Single Mothers Adopting?
Posted: 9/28/2009 7:24:02 PM

Thanks t-pot and Cutie, i should look into intl. adoption,

No, you shouldn't. That's just freaking stupid.
There are SO MANY homeless children here in the United States that you should NOT look into international adoption. Why in the HELL would you do that? What, the "selection" of orphaned American children doesn't satisfy you? All to satisfy this "I want a third kid"

You need a third kid like I need a third car...there is no reason. Do I want one? Hell yes, I do...but as it is, I have my hands full with the two I have.

Isn't it more normal to grow in her?

Normal car ride to "the city"...just tooling along minding our own business on the interstate...when all of a sudden

I hit the window lock button and hot boxed her with probably the nastiest fart in history.

Somehow, she was ejected from the passenger door, and I never saw her again.

I miss her.

+37...both of you girls stated what I was thinking.

Good job making the poor guy paranoid, 'cuz everybody deserves a fair shake, don't they?

Let's just convict the guy and review the evidence later. Good thing that's not how our judicial system works...if it did, I wouldn't be here today! JEEZ!

He made up that story because he felt uber creepy that some broad he spent three hours having a coffee with admitted( without prompting) that she shows every single indicator of a bunny boiling stalking nut bag.

Nothing like telling a man you really don't know that you are crazy jealous and if he continues the relationship he wont be able to have any female friends or smile at waitresses in breakfast joints without you blowing a gasket.

Well played Sister, thanks for making women every where look mental.

Wow, OP, you checked-up on this guy a ridiculous amount of times, then busted his chops over being online after ONE meeting with him? SO WHAT if he was online after you met him, so were you! You were checking up on him, you were checking your mail, maybe he was as well. Maybe he was reading the forums, maybe he was doing other things around the house and occasionally seeing who viewed him, I do the SAME THING when I'm home ... I'm on here, logged-on, for hours and am hardly sitting here staring at the site the whole time.

For goodness sake, you met ONCE, you sat and talked with each other for 3 hours and when you put him on the spot about being online afterwards and questioned him about his online habits, and you're SURPRISED that he lied to you? You must've sounded absolutely crazy confronting him this.

You sound like you have WAY too much spare time on your hands to me ... my suggestion is to stop being so paranoid and investigative until you've at least discussed if you and the man you've met are even an item. Until then, it's fair game on here.

Lisa, I can't speak for other guys, but there are three things going against you.

A: pictures of your daughter. She's adorable, but IMO, a dating site is not the place to showcase one's children.
B: Song lyrics. Kinda says "I really don't have anything to say, so I'll copy/paste"
C: That song is by Nickelback :P

Other than that, there's nothing terrible :)

Sorry babe, but apparently you do not understand what it's like to be a guy.

First off...we have actual physical mechanical happenings down there that can only operate when certain criteria are met.

For me, to go at it a 2nd time, I usually need to take a nap, have a snack, pee...gimme a half hour, then we're good to go. However, on other occasions, I MAY be able to get right back into it.

It's a penis, not your dildo, so don't expect him to be ready every time you are.

If your profile isn't shocking and awesome and unique, you won't get any unsolicited emails...this is what I have learned. And I think women in your age bracket are a little more reserved than the ones in mine, so maybe you won't get any at all?

You're pretty vague about yourself. Great, you take trips! You're not a couch potato! That, and that you live in Phoenix, is all I know about you after reading your profile. You've given very little insight to your personality, and the insight we DO have makes you come off as a bit insulting and elitist.

About what kind of woman you want: Perhaps you should not say what you're looking for, and instead, see what you find and figure out what you want? Lots of women are put off by a guy that says he's looking for "fit and healthy", even if she IS fit and healthy, because it makes you look like you're superficial. Plus, you may find something you didn't know you liked. I know quite a few fit AND healthy girls that are packing a little extra baggage, too...but when a fella says "fit and healthy", the first thing that comes to mind is "skinny".

BTW...if it weren't for the illegals and 120 degree heat...I'd miss Phoenix. Beautiful place, and great 4 wheelin:D If you can put up with it, you're a lucky guy.

