Girls making the first move???
Posted: 12/6/2009 11:04:32 AM
Girls making the first move is FINE. I don't even think about it.... it's cool whoever makes the first move.

I started talking to my boyfriend, and we are BOTH so glad that I did!

Eating in restaurants alone
Posted: 12/6/2009 11:03:15 AM
I've eaten alone, been to cinema alone, gone to pubs and clubbing alone (loads of times)... it's fine, if you want to do something and no one else is around, just do it anyway!

As for the teenagers kissing etc - not weird to look I'd say, if they're there it's unavoidable.

Event at Sheffield Tunnel Bar - 8pm on 2nd of October 2009!
Posted: 10/2/2009 3:45:27 PM
Yeah I could have, but he wasn't free tonight anyway, then I forgot about this.

I would have liked to have gone though, but I suppose also I didn't think I'd want to try and find the place I'd never been to before on my own!

Oh well.

AGE DIFFERENCE?
Posted: 9/30/2009 12:41:52 PM
I don't think age difference matters. To me, age is just a number. Actually, if you get on well and have stuff in common, what does it matter what age they are? As long as 2 people are both adults. Some people your own age could be less suited to you and some people older or younger might be better suited. So yeah, age difference doesn't matter.

Event at Sheffield Tunnel Bar - 8pm on 2nd of October 2009!
Posted: 9/30/2009 12:29:24 PM
Hmmm... I don't know, I was thinking about it. I'd like to meet new people, plus it's a Sheffield meet, I've wanted there to be one of those... but 2 things...

A) I'm not single anymore (I'm glad about this, but I'm still interested in meeting people/looking for friends or whatever)
B) I don't know where SUFC is, I think it's far from town, which means it might be hard to get to

What to do?

That's if I don't have plans for Friday anyway, I think I might not do but I'm not sure.

Can a relationship affected by mental illness survive?
Posted: 9/8/2009 12:16:12 PM
I think it can, or sometimes it won't - just like any relationship. Depends on the people involved and everything. I think mental illness is more common than some people realize, even if some people only had something 'mild' and weren't diagnosed or something. It could be hard (depends on the severity, how it affects everyone involved etc)... but that's not to say it couldn't work.

Missing Human Touch
Posted: 9/8/2009 8:41:44 AM
Yeah I crave touch, hugging, kissing... just being near someone. I'm not ALWAYS lonely, I do get used to my own company, but sometimes I am lonely. I figure I just like company though, and that's how I sometimes deal with being single, at least if I can sometimes find someone to be with (sometimes I am fine on my own, though, just not always). I've had relationships in the past that made me lonely and feel single even though I wasn't (not good). I wouldn't want to be with anyone just for the sake of it, though, I want company sometimes but nice company.

Are women nearly as pre-occupied with sex as men are?
Posted: 9/3/2009 7:16:12 PM
I've got a dirty mind, I just admit it and am open about it. I get feelings of lust. I love kissing, I love orgasms. Everyone is different, some have higher drives than others. I suppose mine IS fairly high! So if someone says men are more horny than women, I think I would think "am I a guy then?" haha. It depends though, I mean I'm certainly not horny 24/7, but then again I can be dirty minded or whatever and not be horny.

Oh wait, no, I'm a really! haha

Women going to bars alone
Posted: 9/3/2009 7:07:02 PM
I sometimes go to bars alone. Sometimes I am single and looking, or at least would be open to meeting people, but even if I was that's not the reason I'm there, the reason I would go to a bar alone is just because I have no one to go out with that night. Simple. If I want to go out and enjoy myself, I will, if I'm alone or not.

Should men be discriminated against because of long hair?
Posted: 9/3/2009 7:02:40 PM
I like men with long hair (I also like men with short hair, whatever suits the guy). I certainly don't think men with long hair should be treated any differently than men with short hair, it's just discrimination.

Would you date a man who wore makeup?
Posted: 9/3/2009 6:36:37 PM
I don't wear make-up myself (other than nail varnish) but I wouldn't care if a guy did. Actually I'd like it if he at least shared my liking for nail varnish 'cause nail varnish is just cool!

Blowjob buddy
Posted: 9/3/2009 6:31:59 PM
I just want to say - yes some women enjoy giving BJs (to a guy they like)... but if I was going to do that, I'd at LEAST want to kiss the guy first (as well as talk and everything obviously!). I do care about my own pleasure too though, so I'd want a guy to care about it too, but yeah it's not totally selfless if the girl enjoys it too. Oh, and I hate the word 'slut'. I don't like it when people judge people.

The shaving craze
Posted: 9/3/2009 6:13:42 PM
If I feel like shaving (wherever), I will, and if I don't, I won't. That's the way I see it, and think people should accept that. One thing I've always wondered, is why it's seen as "OK" for men to not shave, but women "should". Another stereotype, I don't like stereotypes. I know that wasn't really the topic, I just wanted to say that!

