream man it may be. Most females went at length to explain what it is they are looking for, and their interests and so forth. Most profiles have interesting comments by the owners. etc etc etc.

Now, I know for a fact, they they are bombarded by men "hitting" on them regardless of what it has been said in the female's profile. It seems the lack of actually reading and understanding the desires of the female has somewhat made the men's intelligence level go below the belt (pardon the pun) And thus, i understand your frustrations of flicking through the pages of all those emails and flirts and what have yous you have received overnight (how ever many of them they are). This frustrates me too, believe it or not. It is hard for to get a word in like wise, hard to be "noticed" for whom we genuine smart men are. But we never gave up. Somehow, in our hearts and mind, we will find ONE that will answer back.

It seems that placing yourselves (you, the females) onto teh Internet dating world, made it easier for men to "hit" on you. Unlike in the real world, you probably wont get as much. or so I think. The point is, Men with low IQ dont care about the real art of courtship and thus email every females they get aroused by (the photos of course, never mind whats being said in the profile!)

Of course, many of you just dont have time to seek men in the real world, due to your family life (single mothers), do to work (Career wised women) and so forth, there is always a reason why you, the females, have placed yourself into sites like these.

Few men have the same reason, but sadly, MOST men have different reasons, they just want an easy way to get "scored"

Now that I have said what was needed to be said, my question is:

Do you actually read the profiles of the sender's mail, the ones where its contents really interests you (that is to say, the email that contains more then three words). If so, do you judge by the photo? or do you actually read the sender's profile before actually making the reply.

Another question is: Do you ever consider the possibility, that maybe, just maybe, that guy that sent you a really nice and yet simple email, could be worth the hassle? What if he turns out alright? what if he doesn't? Would you take that risk to get to know them better via internet correspondence before taking to the next level, Meeting for a date.

How does the Internet affect your dating world, as compare to the Real life dating world?

Woman I met wants us to enage another woman for a threesome. She does not want me to touch the other woman, she wants to pleasure and be pleasured by her and have me pleasure her only. Any thoughts about this. Second question, she wants me to find the woman, how the hell do I do that?

I see a big Red flag there mate.

curious: effect of a woman's confidence on attractiveness to men?
Posted: 7/5/2008 2:18:46 AM
If I see a woman with confidence, that is, the confidence of "sexy but not the 'in your face'". Then I am attracted to those.

However, the Confidence of 'I can handle this sh*t', attracts me even more.

True, I like independent Woman, but too much independent can lead to uneventual moments. Ie: lacking Loyalty...

Girl vs. Woman
Posted: 7/5/2008 2:12:21 AM
Girls: You females of age 16+ to around 25. The upper limits have no defining age,

Woman: The age when they "clicked" within their own conscious mind.

For it depends on the person. It is like the rite of passage, Girls can become woman, if boys that can become a Man.

What I mean by Rite of Passage, I DO NOT MEAN by breaking virginity. I meant when their inner self realizes the heck of it all, and thus becoming more wise, and more mature. Some young females I have known, have indeed became Woman in their own rights.

This concept applies to Men as well. Rite of passage can be anything, from breaking their own fears, from achieving goals one though t its impossible. and so forth and so forth.

Girls to me, are young inexperienced females than haven't quite decided what they really want and often doomed to make mistakes, where they happily learn from it and improove themselves.. This is call experiencing life.

Where as Woman, found their solid ground, and tread it with pride, and confidence.

I can look out the window and spot out the differences of GIRLS and WOMEN of all age group from a mile away.

So conclusion? age means nothing, it is their own maturity.

well i never dated an American women. But at least they say yes when asked if they wanted to hang out for a drink.. rather than those eyes looking up n down on me with disgust...

well so i have been told. Had a friend of mine lives here in Australia. He dated very few Girls here (when he was lucky enough to date them) but when on Business trip to USA, he had no problems.

Me thinks that US Girls goes for Personalities, whilst Aussies girls goes for looks?

I could be wrong ya know.. since i never have the luxury to experience such as what my mate did.

For Musicians - Could you date a deaf person?

LOL chickin Picker.. I prefer country music over metal any day. As I am deaf, i just cannot understand how anyone determine Heavy Metal as music? its all screeches, screams, and noise :/

As for sign language? so? I don't sign language. but if i do meet a deaf girl, a pen and paper comes in handy, plus body language as well as facial expression.