OK Charles, so a woman has to beat you with a cat o' 9 tails or rape your rectum (damn near killed 'em!) or cut you and suck out your blood or pee on you to have an open mind?

YOU, my good man, are the one with a closed mind. Not everybody is a weirdo, and YOU need to be accepting of THAT.

She's supposed to pee in your mouth, not ON you.

Last week I asked my ex to make me her slave and humiliate me, she asked if I was crazy and dumped me, do any of you like to be ****ed with a strapon, spanked, peed on,etc ? I think it' completely normal to like the woman being in control; the world is changing and you have to be open minded. I'd like to hear opinions from both men and women.

That being said...liking a woman to take control and having her deficate on your bound carcass and rub it in your hair while you have a rubber weiner hanging out of your butt are two totally different things.

How many people have to post "read the tips"? Seriously. If that's all you have to say, don't bother posting.

I would ditch the picture of you with the two girls. Women don't dig guys that post pictures of themselves with other women, because they're jealous by nature.

only constructive thing I can think to write right now...to me, you don't have any glaring oversights or errors aside from the one picture...except you DO describe yourself as "average looking". Don't say you're cute, don't say you're ugly, don't say any of that because the pictures allow the viewer to decide that for themselves;)

Also...miniature golf is a good first date. Not only does it show you the other person's competitive nature (or possible lack thereof), you can get a clear butt-view so you can scrutinize! AND it's CHEAP! Miniature golf and post-game loser-buys-ice cream...

OK, so you're 40. I don't know what women in your age range want for sure, but I'm assuming stability and some sort of career...or, maybe you want girls my age. Either way, your profile's not gonna cut it.

I don't even know where to start. It's all wrong...Just...start...over. Ctrl+A then the delete key. Seriously.

Try something basic

"my background"
"my hobbies"
"my future plans"

Then move from there. Trust me...girls like funny and ORIGINAL, not thrice fried emails, like another poster said.

Bambi's grown up. Bambi ain't a baby anymore. He's got a nice trophy rack, and I, for one, would be proud to hang his head on my wall.

You're very specific, and that's a turnoff, as well. You want what every girl wants. Maybe there's a short, pale and ugly guy that you'd fall in love with VERY quickly that's turned off by the tall, dark, and handsome comment.
Also, you're too demanding (in my eyes, and probably lots of guys) about wanting a serious relationship NOW.

Profile comes off as pretty negative, IMO, and what you DO like is very specific and not everybody fits that profile...even those who you'd otherwise be interested in.

open up your standards to somebody that isn't David Hasselhoff circa 1985. Not everybody can wear tight jeans around their nipples and a black leather jacket and drive a talking car.

Gas Price increase. What do you think?
Posted: 6/29/2008 9:03:18 AM
The only reason it will hit $7/gallon is because we EXPECT it to, just like $4/gallon. Had nobody made the prediction that it would hit $4/gallon by memorial day, we'd still be pissing and moaning about $2.99/gallon.

It's the media that's killing us, I think, and making us EXPECT this stuff. Self-fulfilling prophecies and all that.

We have nobody but ourselves to blame...and the same people that are crying about high gas prices and blaming President Bush for everything from Katrina to 9/11 to it raining every day I have off work so I can't ride my bicycle or motorcycle don't want to hurt the little caribou in Alaska, or drill offshore, etc etc. the environmentalists are killing our economy, and it's been happening for years...we're just now seeing the aftermath. It started with automobiles and industrial regulations. Part of the reason China is producing things so much cheaper than we are is NOT because of worker's low wages, but the fact that they don't have have any emissions standards for their factories. I'm all for protecting the environment, but everything we do is offset by what's going on in China. The fact that they are so behind the times with environmental protection makes me wonder why nobody steps up and makes them accountable for their actions...after all, their cheap manufacturing is moving jobs that would otherwise be in the USA, Canada, Europe, Mexico, et al is a big reason for our current unemployment situation.

[/soapbox] :)

Gas Price increase. What do you think?

