A dedication to my brother!
Posted: 1/25/2008 7:04:10 PM
This is for my brother Hugh. I thank God the Almighty to have been blessed with such a loving and wonderful brother, I will miss you! Truly in my spirit we we'll see each other again forever and ever, amen!

Volumes and volumes as the stories unfold
Of novels I've conquered and the wisdoms of old

With the lessons of parents and the guidance of Saints
I've journeyed life's canvas, which experience paints

I've met oh so many and for some just a glance
While others took kindly and friendship took chance

In all are of blessings from the Lord upon high
And for this I'd not questions to him as to why?

The places I've traveled and the joys shared and seen
Would be nothing to speak of if there you'd not have been

I've tread in my homeland and embraced Antrim's coast
And I'm thankful to have been there with the ones who meant most

From moment to moment you were there out of love
A proof to me daily that God is above

He's beyond what is fathomed, He's beyond what is said,
He's beyond what is said of in the books that I've read

Now beyond I have traveled to be by His side
And live in his kingdom with His arms open wide

All my tears have been tended, all my fears sent away
No longer a mystery is the my Lord as I stay

I'd praise to the heavens of His birds I would view
Now from wings of His eagles will I now praise of you

I'll hold close and will cherish all the love that we share
For forever I'll keep you with me as I'm there

No price could be given to sell of your worth
I will love you in heaven as I did while on Earth

Live not for of sorrow for such things will soon pass
But live in His promise that forever I'll last

In the voice of my family and events done with friends
In the eyes of my children where their love never ends

In the heart of my soul mate which God gave to me
I'm here for you always and forever will be

So rest in His promise as I rest with Him here
Don't worry my loved ones there's nothing to fear

Please relish the memories of my life which we bared
Of the laughter and good times that again we will share

I'm safe now, I'm reborn, I'm cleansed and unstained
Halleluiah!

God...

Tell me of something and let truth have it's way
as does our free will, each one, everyday!

Let only the wishes be the might of your choice
be that of the outcome, the words of your voice

Is it intruding, to seek and to try?
or just an illusion to trust or deny?

Can be the outcome of the cares which we send
be only left barren by our hearts which contend

To the past which is rigid and cannot be trained
or that of the present to the answers so stained

Has tomorrow an outcome of a union to quest
or is time just her keeper and lets hope do the rest...

Time taints us with meeting, then thrashes us all
It forces our risings, and repeats when we fall

There's nothing to stop it, no one it will miss
it's aim is precision, it's truth is just this

No force cares to challenge, no war can be brought
against of its essence since by you it was thought

So can we be closer with your time still in place
to seek with an earnest in a world we must face

Each day without failure the truth reaches out
within it comes longing to avoid all the doubt

But within all the choices and beside all the gripe
comes something you gave us, her tears we all wipe

Away from the trauma she hides deep within
the answers we search for and where to begin

It vessels a chamber, no windows in sight
her tempest of choices, goes both wrong or right

Wisdom, oh wisdom she bites at the bit
Her reigns be of fire as our mouths try to fit

To word what is needed to ask unto you
asks whispering spirits what we ask you'll renew

Unto shadows of knowledge that are cast out like grain
towards the fields of the living and to death's final plain

Amen

Religion? Time to move on.
Posted: 9/6/2006 6:41:30 PM
Not so sure you're right with the "proven" issue there Cinnboy? You may argue it but I'm sure if the likes was true CNN would have said alot more regarding such a discovery (and still be talking as we speak)than the likes of you or anyone else on this or any other site, no offence.
I guess the bottom line is, if there is no God, we are even you and I. But if there is...the only thing that will seperate my tears from yours, will be mine are because of joy.