Now get this, most deaf people read lips. Aint that cool? they can work out whats being said from across the room, even if they were whispering lmao (no i don't lip read very well.. i learned to use my ears with my hearing aids)
To Spartanis: I like your music a lot. And yes, there ARE fans of Vangelis still around, as well as Cusco, Tangerine Dream, Tomita, Walter/Wendy Carlos, and others.
I knew that, and thanks :)
One thing I noticed with your music - I only listened to the first 8 or 10 selections - is that, on the bass-heavy songs, the bass seems a little muddy, like listening to it through a pillow. That's probably just my own preference though, as I much prefer sharper, thumpier bass, than "boomy" bass.

Ah thank you for that!. Yes, it DOES seems muddy, but not sharper, nor crisper, as I wanted. I think its to do with my deaf level. That stuff up my er.. "perception"? of bass hearing lol. Sometimes i wanted a nice acoustic long from loud to soft bass note, but most times i like a short melodic ones. But alas! im still learning!
Oh, a question: On your website, there's a link to the Blender Project (it went to a blank page). That wouldn't happen to be referring to the 3D modeling program of the same name (Blender), would it?

Yup the very one. Been at it for a year now.. im good at modeling anything, just right now trying to wrap my already exploded brain around the idea of materials and stuff. I hang out usually in Blendernewbies.com Them great pple there. Check it out!

I am curious! Do you have it uploaded on the 'net anywhere? I would like to hear it.

Im not sure the moderators would allow me to post a link in this forums. But since you have asked, i didnt think it would be a problem. so here goes nothhing!

the link: www.spartanis.net

This is my home page, there you find a menu that says: "Music of..." click on that, and you will find a box titled "Soundclick". This will allow you to listen to any songs you wish to listen to via live streaming. Be warned tho, Im not very good at it, music wise, I just create just for the pure love of it, and with understanding of the purpose of music.

IF you want to "download" just simply go to www.soundclick.com/Spartanis and have a poke around.. there you should be able to find the list of my tracks, and click on teh down arrow next to it to 'download'

Im always happy to share experiences and creations. Isnt this world was supposed to be? Love, Peace, and all that jazz? hehe

If I meet a women from online and she likes me then I will call her up for a date or drinks, if she "has plans" and can't commit I never call back. I have to assume that they are not interested if they cannot make a commitment to a date, even if it's next week.

Yes, I was born deaf in both ears due to Rubella. It wasn't until i was 3 and half when i finally got my first set of hearing aids. Brilliant technology!.

Sorry for the late response, but i have been out of town for a while.

I am deaf myself, and I am a Musician.. of a sort. Some deaf people do wear hearing aids, like myself. And with those, we can enjoy the sounds of music. However, like those replied, we can also hear Bass very well.

Its not so much a vibration, is more of a "pump" of sounds carried through the air that can be picked up by the nerves from the eardrums. I can hear through that way wiothout my hearing aids. I can even hear the treble as well, if the speakers are loud enough.

Its amazing thing about being deaf, is that those who can, have developed passion about music. Why is that? i cannot explain onm behalf of the majority of the deaf population, but i can explain on m,y behalf.

First off, Music itself interests me because of the amazing sounds that can be heard from within. If i close my eyes, i can actually get excited if i could hear one instruments from another. This is great for me, for i am learning rto "hear" properly with my ears. I personally beleive this is crucial.

Secondly, I can actually understand the "language" of music. What I mean by language, i meant by the emotions that carried forward from within. And most music, actually helped me "visualize" scenes in my head. If that song can do that to me, then i reckon its a brilliant song that does its job.

Now as me as a musician, I must stress and carefully explain that I have never learned to play any instruments., I cant. My ears isn't properly trained for that. Sure i could work out the maths behind it, but I believe "hearing" the notes is just as crucial when it comes to creating music. So, having said that, I cannot play instruments, nor be able to read music. But with the aid of computer softwares, such as Fruity Loops, I can actually create music that comes right out of my head, into a form that I understand. And then playing it back, i can make adjustments, so that the sounds play so well together. Its hard work for my ears, but its fun anyways..

Now, I understand your passion of music, and wanting to share them with your potential partner. But there are ways to share them. You just got to figure it out with him on how to share those music. Perhaps transform those songs into a level of where he can understand. Such as, increasing the bass. Or perhaps increasing the Treble volume. Adjust the equalizer to suit his level of hearing (ask for his audiogram chart and adjust the Equalizer to match those.. Or perhaps create a visual guide. Who knows?

anyways, hopes this helps, if its not too late.

Stuck on writing music
Posted: 6/11/2008 6:39:26 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm hoping there is someone out there that could provide a few suggestion that may help me unstuck myself in this current demise of mine.

I wrote a lyric three weeks ago, and Ever since, sitting in front of this keyboard, I cannot get the naturally flow of music to go with it. I have tried so many different way but i just cannot seem to get the right "melody" for it.