I found Nitor's post quite funny and baseless.. When a company decides to sell energy, they are regulated. becauses its considered a public nessisity not a luxury. Yes its business, but its "energy business", not the same as someone developing and selling a new type of shoe. that just shows a lack of facts. Oil companies need regulation because the control the worlds economy, period.

In the US Consititution, we as american citizens have the right to dissolve and install a new government when the present one is working against the people. How much more do we all have to put up with before we excersise our constitutional rights?

Business is business. Oil companies in the US, for the most part, do not control the world's economy...the ones that PRODUCE said oil DO.

Exxon doesn't own the oil fields in Saudi Arabia. Nor does Valero the fields in Kuwait. These companies buy the oil from the folks that pump it, then refine it, and sell it...Much like Ford doesn't make steel, but they buy the steel, then fashion it into a (sometimes) working automobile;)

Nitor is not baseless. Nitor says right things, my friend, and one of those things is directly ABOUT the free-enterprise system. we do NOT have only ONE company selling oil here. That would be a monopoly. Nitor said that. Monopolies are frowned upon, unless you're Milton Bradley. There are still multiple companies selling oil, and the top execs of each company are not just sitting in a big room rolling in $10,000 bills and saying "HAHA, we're destroying everybody!"

The gouging, if it exists, is NOT happening on the refining/selling end in our country. That much is obvious because it is a WORLDWIDE phenomenon.

Did you know that, also, the government has the right to revoke the citizen's right to vote if we get a low enough turnout at the polling stations? Betcha didn't.

Nitor is Right! (I smell a bumper sticker)

LOL, word to that fox...I've had as many as 7 at once...all in various states of disrepair:P

Of course mechanics are out for themselves...so are grocery store clerks, attorneys, the guy working at the gas station...not a mechanic's fault you can't work on your own car, just like it's not an attorney's fault that you don't have the ability/know-how to represent yourself in court. Unless you're a moron, you don't ONLY take a job so you can help people. If helping people were a job with no pay, it would be in high demand because NOBODY (including anybody in this thread) would do it. Who wants to work for no pay?

What I love to hear is how all these oil companies are posting record profits. Everybody forgets that when they hear that ExxonMobile made $400billion in profits last year and that's TWICE AS MUCH as they made in 1998 (for example...I haven't looked up these figures)...that Exxon made $200B in profits in '98 and so did Mobil...before they merged.

Now we have two companies combined...OF COURSE they're making twice as much money. DUH!

Why don't we get pissed off at the people playing the futures game? THAT, my friends, is what's driving up the price of oil like crazy, in addition to the extra demand in Asia.

DRILL OFFSHORE! BRING OIL FROM ALASKA! KILL THE CARIBOU, THEY'RE GOOD EATIN ANYWAY!

How many of you like the fact that we have a free enterprise economic system? That if you can make it and sell it, you can put whatever pricetag you want on it? I like it, personally. But guess what - that will go away if the Feds tax the big, bad, evil, monstrous oil companies that are "only out to make money" (no kidding, it's a BUSINESS! JEEZ) more than any other industry, be it porn, radio control cars, kites, silverware...IMO it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and WRONG to be able to limit any ONE PERSON or ENTITY'S ability to MAKE MONEY.

How would doctors feel if the federal gov't said "OK, Doctors can only make $45,000 a year. Trash collectors, on the other hand, can make up to $500,000 a day if they want to and can. Lawyers can only make $400 a week, yet your average horse trainer MUST be paid at LEAST $90/hr, and have a minimum of 50 paid hours a week"

Doesn't sound fair, does it?
Didn't think so.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my gas hog SUV and it will NOT go away. Period. I will own it until it's rusted to the ground or I'm in the ground.

For $1000 I can buy a car that will pass any inspection. Not our fault you let your car go to pot to the point that it needed $1,000 in repairs to pass a simple E-check inspection. in 2002 I bought a Ford Thunderbird for $700, rolled down to the E-check station before I even had the title transferred...and it passed. Ditto my $150 Pontiac Grand Prix, my $50 Isuzu Trooper, FREE Mitsubishi Montero, etc etc and so forth.

