That was great, Diane/Wayne & volunteers. In addition to reuniting w/known friends, I was impressed w/someone that may have potential. time will tell whether it was just hormones & her scent or if it was remotely mutual. Either way, it was about friggin' time, LOL! Thanx!!

Just a little pump for us middle-agers. I've invited my 5. Hope 2 make it myself.

My PSA for the week: Folks, don't shy away from the huge sign-up numbers. There is so much land, trails, amenities & waterfront plus Phillipe's mound itself ( a decent minor workout up/down/up /down again, if anyone needs it). Also, the men could just line up, take a number & dance w/the host--tho Wayne might have 2 do a little miking in addition 2 his adroit DJ skills. Just adding my $20-worth. Jim, bring bring an extra companion 4 my friend, lol.

Swingdancer, glad 2 know we're still vertical, lol---Ur line. Di, 2 early 4 me 2 add 2 menu list, w/all that's on my plate here & next few wks (pun not intended). Last year's casserole was well-consumed. Probably will be something simpler,
not taking hours 2 make or requiring refrigeration or heating. I just promise it won't be the "12th potato or macaroni salad"---I'll come up w/something palatable, tho, as an ex-chef for the Hilton & an extensive recipe library.

Don't know How they do it, don't need to know, & don't want to know...but that $100 is a legit circulated bill, ladies & gents. Not a check or gift card. We patronize these events to meet/enjoy each other, not for $. But still, what an incentive, huh? :)

So I invited a couple of friends to go, that's what I've done B4, that's how I roll. There must be some unwritten rule about posting comments pre-event here. I admit I'm not a hyper-socialite. It just happens to be the norm on a couple of other decent (though maybe not as GREAT) non-competing sites. CU some of U there.

Spinach & Strawberries! What an interesting combination! I'll bet it's good. Wrapping up the final touches to a Pasta-Veggie-Cheese concoction (while thousands in my town are reveling in the Rough Rider's St.Patty's night parade). Then, in the fridge it goes till I head out w/it in the cooler in the morning. The 2 offline fems are waiting till am to confirm...something about they not feeling well last night & today. But we'll all have a pleasant picnic!

Was thinking last night (& Maggie reminded me by her comment), that we're missing the typical staples of St.Patty's food: Huge Corned Beef Brisket & gobs of cabbage/sauerkraut. Not to mention maybe a huge green punch bowl w/dry ice (since there's no beer). Or maybe Lime Jello. On a different day, w/more energy & time, I'd bring that corned beef.
But all that is specifically stuff I don't digest well these days, so... bring on the substitutes.

Checking thru the menu so far, & my cookbooks, I'm thinking a Pasta-Multi-Bean, Veggie & cheese salad. On the healthy side, & it keeps well in moderately cool temps. There's always a lot of varieties, and they're usually all tasty.
Also, some additional sealed plastic-ware.

1 lady I know & her sedate live-in says she can bring her special stuffed green peppers or strawberry-banana cake pudding. We might collaborate on both. I know it's a little early for a menu, but variety trumps duplication; ergo, just getting our chefs' minds started. Wayne's pro-DJ'ing is a big seller when I promote this. More 80's Hits!

Lenny Lenny Lenny, my dear sweet friend, you are always a trip, a good one at that..
Don't forget to bring my cheesecake!
Well said, M'Lady...I work @ it. Fresh-frozen cheesecake is as assured as a "hammock-in-a-bag" (inside joke, folks). Whether it's this time or next. It's not the world's business, but what the heck---I have very few secrets: With 2 long-time, pre-set, dr's appts back-2-back that day until 4 pm, plus drive time,
it's not happening 4 me to make it to your grand debut @ AQUA. Though it's my choice over the local POF deal that night here, & the Lakeland (oh, oh) "reunion" Sat 9th. Not 2 mention a little unusual-4-me life-changing "drama" that'll soon play itself out here. And who's totally immune from any drama @ all? But it's all good, I'll enjoy the pix & kick myself for having to miss all the beautiful ppl having a great time. If I'm lucky, 1 of those attending might be available for a friendship later. ::grin::

Aww, Ain't that sweet? Sandy's Best is always good enough for everyone. Same for Diane's. I'd throw in Paul/Ringo's/George's "Ain't She Sweet" video in Candlestick Park here (nice vibes), but POF doesn't
support it (as I know, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
I like picnics, races, comedy clubs, zoo-meets because there's no pressure, even though I can handle the more challenging lounge meets. :) The sign-ups keep coming!

Think it's got a little Stevie Wonder-semi-approved braille on it too, to cover my partial blindness. Just remember that, ladies, if I ever lightly feel you respectfully, I'm just trying to find my way around. Remember that bashing the disabled is a no-no. :)

This is a cool place with a lot of ambiance & different spaces to suit most moods & agendas (if any). I was amazed that I'd worked 2 blocks down the street for 17 years & never checked it out after the new ownership transformed it. (Too tired after work, I guess, and ignorant of it. Everyone is approachable. Probably can't make it tonight cause of rain & prior commitment. But look forward to the professional photography!

Diane, here's a little ditty men still on the fence can hum to motivate them: (To the tune of Bonanza)
"I've got a flair for women everywhere, Sha-ZamZa!
I'm not afraid of any pretty maid, Sha-ZamZa!
When I kiss a pretty little miss, she gets a lot from me!"
(LOL, I must be that one-in-a-million that still has an original 45rpm of Lorne Greene doing the theme)

If I can make it I'm bringing scalloped potatoes, 2 complement Diane's potato salad. Does anyone coming have a 4G phone w/internet access & a data plan that would let him/her share a connection to my laptop? Only for as long as they're there, & only if they're comfortable w/it. That way, we could watch @ least a part of the Bucs/Chargers game. Just asking. Brighthouse doesn't have any Wi-Fi spots nearby, otherwise we'd be set.
I can also bring a flag, & the printed words to the 5 services if anyone wants to do impromptu sing-alongs. Saw Fla Orchestra recently play them all. Inspiring.

I don't ask off the bat about the by choice thing, orientations, and figure if they made it to the picnic, are healthy enough lol
Of course; that was a thinly-veiled self-promotion along w/props 4 the event on my part.
Dr.Morgus ( TigerGator), I DID suggest this 2 a hidden man-magnet friend of mine & many. Have promoted event verbally 2 other friends. Dang Bucs are blacked-out again! And my wireless rig only goes out 3 blocks or less. Not that some NFL game is better than this, but why not share both?