Is there a trick on how to successfully transform those words into Piano tunes? where i can work around it?

Any help is muchly appreciated

Do you pursue?
Posted: 6/11/2008 6:35:52 AM
I do pursue not too much, but enough to show the keen interest signs. It is the women, who failed to read it, that makes me loose interest in them and move on.

would you date a woman with a past trauma?
Posted: 6/11/2008 6:31:31 AM
We all have our baggages, yes. So i don't care about those.. The past remains the past, unless she wants to tell me about it that may effect the relationship. All i care about is the "now"

What are good signs following sex?
Posted: 6/11/2008 6:24:36 AM
Well, If i put myself in that shoe of the man whom slept with a woman, and is keen to see her again and no one else.. then my signs are:

1) Kiss on the lips as she leaves
2) Saying "my doors are always open for you, should you want to visit again"
3) Smiling alot
4) Cooking breakfast for two
5) Hugging her in bed that morning

Thats all I could think of now. Its all part of the body language, of how keen I am to her. I cannot remember my own, but I'll try to jot them down in case this question is asked again...

2 months? and yer giving up?

my god you have a lot to learn about the world of 'Courtship' lol

You cant have a woman overnight, nor a man .. which ever the reader's preference, it takes time, to develop into these things. if yer after instant satisfaction, may I direct you to an Adult sex singles website? better not, with that attitude, you are more likely to fail there as well.

Mingle!, dontt expect, just mingle. You meet kabillions of great friends here.. and chances are, you bound to meet one of those kabillion in a bout a year's time.

Suggestions For A First Date
Posted: 12/21/2006 2:46:09 AM
mm lets see now.. lets try my recent expereince, i am not sure if it is a date or not but .. i think its worth mentioning, maybe it might give off some ideas for you.

Our first meet was she came over to my place where we sat down qand yakked all night till we realised it was 3 am in the morning and we both have to go to work the next day (lol)

a few weeks later we meet up again, again at my place, wehre she spend the night. Then we went down Fremantle (Perth, Western Australia) for a breafast and a walk, where we popped in on tteh spur of the moment to a TIMEZONE (arcade gaming) for some bit of fun.

For the third? that yet to come.

I think most would agree here, is that no matter what you do on the first date, wether you try to impress him/her, the most important thing is to esablish a small bit of trust and the initial understanding of each otther's background. We botth never expected to be in bed doing naughty stuff on out first meet, we just both wanted to "suss" each other out to see if we clicked.. and we clicked. That is enough to know that there will be a second date or more...

Its not the place, nor tthe things you do, its the conversation you'd have with the date. is what i tthink is important. being yourself, be upfront and honest, dont worry aboutt offending the other if you speak your opinion, better be i nthe open now than much later. etc etc.. your date doesnt knoiw you nor you know the date, so how would you know if you would speak of some words ttthjat may offend them? ya dont! so speak freely :P

Anyways.. hoped that helps sett ideas for you :)

JUST NEED ADVICE..........
Posted: 12/3/2006 10:54:27 PM
mmm

ttrick question.. :P

ok..

BUDGETING TIME!!!

whip out yer lined papers and yer trusty pen and then work out what ya been spending on

you probably noticed tthat litle spending such as a magazine here and there, and some "lollies" here tnad there does add up.

Work out what you need to spend on, and what you dont need to spend on. If you plan it right, then you have the feel of trying to acheive the goal. And thats imporettant when it comes tto finances.

I had this problem years ago, but i worked out that i dont really need all tthose Heavy Metal and 2000ad Comics all tthe time. Not to mentio my addiction of renting DVD's out each night.. mostly overnighters..

so budget weekley for now.. and see how ya go.

As with the guy?

well i dunno. Im suprised ya sill even talk to him after 6 years, despite the fact he still abuse you verbally or whatever he does. I guess its time for you to build that invisiable wall around you concerning him and tell him to **** orf :P but thats easier said than done. It takes courage to do something you dont normally do. But once you find a way to cut that bond with him, you be amazed how much you feel afterwards. My way of doing this is to cut all contacts with the person. If i see one in tthe streets, i justt say "hi, nice day, sorry gotta run", and eventtually they get the message and leave me alone. I think its more like when i stop visiting them as well.. lol

anyways. hope this helps with your overclocking thinking of finding your own solution

Get out of it.
The carpet snake's a python.

The most poisionous is the Tiapain. Probably the most dangerous is the common brownsnake not becasue of the venom but because it is one of the few snakes that will actually atttack you.

um

Well .. what he said ^^^^.. but i been tto Sydney three ttimes and tthis is what i have tto say:

Amazing place. Lots old buildings. Lots places to see. but.. Being a Perthite, its too crowded, ttoo expensive and.. my god.. 2 hours on a train to work and back?!?! these nutters are crazy!!!