While I will agree with the fact that E-check is stupid and pointless...it's really not, for environmental reasons. the standards for e-check are SO LOW that I can't IMAGINE it being POSSIBLE for any car that I've owned NOT to pass. If I'm ever up in cleveland with one of my crappy 20 year old beaters, I'll go through just for the hell of it to prove a point.

You must drive one enormous piece of crap! Seriously!

What we REALLY need in this state, though, is a SAFETY inspection. So many cars I see in my profession that NEED repairs in order to be safe, and the customer can't afford it.

Quite frankly, if you can't afford to own a SAFE vehicle...go buy a bus pass. It's cheaper.

What kind of car costs $8750 for maintenance every 100,000 miles? That's absolutely ridiculous.

I know Ferraris and Lamborghinis have 30,000 mile service intervals that can run as much as $15,000...but those are SPECIAL cars, and have no place in this discussion.

I'd REALLY like to know what kind of car costs EIGHT THOUSAND dollars for a 100k mile service that ISN'T a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

Yeah, right. Lifted Jeeps get crap-ass gas mileage...no matter what. I drive like an idiot, and a buddy of mine has an identical Jeep to mine...same amount of lift, same size tires. He makes my Grandma look like Dale Earnhardt, and we average about the same fuel economy.

DesertFox, my last 5.0L Thunderbird...V8, power everything, got 22 city/30 highway stock, and about 18 city/27-28 highway with the cam, exhaust, gears and other goodies. V8s are definitely underappreciated for fuel economy they can deliver. with 93-02 Camaros/Firebirds and '92+ Corvettes, 30 mpg highway is not uncommon.

What I think is that we trade int he gas hogs and drive more efficient cars if fossil fuels are the way to go. How about using mass transit so again we become efficient. As for gas prices becoing more reasonable the trend indicates anything but reasonable gas prices. I hope you have a large parking lot for the SUVs you are buying up.

I spend about $300 a month on gas, $105ish a month on insurance, and, because of gas prices, the trade-in value of my vehicle has sunk like a rock, but I have a very reasonable payment with less than a year to go to pay on it.

If I traded my pig in on a 3-or-so-year-old car (let's say a 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R..has to be something zippy) it would get about 25 mpg average, which would save me about $100 a month on gas, my monthly payment would be higher, and insurance would be $150 a month.

For some people (like me), it doesn't make financial sense to trade in their gas hogs, and right now it's probably cheaper for most people to keep them because MOST are upside-down in their financing and would be making exorbitant monthly payments.

climbsagain, the electric car has been in development for well over a century.

We now have neat technologies like Lithium Ion and Lithium Polymer batteries, brushless electric motors, and innumerable other advances that make the electric car more promising than ever.

The only reason gas will hit eight dollars a gallon is because WE let it. We didn't want to pay a little extra for quality American-made products...now we're killing ourselves with the cost of fuel. It's karma:)

The problem I have with electric cars is similar to what I tell the people that call and try to sell you a credit card - "You mean I have to pay it back???" And when people start charging their cars up, power costs will escalate.

Like I said before, electric cars do not reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. IMO Biodiesel is the future. Otherwise...go watch The Road Warrior. That's how it's gonna be.

The electric motors have only about a dozen moving parts compared to a combustion engine having 1,000's. Wouldn't that eliminate oil changes, tune ups and all that other crap? Then again it will cost several thousands every 100,000 miles or so to replace the batteries.

THOUSANDS of parts in a combustion engine? Seriously? Have you ever taken apart an engine? Probably not...the kind of person that would pay A HUNDRED GRAND for an electric car...oi.

At the current fuel cost that would be $16,000 in fuel to drive 100,000 and $8,750 in tune-ups. Totaling $24,750 to run your car 100,000 miles compared to an electric car at $6,000.

Since when do tuneups cost $8,750? WTF kind of car do YOU drive? You're talking about paying a HUNDRED GRAND for an electric car, and then you talk about what makes financial sense? Wow.
Let's compare my 2002 Jeep Liberty with your $100,000 Wunderkar.