Anyway, I don't mind body hair, it's just hair! If people want to shave though, I don't mind. Each to their own.

Single women prefer married men! (It's true)
Posted: 9/3/2009 5:42:35 PM
I don't prefer married men, you'd know you can't really be with them, unless they left their partner. Why would you be more attracted to someone in a relationship? I could be attracted to a guy who was in relationships if I just happened to, just like I could be attracted to a guy who isn't, but I don't prefer guys who are taken.

Too much rain... it's depressing.

I'm just glad for the times when it actually ISN'T raining... but whenever it starts to rain heavily, I just think about "The Day After Tomorrow" and wish Jake Gyllenahall would appear!

Learning to enjoy yourself (not in THAT sort of way!)
Posted: 5/8/2009 7:27:00 PM
I've got used to my own company... so yeah, I can enjoy stuff by myself - watching TV (or TV shows online) or films... infact I went to the cinema by myself for the first time the other day. I also once a few years ago had a meal out by myself, and went swimming by myself. I've been to pubs/club on my own too. So yeah, it's important to be able to enjoy yourself and not have to rely on anyone else. Can get lonely sometimes... but when it's not, it can be cool to just do what you want. Although it's good to have some sort of company at least sometimes.

How clever is your right foot
Posted: 4/4/2009 3:57:47 PM
Heard that before, it's so weird though!

Try this: stand in a doorway, press both hands (back of the hands) on the sides of the doorway, press hard for about 40 seconds (I think) then move away and see what happens. I dunno if I even described that right, but it's weird!

Could you live with clone of yourself?
Posted: 3/26/2009 7:54:23 PM
Not sure, maybe. In a way, if my clone wanted the same as me, it'd make sense. We'd kiss loads, we'd go out and hang out in pubs or clubs. We'd watch comedy together. I guess... I mean, I always am with myself anyway, and sometimes I like that, but I suppose sometimes I annoy myself. I'd probably give it a shot anyway!

BEER
Posted: 3/26/2009 7:42:04 PM
One of my favourites is Newcastle Brown.
Can't think of any I've tried that I really don't like, some I prefer to others though.
Like to try? Not sure currently. Wanted to try hobgoblin awhile ago, tried it awhile ago too and it's good.
I've started having ale more than I used to, but I still like some lager too. Corona is another I like, especially with slice of lime.

You're in a relationship, but you have a profile on POF just for the threads? Really?
Posted: 3/26/2009 7:39:33 PM
I joined this site when I became single last year. When I got back with him for a bit I stayed on the site, I put my profile as 'not single/not looking'. I never found anyone off here anyway so even when I was single I wasn't really looking, I really only joined to check the site out because I had become single, I found out about the site, so I just joined in a casual manner, thought why not, and then just didn't bother deleting my profile. He has since left me again... but I'm not looking still. I hardly ever come on here but might as well stay on, for the threads or whatever. People can message me to talk if they want.

Things you dislike but can't live without?
Posted: 3/4/2009 3:52:14 PM
Facebook. I dislike it because it reminds me that I'm not popular. I'm just on it for games and stuff really, so I find it fun sometimes, and that's why I "can't live without it".

The internet... sometimes. Yeah I do like it in some ways, but sometimes I spend time on when I'd rather do other things (and sometimes I do, of course!), it can be a bit of an addiction, BUT some people are way worse than me though, some people are just obsessed with screens whether it be computer and/or TV and DON'T always want to do anything else. There's a lot of life that DOESN'T involve them, y'know!

There may be other things too, it's an interesting topic.

Love/Hate, I guess. A complicated thing!

The greatest of the Grunge?
Posted: 9/2/2008 2:38:40 PM
Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana... love all those. Have an album by L7, and an album by Candlebox. Like the Temple of the Dog album. Got some Stone Temple Pilots too. Some people (me included) are sometimes unsure of what to call grunge. In fact I'm unsure of what to call most things, there are that many genres! Anyway, from what I know to be grunge, I like the genre!

When did you fall in love with music?
Posted: 8/13/2008 7:18:03 PM
Not sure really, I liked some music from a young age. Probably got more into as I started getting CDs, listening to the radio and whatever, from maybe around age 13. Ah music, I do love it (hence my name!).

From what I've heard I think ICP are pretty good. I have "The Great Milenko" album, it's brilliant! I don't have any of their other albums but I've heard a few other songs that I like a lot "Halloween on Military Street", "I Want My Shit" etc.

Music, is it really a universal language?
Posted: 8/13/2008 5:03:01 PM
Well, I say I like anything that sounds good to me. It's common sense in my opinion, but there are some people who won't give anything new a try, and will just like one genre for example and won't even listen to others to see if they like it - could never understand that, though. I know I don't like ALL music, but there is a wide range I like, from quite a wide range of genres. Rock and metal music is generally my favourite, has been for quite a few years now. However, yeah, whatever the genre is, if the song sounds good, I'll enjoy it.
