I don't get why some guys have profile pics that are group shots only and then they get all pissy when I reply back, "Are you the hot dude on the left?" or "So, is this a 3-fer?"
I mean, I know you're the scary looking dude on the right who's using the group shot to try to lure someone into talking, possibly meeting, with you because they think maybe, just maybe, you're the hot one.

LMAO! This is great!

I saw a bumper sticker this morning that made me chuckle. It said, "It's not that I'm old. Your music REALLY sucks!" That made my day.

What are some of your favorite bumper stickers? I think this would be a fun thread for whenever you're having a bad day you can come in here and get a smile and have a few chuckles.

Songbird here... let's see... I just don't get... reserved seating at an AMC Theater.

My daughter and I went to the AMC Theater in Leawood, had to wait in line for a very long time, got to the counter and was asked, "What seats would you like?" I was like, "Huh?" The ticket agent said, "All of our seats are reserve only now. Here is the seating chart. Which seats do you want?"

Needless to say I gave the agent an earful. I said, "S0 that's why it now takes FOREVER to get your tickets and on top of everything you increased your prices just because you have reserved seating? The agent said, "Yes, we are doing it this way in order to encourage people to buy their tickets online since they can reserve their seats online too. This way we cut down on our overhead of ticketing agents." I said, "Okay, well did you happen to check your online system? It doesn't work for some of us." The agent said, "Why not?" I said, "Because your online system doesn't allow people to put in gift cards, so why would I want to use it when I have free money to spend?" The agent said, "Oh, I didn't know you couldn't use gift cards online to buy tickets." I came back with, "I know this isn't your fault. However, I would appreciate it if you'd pass the message on to your supervisor. The cheapest ticket for me involves me coming during the middle of the day and I still have to pay $9.50 and my daughter's ticket costs $7.00, so the least the system could do is to provide a place to use gift cards."

Just irritating!

Kate Gosselin
Posted: 1/8/2010 7:24:05 PM
Hey Hoops!
Exactly! Try SEVEN THOUSAND dollars!!!

This week Kate Gosselin premiered her new long hair on the cover of People magazine, calling her new style and outlook on life "Kate Clean Slate." But if the fans who copied Kate's old spiky 'do want to follow the reality star's style lead again, they might need to take out a loan: Kate's new extensions reportedly cost a whopping $7,000. Ted Gibson, the stylist who created Kate's new look (and who was taped doing so by TLC), estimated that amount when he discussed the 20 hours he spent on Kate's hair makeover with the online gossip site RadarOnline, so we asked an expert to verify this. Turns out, she backs up Gibson's claims: “The stylist [Ted Gibson] was probably using top-quality hair. Hair costs between $500 and $2,000, and anytime you do celebrity extensions, you use the highest quality hair possible,” said the Neil George Salon’s senior extensionist (yes, that is her real title), Kacey Welch, who adds long locks for celebs like Kristin Cavallari.

Beyond the cost of the hair (she says the best for a blonde are Eastern European locks, which are the priciest), the application can be time-consuming. Welch explained, “It sounds like she got individual hairs added over her entire head, which is expensive because it takes so long to apply. And if her hair was short and she went long, she would need a lot of hair. $7,000 is definitely on the high side, but if he’s going to the client’s location, then spending 20 hours on color and cut and application, that all increases the cost.”

Stylist Ted Gibson also revealed the most time-consuming part of Kate's hair transformation: "I would say 15 of those hours were working on Kate, trying to convince her to cut her bangs,” he said. “I felt like she was hiding behind that front piece.” Gibson didn't mention whether Kate paid for the extensions herself.

I Love It When ...

- I receive an unexpected gift card in the mail!
- Someone makes me laugh.
- My daughter asks me questions that are so innocent, observant and cute. Like she asked me the other night, "Mommy, when will I get to see Jesus?" I explained to her how it won't be until after she dies. Her next question was, "How will I be able to see him when my eyes are closed?"

I love it when...
- My daughter gives me a big hug and says, "You're the best mom in the whole world!"
- My daughter and I cozy up in front of a roaring fireplace and watch a movie.
- I have the time to enjoy a relaxing, long bubble bath.
- The nice neighbor man across the street comes over and shovels my driveway.
- I get work from home days!

LMAO! That was great!

Or Jon Gosselin joins Dr. Drew's celebrity sex rehab or is on celebrity fit club. Too bad they're getting a divorce. I wouldn't mind watching a train wreck that is Wife Swap featuring Kate Gosselin... poor husband that gets her. LOL!

Little Johnny - Christmas Break
Posted: 12/16/2009 7:53:52 PM
It's near the Christmas break of the school year. The students have turned in all their work and there is really nothing more to do. All the children are restless and the teacher decides to have an early dismissal.

Teacher: "Whoever answers the questions I ask, first and correctly can leave early today."

Little Johnny says to himself "Good, I want to get outta here. I'm smart and I'll answer the question."

Teacher: "Who said, 'Four Score and Seven Years Ago'?"

Before Johnny can open his mouth, Susie says, "Abraham Lincoln."