My Jeep (lifted, bigger tires, yadda yadda) gets 14 mpg city/20-22 hwy if I baby it.
Every 5,000 miles, oil change. For normal people, that's $30.
Every 50,000 miles, it gets spark plugs, front/rear differential fluid changes, and a transfer case fluid change. Roughly $400 (high end price) for service/supplies

100,000/14=7,142 and some change. mulitply that by 4, that's $28,000. Spread out over a decade or so (what most cars take to accumulate 100,000 miles...mine take about 5) and i'ts REALLY not that unreasonable.

So, we have a $22,000 vehicle that after 100,000 miles will cost you a total of $51,400.
That was the price new. I bought used, didn't pay that much. Plus, it will do LOTS more than that overpriced slot car. Like NOT run up my power bill...and tow a 5,000 pound trailer...deal easily with Michigan/northern Ohio winters (although it doesn't have to)

The electric car is not a popular idea. It's something for people who think they're doing right by the world and have too much money to burn.

For $100,000 you could buy a 5 year old Viper and a late-model used VW TDI Jetta that gets 50 mpg, and a beat up old Toyota pickup to play in the mud and tow trailers and do...well...truck stuff. And, all three would probably cost less to insure than said electric nobody-mobile that will have zero parts support in 5 years.

Or buy a house....especially with the soft market.

Face it, an electric car does NOT make sense, and does not reduce our dependency on fossil fuels, and you will never convince the buying public that it DOES make sense. The GM EV1 (NOT called the "Impact" like all you that like to thump the "Who killed the electric car" bible think) proved that.

OOPS, forgot something! Your super high performance snazzy low profile tires are going to cost you about $400 EACH, and probably last around 25-30k miles. My Jeep can get 40,000 miles out of a set of $130 each mud tires (which kill gas mileage...a street tire would raise my fuel economy about 2 mpg-and they'd last longer)

This is a VERY extreme example of a VERY fuel-inefficient vehicle. Even if gas hits $6/gallon and you drive 12,000 miles a year in a 30 mpg car, you come out ahead.

Gas Price increase. What do you think?
Posted: 5/27/2008 5:54:45 PM

from TolRikEdo
I agree with Cleve in msg. 23. Alternative energy vehicles. We're using the worlds oil recources at an ever increasing pace.

Alternative energy has been in development for 50+ years. The first automobiles were external combustion steam engines, and some electrics. The hybrid and the diesel is where we are now. There IS a reason automobiles depend on gasoline and diesel - it's STILL the MOST PRACTICAL form of stored energy to be converted into kinetic energy there is.

What're we gonna do...use more fossil fuels to make electricity so we can have ELECTRIC cars? Run my electric bill up to $500/mo so I'm no longer paying $250-300 a month for gas? No, we wouldn't be in the same boat we're in now, but we'd just be jumping ship to another one taking in water.

And to whoever complained about how the automakers "told us" we needed gas-sucking SUVs - Sorry that God revoked your ability to think for yourself.

I won't be selling my gas-hog; I happen to like it. A LOT. I also like my motorcycle...a LOT. And since this whole fuel crisis is coming about, I'm going to be snapping up big gas hog SUVs for a song so I can hold on to them until gas prices become more reasonable. Then, PROFIT:D

Also, I'm not rich, but it makes me SICK how everybody is so quick to blame the wealthy. They became wealthy, or were born wealthy, but at some point, SOMEBODY worked their ASS off for that money, or was just plain smarter than everybody else. Nobody has anybody to blame for their financial position but themselves.

The thing that makes me the SICKEST is that everybody is complaining about our manufacturing going overseas. NO SHIT! Because we, the consumer, wanted to have everything CHEAPER! We spent ourselves right out of jobs!

BTW, I'm running for president in 2016. Vote me, all will be right with the world.

I'm gonna go out on a limb, and jump on the political bandwagon...

Anybody thought about the fact that we and several other countries are burning LOTS AND LOTS of fuel at war?

your civilian Hummer H1 weighs about 7500 lbs and gets 12 mpg highway...on a good day...downhill with a tailwind. Imagine what a military spec HUMVEE weighing 10,000+ pounds driven in sand all day gets. Multiply that by lots.