Did Judas Go To Hell
Posted: 8/30/2006 10:58:37 AM
Judas died before Jesus did and on the cross Jesus asked God "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". Did God listen and do as Jesus asked? If so I'd like to consider a God of grace to have included Judas in the forgiveness of sins. If God has limits in his grace, it is individual views of others that instill them. I'd like to add that Jesus said to Judas "go do what you must do". If this is the case Jesus has broken the law and given wrongful direction to a fellow Jew. Jesus was also considered a Rabbi and to say what he did to Judas would have been seen as a teacher giving a student rights to bear false witness (a literal breaking of one of the Ten Commandments)! Jesus loved Judas and vise-versa, could you honestly think anyone who'd be in the presence of one who'd raise the dead to betray them for 30 pieces of silver? GET REAL! Judas, like the rest of the disciples expected their messiah to free them from a political stand point. Not one of them perceived that Jesus was to be executed. Judas wanted Jesus to meet with the Sanhedrin, but not to face death but to bring hope and fulfill Israels promise from God of complete deliverence. When the arrest was made Judas would have realised he was tricked and the great guilt of his hopeful acts would have vanished, hence his suicide. Every diciplie betrayed Jesus in one way or another, Peter was referred to as "Satan" and denied Chirst 3 times, the rest took off like scared rabbits. They did not realise the fullness of Jesus's work until his ressurection.
I s Judas in hell? This Christian believes absolutely not! I cannot condemn someone to everlasting damnation, especially when he did me and the world a favour. Without Judas' part, there would have been no shed of blood, no atonement, no salvation! AMEN

Jesus Fish Yeah Or Neigh
Posted: 8/2/2006 6:15:19 PM
the symbol is called an Icthus (hopefully spelt right) it represents the trinity. It may also be seen in ancient times as a relational sign of pisces, not sure if its correct but I believe the Jews or one who would come from the Jews was very important in the month of Pisces seen by the Zorastrians. Anyone out there hear of anything about that or not? Just curious thx!
Have a great one all!

Is Hell, Separation from God?
Posted: 7/29/2006 4:38:22 PM
I've read that the term "Sheoul" was the (hell) some thought about in the time of Jesus. Some references point to the place outside of the walls of the city of Jerusalem and there they burned their garbage till it was no more. Just a great fire which engulfs all that go in it. But eventually all is burned to nothing. I have a hard time believing in an everlasting "Hell" especially with an all loving God. What's the point of having two eternal dualisms (heaven and hell) what would be the purpose of keeping those in hell around for? Would God go and have peek at them from time to time to see what is going on?.... "Yep they're still burning, better go back to heaven now"! This is a horrible thought! If anything maybe "annialism" would seem just as fearful and terrifying and everlasting. But at least it removes God from being seen as the "Cosmic Marque de Sade". I believe Karl Barth (hopefuly that's who thought it up) as the one who wrote about "das Nietche" or "the nothing", not sure if I spelt it right so forgive me if I spelt it wrong. That is a totally creepy concept! Use your search engimnes and give it a good read!
Happy Hell hunting!

If Jesus returned...Jew or Christian?
Posted: 7/18/2006 4:54:59 PM
Actually if Jesus did return he would be neither Jew or Christian. Both religious titles belong to those who are followers of either religion. Hypothetically speaking, if he returned (like it or not, he would simply be God). Just a thought....

COUGARS...women who are very attractive...read on
Posted: 7/9/2006 12:34:50 PM
Older women who have sex with younger males are referred to as "cougers" because that is the same way the feline (or large cat) couger inb nature mates (The female is always mating with a younger male and not the ther way around). She becomes fertile in her later years and seeks the more veril and active younger males whilst in heat.
There's your lesson of the day!

Faith in God shaken by bad things?
Posted: 3/7/2006 4:07:45 PM
I'm sure the feelings of most are hit quite hard when someone die, especially one who dies young. But do we not cry when they die old as well, even when they lived a charmed and seemingly blessed existence? Death to some is an end, others it's a new begginnig. But I see it as the last enemy, we'll all face it (don't kid yourself, or be surprised). So let it out when someone dies,WAIL, WEEP face the last thing in life and then live on and remember to breath! But don't bother shaking your fist in the face of providence, if there is a God, Dana knows and now (hopefully she's with her "Superman").
