I like to hug...it seems some people don't!!!
Posted: 2/22/2007 4:19:50 AM
I don't remember being hugged as a kid and I don't hug my parents ...... or brother and sister although they do attempt to hug me now.....

I can't say I had to learn to hug as when I had my kids it just came natural to me to hug them every second I could ....... we are now attached at the hip most times and hug all the time without having a reason like greeting or departing ......

since then I am more free with my hugs for other people

I did hug GG when I met her at the meet :o)

Brummies from Birmingham
Posted: 2/21/2007 3:12:20 PM
I have lived in Brum all my life but I'm not a true Brummie........years ago Aston Hall was the home of the Gentry...Birmingham was a small village on the edge, I'm actually an Astonian which apparantly is gentry!!! Birmingham was originally next to Dudley thats why a lot of peeps from up north or down south think the black country accent is actually brummie..........

a piece of history comes to you from jazzgal lol ....i can tell your all enthralled :o)

what would you classify as a Good Catch ?
Posted: 10/19/2006 3:06:42 PM
a good catch - someone who isn't afraid to be who they are, can laugh at themselves and be honest. Someone who can let go of the past and move on with a happy disposition. Someone that wasn't abducted by aliens and had their sense of humour surgically removed!!

American accent a bonus!.......tall ....loaded.....err did I mention well hung

What are you attracted to
Posted: 10/19/2006 2:44:07 PM
I usually date men that are way younger than me, but thats not by choice it just happens that way. I don't usually know how old they are until we are well into the friendship. Its not something that I bother about its how the person is and how I feel when with them.

So, that Madonna woman. Ignorant tart or compassionate Angel?
Posted: 10/19/2006 2:40:08 PM
I agree with message 56 ......if a child has a family it should stay with the family. Yeah she is giving the kids a good life but would it not be better for her to have funded the family so that they can stay together.

UK adoption however has something to do with age so she is too old to adopt here.....daft law I think

The thing is I don't have a lot are you saying if she came and took my kids from a poor existance thats a good thing?.......I doubt my kids would agree

is over 40, past a happy relationship age ??
Posted: 10/19/2006 2:30:05 PM
I think it depends on the person, men have no grey area they are either old or young and that doesn't mean in years it how you act and present yourself. I'm hoping its not as I only feel in my 30's!

Advice please.
Posted: 9/19/2006 3:49:49 AM
I agree with most that has been said here. I think you should try and speak to the mum for both reasons. They have mediators that offer impartial help in cases where the adults are not communicating. Definately send him a card and pressie. But also try to let him know you are doing it as his mum may intercept the pressie and not give it to him. I'm know that sounds mean but people have been known to do it.

Hope it all works out

What do you say ?
Posted: 9/18/2006 2:06:37 AM
A lot of people specify on their profiles no pic no reply. I do chat to people without a pic as it doesn't bother me what they look like if just chatting. Yes there has to be some attraction if your thinking of meeting up. If I didn't want to chat for whatever reason I would just say thanks but no thanks. We have all been turned down at some point on here but we just move on. I'm sure she will get over it.

Signing up for meets and failing to show up
Posted: 9/17/2006 2:59:01 PM
I signed up then decided I wasn't going so I deleted myself. How do you know though that the person who signed up went but then got cold feet or didn't see someone they recognised. It can be quite daunting for some people. And, as been said the other 200 peeps turned up and had a great time so whats the bother.......

Little People And Booster Seat's!!
Posted: 9/16/2006 8:01:04 AM
so what your saying is that if you have 3 children and only room for two car seats the rule doesn't apply to the third child. Glad I only have 2 kids how do you choose which kid not to booster........or should they take it in turns? ....that just made the ruling a bit of a daft one

I think there is an element of weight with the seat belts too. An adult although short would weigh a lot more than and 11 year old.

Why men don't date strong women...
Posted: 9/15/2006 3:48:15 AM
I can understand most of the posts here. I am an independant, smart strong woman but only because I have to be. My marriage didn't work and I was left with kids and a mortgage. You do what you have to do. I would welcome a strong smart man to be with and take the pressure off.

WHY DO MEN LIE TO GET A WOMAN TO FALL IN LOVE
Posted: 9/15/2006 3:37:18 AM
some men and some women just lie, not for any particular reason they just do. But as has been said, we all have experienced this at some time and need to learn accept and move on.

supervision or not at school
Posted: 9/15/2006 2:59:14 AM
At the end of the day. A teacher should have gone with him to the hospital or at least followed in a car. What if you had been in London and couldn't get back for 2 to 3 hours. He would have been alone at the hospital for all this time. At least if they had gone they could have returned him to school to await your arrival. I would feel the same as you GG if it had been my son. And I'm sure my ex wouldv wanted to sort them out too.

Little People And Booster Seat's!!
Posted: 9/15/2006 2:10:36 AM
I agree with all thats said. I have a problem now as my youngest is 1" below the recommended hight. He is 9 years old and has said that booster seats are for babies and his sister doesn't need one. Should I force him to have a booster? My seatbelts are adjustable so they don't cross his neck.

My sister is only just above the hight.......she wasn't amused lol

13. a stylist
14. a sexologist
15. a gynecologist
16. a psychologist
17. a pest exterminator
18. a psychiatrist
19. a healer
20. a good listener
21. an organizer
22. a good father
23. very clean
24. sympathetic
25. athletic
26. warm
27. attentive
28. gallant
29. intelligent
30. funny
31. creative
32. tender
33. strong
34. understanding
35. tolerant
36. prudent
37. ambitious
38. capable
39. courageous
40. determined
41. true
42. dependable
43. passionate
44. compassionate

WITHOUT FORGETTING TO:

45. give her compliments regularly
46. love shopping
47. be honest
48. be very rich
49. not stress her out
50. not look at other girls

AND AT THE SAME TIME, YOU MUST ALSO:

51. give her lots of attention, but expect little yourself
52. give her lots of time, especially time for herself
53. give her lots of space, never worrying about where she goes

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT:

54. Never to forget:
* birthdays
* anniversaries
* arrangements she makes

HOW TO MAKE A MAN HAPPY

2. Bring food

Does this online dating stuff really work?
Posted: 9/14/2006 6:19:28 AM
I don't think its you at all and as others have said and I myself have experienced it, men ignoring you and not coming back isn't personal to anyone it seems we all have at one time had this happen to us. Women seem to be more upfront and say how they feel.........I would rather hurt someones feelings by telling them I'm not interested than just ignoring them.

Music - John miles

Inspires, motivates, lifts, moves, relaxes, awakens. Brings back memories, creates thought, turns you into a hip swinger. Can make you feel silly, sexy and excited.

An Honest Question
Posted: 9/14/2006 3:55:50 AM
I love walking on the beach but I wouldn't do it on a first date. But our beaches are always busy and they are only ever a couple of hours away no matter where you live in UK so I suppose it is a possibility.

Usually my first date would involve eating and conversation.

I think the thing about the noob's is that when you first come on here you can't help but wnat to chat and as it is a forum where no chatting is allowed the noob's feel they are being ignored. They arn't of course its just that the regular posters know not to acknowledge too much as it will be classed as chatting..........I think!