We have planes being flown 24 hours a day. an FA18 burns more fuel in an hour than a Boeing 737 full of passengers in the same hour.

We have Deuce-and-a-halfs that get 4-5 mpg on the highway. Driven in the same conditions as the HUMVEEs.

Food for thought.

Quoted for truth...

I know many people aren't interested in someone who lives in a pity party and gripes about how badly they are always being treated. One, most women aren't looking to date boys. Two, there's not enough cheese to go with that whine, a woman could go broke buying that much cheese and still hearing about how awful you've been treated.

Dayna, you're my hero.

OP-would you date a girl that whined and cried that the "hot slutty" type got all the guys? Would you want one that complained, very loudly, that she was mistreated by guys?

Both of those types turn me off...QUICK. Course, maybe at your position...you'd take a microwaved ham sandwich.

Also:

The type of guy that that puts effort into everything even though he will probably lose.

Know what? that right there is your problem. Lack of confidence. Not even the uggos with low self esteem want a guy that lacks confidence.

1. I am a nice guy, that type of guy that you can bring home to your parents and can be sure that they'll like me. That's not arrogance, it's confidence.

First off, in your age group, most womens' parents will be senior citizens. They feel they're old enough to make their own decisions, so whether or not their parents like the guy they're dating is PROBABLY not going to enter their minds. It rarely enters mine and I'm a decade younger than you - Just ask my mom, she usually hates my girlfriends.
Also, having to SAY "That's not arrogance, it's confidence"...you have to POINT OUT that it's confidence? You're saying one of two things:

1:I don't believe this malarkey I'm typing.
2:This is the only thing I'm confident about.

I'm leaning toward #1, but #2 is a close...well...second. In a distant third, we have:

#3:If I had any confidence, I'd be confident about this...but I honestly don't believe this malarkey I'm typing.

I'm not making fun, or trying to demean you or anything...just pointing out what you might be missing. The first line in your "about me" also screams lack of confidence. You need to get that figured out before somebody else gets dragged into your train wreck of a life.

You need to work on your self image.

Dating older men is NOT going to solve your dating issues
Posted: 5/26/2008 2:29:29 AM
Older men are no nicer than younger ones...just more seasoned and better at telling you what you want to hear.

Older men were once younger men, remember that;)

Dating is not the same thing as job-hunting!
Posted: 5/26/2008 2:27:04 AM
You're right, dating is not the same as job hunting. It's the same as interviewing potential employees.

I hate to say it...but between the emails, phone calls, and IMs I get involved with trying to find a suitable mate...the process I go through is the same as when I screened potential employees.

Management sucks and it gets stuck in your veins

Has anyone tried It's Just Lunch?
Posted: 5/25/2008 9:04:32 PM
Odd.

I always felt that I wasn't as cool online as I am in person. Now, I don't feel so bad.

Springboard, maybe it's just your age bracket. Women my age are still naive. I'll take advantage of that while I can:D

Women are like dogs...only they smell confidence instead of fear, and it really doesn't sound like you have any. I maybe way off base, but keep it simple...unless you have something funny.

I could by a whole bunch of booze and a blowup doll for $1400...women aren't THAT important to ME

Girls having guy friends
Posted: 5/25/2008 7:52:47 PM
ALL my friends are male and hubby totally accepts that, and he's seen why. Over our 6 yrs of being together, he has seen me/us get screwed over by women, left and right, and non of the behavior from my male friends.

All it takes is one look at mrsjcc0312's profile to see why she and her husband have built up such a large mound of trust.

This is not the woman to listen to about trusting relationships.

Because he doesn't care who she f***s.

Would you date a woman with no car?
Posted: 5/21/2008 10:17:04 PM
I like dating girls with fuel-efficient cars...saves me more money on gas so I can go on more four-wheeling trips:D Plus, my daily driver's too banged up for most women to WANT to be seen in it.