TTry Brisbane, Or Perth. Both have are roughly the same size, Brisbane is humid while Perth have exttreme diff in weather, (winter and summer and tthats it)

As for creepy crawlies? lets see now, IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA area you'd find...

Spiders to watch out for:
Red Backs (tiny lil black spiders with red spot on the back)
Huntsmen (giant man's hand size brown spider, perfectly harmless, but can give visitors a fright :P)
And on this subject, never kill Daddy Long Legs spiders, I forgot what insect they eat, but they are helping us for killing them. I think tthey feed upon Redbacks, not sure.... If ya see one, say "g'day mate" to them :P

Ants to wattch ou for in the country:
Bull Ants. (if you see one.. run... I mean it.. lol, One dont bite you.. a million bites you at the same time.. and one bite.. is really painfull)

Snakes:
Carpet snake is the most poisonous snakes in this land. But its been a decade since i last saw one. me thinks we kill all of then with our lawnmowers :P

Mossies:
Grab that Mossie spray cans and take it with ya always.

Flies:
God have mercy on you to get used to that pmsl.

Kangarroos (females, red)
walk backwards very .. very.. very slowly.. trust me :/ i nearly got shredded by one at me dad's farm

As for transport: Whats an Aussie that doesnt have a car? I dunno about Sydney but in Perth, it is ABSOILUTELY neccessitty to have one. If you DO get one, and you DO plan to drive outside the city, make sure you get Roo Bars affixrd to the front. Them roo's make nasty dents :/ no to mention stray cows. a coupla sheeps, and .... yes well.. i wont mention that one .. too.. racist, but its true :/

a tip: NEVER EVER venture in the outback alone.. EVER!!!! if you plan to drive to the middle of nowhere.. for get it.. nearest petrol station for hundreds of k's, nearest water for hundred of k's and even if you DID found one petrol station, its friggn pricey! :/ Not to mention tthe kind of pple you'd meet there..

and lets no forget the most dangerous species of all:

Road Trains

:/

*shudders*

lol

So all in all, get that Bayer's fly/insect spray stocked up in the cupboard always. If you kept the place regularly clean, you wont have tto worry about nasty surprises for spiders lurking in teh corners.

other than that, just stick to the city, and yer do fine :P

why do only some people pay to dating sites but most take trial memberships Huh?
Posted: 11/13/2006 12:21:00 AM
ok..

I dont see he problem with this site.

First of all, lett me confirm whatothers are saying:

1) POF started out by one guy years ago in Canada over the sheer fustration(which speaks for all of us in the same shoes due to our experience) of all those rip off "pay me" dating sites that actually never get you anywhere but spams and false/fake profiles. Godd bless our Boss :P

2) As for advertisement... what ads? i dont see any ads..

3) "there's no such thing as free lunch" this site may be free for every service, but tthe poor guy has to earn something in order to live on mainly cos he DOES spend alot of time running this site. If I DO see any ads, i wouldnt complain. The guy deserve an honest income.

4) what makes you think "paod" site offers any more than this free one? Lett me ell you off my "experience" with a couple.. Paying for membership does NOT make any differences... sure you be allowed to msg someone, use the chat rooms, and "flirt/kiss" more than 3 person a day. Does any of that worth the bucks you pay for? I didnt think so. Plus, honestly here, this site offers more than any other "pay me's" sites. most obvious is the fact that this site has more mebers than any of them at all!. Why is that? comon, think aboutt it.. its not that hard. .. ok ok.. i'll tell ya..

if its free.. pple will come aflockn. Pple spread good word about it.. more pple come aflockn. so much so, you have MORE chance of success here.. than anywhere else.

Who would want to pay to meet someone they don even know? i mean.. what da..? lol I mights well go down to tthe nearest water hole and bump my way around to every pple i see.. lol

5) IT IS NOT AN AUSSIE SITE!!!!. its bl**dy obvious at that. by looking at the available service and the "options" available in search parameters, you noticed that only Canada and USA have "states and Territory" names listed as well.. .. wee be obvious that this site was intentionally for US/Canada, but over ttime it got so popular, that Australia started to use it. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if UK came abroad within the next 5 years. Hell, bring on the Chinese population while yer at it... lol

now..

do me a favour mate.. grab a hammer, build a bridge, get over it, and burn it behind you.. and be happy about this site's existence.. forget about the "pay me" site.. it will get you around the cirlce that many ttimes, making you lose your dollars/pounds/whatever in the process...

Now.. where was i? oh yeah.... *browse thru Western Australian Females profiles*...