Teacher: "That's right Susie, you can go home."
Johnny's mad that Susie answered the question first.

Teacher: "Who said, 'I Have a Dream'?"

Before Johnny can open his mouth, Mary says, "Martin Luther King."

Teacher: "That's right Mary, you can go."

Johnny's even madder than before.

Teacher: "Who said 'Ask not, what your country can do for you'?"

Before Johnny can open his mouth, Nancy says, "John F. Kennedy."

Teacher: "That's right Nancy , you may also leave."

Johnny's boiling mad that he hasn't been able to answer to any of the questions.

When the teacher turns her back Johnny says, "I wish these bi#*ches would keep their mouths shut!"

The teacher turns around: "NOW WHO SAID THAT?"

Johnny: "TIGER WOODS! CAN I GO NOW?"

Music?
Posted: 12/10/2009 5:57:07 PM
I go in spurts... right now I've been listening to 91.9 Air One Radio. They are classified as positive alternative rock, pop and Christian pop/rock. They play music from bands that you don't typically hear on the "regular" KC stations. A few of my favs are "Kutless", "Fireflight", "Skillet", Tobymac, Switchfoot, BarlowGirl and Seventh Day Slumber. http://www.air1.com/Music/TopSongs.aspx

My daughter loves pop and hip hop music, so I switch stations alot. I'm a diehard fan of classic rock and hair bands and I think I own about every power ballads cd made. LOL!

Kate Gosselin
Posted: 12/8/2009 5:58:22 PM
Kate Gosselin says her eight children aren't doing so well now that they're no longer in front of the cameras.

"They cried in the van on the way home from school the other day. I finally admitted to them, they kept asking, 'Where's the camera crew? Where's the camera crew? We miss them.' And I said, 'Our show is over.' ...Eight sobbing kids driving home from school," Kate, 34, says on Barbara Walters' The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009, airing Wednesday on ABC.

Says Kate, "Unless you live in my house and, and see how everything that we have done with the show has been such a great experience, you can't speak."

To this day, her kids -- 9-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 5-year-old sextuplets Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Aaden and Collin -- "watch DVDs of our show and it's family memories to them," she says.

Kate's days in front of the camera are far from over. She is slated to do a new talk show next spring.

OMG! Who in the world thinks this woman is talented enough to have her own talk show? This is insane. I feel sorry for her kids. Kate you are STUPID! It's NOT the show and the cameras your children miss. It's the ATTENTION of the camera crew members you idiot! They probably gave them way more QUALITY attention they you give them. You go on morning shoes sobbing about not having enough money to pay your bills while wearing $600 shoes! Give me a break! You got two years of free trips for you and your kids, spa treatments, a fake wedding and plastic surgery. You just had to get back in the media and you used your children as an excuse... so pathetic. I hope your show tanks!

Tiger Woods
Posted: 12/8/2009 5:48:20 PM
Supposedly there are reports that have confirmed 10 women and two other possibilities that aren't yet proven. One of them a porn star and one a noted sex addict. One of them said they had sex the first night they met at a club, and they ended up having a "relationship" that lasted two years. Two of the ho's plus another one's sister all said he never used condoms or asked about birth control. Okay, what about them? What a bunch of dumb, skanky, attention seeking, money and/or fame hungry airheads. If any of them wind up with a serious STD, they have no one to blame but themselves. He was married and yet having sex with you, so are you that idiotic to think he wasn't banging other women?

Tiger Woods
Posted: 12/3/2009 6:05:19 PM
The difference between Letterman and Woods is Letterman cheated with one woman and nothing about it was personal... just sex. Woods cheated with three women and he made the affairs personal by offering up a free condo, texting them on their birthdays, holidays, etc. If I truly loved my husband, I think I could probably work through one indiscretion as long as I knew it was just sex and especially if he and I for some reason weren't having sexual relations or we were incompatible in that department. However, if I found out that my husband had cheated with more than one woman and he had made things personal/emotional with them, well, let's just say he'd be lucky if he could get out of the house with his balls still attached!

Funny Pondering Random Thoughts
Posted: 11/18/2009 8:58:49 AM
1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the heck are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything
productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I
swear I did not make any changes to.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this -- ever.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Dang it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and
goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

18. My 4-year old asked me in the car the other day, "Mom, what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the heck do I respond to
that?

19. I think the top freezer deserves a light as well.

20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with alcohol than with Kay.

iamoneman: Would you date someone who has terrible body odor? If your answer is no, then you too would be considered prejudice. I, too, prefer not to date a smoker. I can't stand the taste nor smell of cigarette smoke, and I do not classify that as being prejudice... just my preference.

Why why why
Posted: 10/29/2009 10:23:06 AM
Kev: Honestly, my thought is that if people aren't responding they have their reasons. You shouldn't get down about it and wonder why... just keep on keeping on. Is it rude for you to contact someone and they don't even so much as contact you back and say, "Thank you, but I don't think we'd be a match."? Heck, yes, it's rude but not all people are the same. Perhaps people aren't replying because you live too far away from them, you're non-religious and they are or you're a smoker and they're not. It's all in the matter of preferences. Good luck in your search.