I've dated women without cars. When I lived in Phoenix, and it was socially acceptable to not own a car, because of traffic and the far-superior public transportation infrastructure of the city.

Here in Cincinnati, OH? I WILL NOT date a girl who doesn't own her own car. It's just like asking me to date a girl with no direction in life, or a girl who "only does heroin once a week". Just like not having a job...I can excuse not having a job if you're a full time hardcore college student - that's a good reason. Not having a job because you're too concerned with popping out babies and collecting welfare - not a good reason.

And to the broad who thinks that people do drugs because they don't have a car...you've got it backwards. Most of the time, in car-owning cities (yes, I just said that...), when somebody doesn't own a car, it's BECAUSE they do drugs. I know this because I've bought a few cars for VERY cheap from a couple meth addicts (when I lived in Memphis...and then resold the cars for profit!)

And to the bicycle lady...that's fantastic that you ride a bicycle...I own a mountain bike, and I'm totally for riding a bike to work when it's convenient...but you're COMPLETELY missing the point of the thread, and I think you only posted to say you only own bicycles.

And to ALL the girls that are posting THEIR answers in this thread...IT'S ASK A GUY, not "HEY GIRLS, ARGUE WITH THESE GUYS WHOSE OPINION I WANTED"

To end, if there's a legitimate reason for you to not own a car, I might date you. But it's NOT convenient for me, because I live a good distance away from anywhere that you can commute only by your feet.

Have you ever dated someone with psychotic behaviours?
Posted: 5/19/2008 7:11:22 PM
re: yarimelma

There are many organizations out there, offering up to couple M$s,
whoever shows/proves the existence of ANY supernatural entity.
They've been around for years, still no takers....

The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.

I dated a girl - shortly - that believed she had a "Spirit guide". Otherwise, perfectly normal, sane person.

The funny thing is, she thought spending $1,000 on an RC car was crazy...

It's all perception. It's this guy's right to believe people that believe in ghosts are crazy. I happen to side with him. It's REALLY funny that everybody passing judgement on him is doing exactly what he's doing, without realizing it.

and to kittens:

The ghosts don't want to hurt you. Ghosts speak Latin, you're probably misunderstanding them. Perhaps they're upset that you haven't gotten a Wii yet?

What exactly does Dating mean?
Posted: 5/17/2008 7:43:40 PM
I never said YOUR profile said those things...last I checked this was not the "someonesex profile" thread.

As far as being on a dating site...you're actually more wrong than you would be if we were discussing being in a singles bar, or whatever you "old folks" (tongue in cheek, so nobody get their panties in a wad) used to do back in the day;) The nice thing about this website is you can read a little bit about what people think of themselves and decide to put on these here pages, so even if she/he is INCREDIBLY hot, you can also tell if they're dumb as a box of rocks or full of horse hockey.

When you (well, I, at least) am initially attracted to somebody I'd JUST met in person, yeah, their physical features are what attract me. Since there's nothing to read, I think "DAANG, she's got a nice butt/rack/face/fupa/whathaveyou", and that's their first impression...not what comes out of their mouth. I can typically pick up a woman more easily in person, having never met, than I can on the internet. Like I said...it's all in presentation.

As for the arrogance of youth...nah...I've only gotten MORE arrogant with age, so ladies, in a decade WATCH OUT. You will meet the most handsome, intelligent, never-wrong, humble man you've ever met.

What exactly does Dating mean?

Like I said. They lie. You attract people that lie. Yes, I'm young, but I'm mature and intelligent enough to figure out that the kind of person you ARE dictates the sort of person you ATTRACT.

If you're a doormat, you attract pricks. My dating experiances have been positive because I MAKE them positive. I make mistakes, and I learn from them, instead of crying into my pillow every night because I got played instead of looking at the big picture and finding out why it happened and fixing it so it doesn't happen in the future.

You've already let the lying A-holes change who you are...LOOK AT YOUR POSTS! You STILL haven't learned!

Just because you're a good person doesn't mean you won't meet ***holes, ****es,****, and hoes...How you present yourself will deter them. Posting things on your profile like "I'm tired of games!" or "Aren't there any nice guys left?" is a red flag to guys like me, who see that as "I'm easy! Take advantage of me!" and then I click the "Back" button and see what other attractive women there are in my area.

The fact that you don't expect me to understand what you're saying tells me that YOU don't understand what I'M saying. Get it together, do a personal inventory of your emotions and flaws, and the sooner you grow to recognize them and fix them, the happier your dating experiances will be.

What exactly does Dating mean?

Checkinearly^^^^I never said all men...unfortunately the greater majority I've met using this site and others...and yes, it's very sad..if I were truly "jaded"and thought 100% of the men were this way I'd have long ago removed my profile and stopped attempting to meet a man...what I originally posted was really just me being a smart-azz.

I'd love to meet a man that is honestly looking for an emotional connection in addition to some knock your socks off physical connection, know of any man you can send my way???

I think this is funny how many people don't see a common denominator.

If you get played THAT often by THAT kind of guy, you need to take a look at the common denominator and see WHY it happens. Probably because you make it easy for yourself to be put in such a position?

I put "dating" because I'm not looking for anything long-term or serious specifically. If long-term or serious happens, great. If not, even better. I've got other things to do.

The qualities of a person determines the qualities of the person they attract...so just because YOU attract A-holes, don't assume that the "Greater majority of men" are A-holes.

have you been out with anyone who was so monosyllibic that her limited dialogue range excused her from developing conversation beyond yes and no? I know that for most women we like to talk, and most men agree we can talk!

what are your tactics for avoiding listening - what (NLP - neuro linguisitical programming) techniques have you developed to avoid HER clouting you with a back slap for not paying attention as she interupted your ball game YET AGAIN to ask if she looked purdy in her new stillettoes?

you keep usin those $5 words you won't be able to afford any more shoes. Just because you have a thesaurus feature with that nifty new edition of MS Office you just bought doesn't mean you have to constantly use it.

Let me tell you about my bike...and we'll see if you can repeat a single word that isn't "carb" or "tire". What's your point?

At what age does a man finally wake up and stop trying to score?
Posted: 6/14/2007 9:57:33 PM
Maturity depends on the person. For me, that age was 23 or so, but for other guys it might be 60 or 70.

Certain people attract certain people of the opposite sex, just one of those things. It's all in how ya present yourself. When I quit acting like I wanted a slut, I quit attracting sluts:)

Besides...the sex talk must keep working for them, or they'd quit. There are chicks that're into that.

look sweetie, he's a guy. guys want what they want now. In this case it was probably to get warm from your form. Unfortunately all men are the same. The ones who aren't are either lying or are momma's boys. I just want a gal pal with benefits.

WTF? why are you on a personals site if that's your opinion? I live 650 miles from my mama, and I want more than sex. does that make me a liar? or are you just stupid?

Anger when time goes by between your email responses?
Posted: 6/12/2007 11:10:11 PM
I don't get angry, but after I've seen a girl I REALLY like a couple times or so, I do get a little antsy for her to email or call me back, especially if we've talked quite a bit previously. I'm bad at taking hints, so if they just quit talking to me nothing clicks in my head that it just ain't happenin on her end.

As far as what you do when this happens...there's a "block user" function for a reason:) there's not really any reason to continue talking to them if they're going to act like that anyway, right? It only shows how they'll be if you lower yourself to their level and stroke their ego.I honestly don't know what to tell you...men are idiots

How do you prefer your rejection? Bloody or well done?
Posted: 6/11/2007 8:54:13 PM
And since I've discovered the hard way that I can't edit a post, I'm adding another!

What I was referring to was simply "dating"...go out a couple times, no talking. I'd much rather have the night end with an "f-off" rather than thinking everything went fantastic and expecting to hear from somebody again. Granted, I'm kinda bad about that myself, so I can't complain TOO much..

I'd rather be dumped just by being blunt. I can't stand the just flat out stopping of contact from another person...it drives me NUTS! The least you could do is just tell me "Ya don't do it for me"

It doesn't help that I'm no good at taking a hint
