Get the best solicitor he can afford, your kids must be nearly grown up by know so maybe it is time think about you!!!
He, thought about him when he decided to leave... so you now have to fight for your share and start working for you
He might have a pension... you have a share... the marital home... you have a share, investments/savings, you have a share, jewellry etc... you have a share..
You have to be hard-faced about this but a darned good solicitor can help YOU RETAIN what is rightfully yours.. I should know, having been married twice and lost loads fighting against two very good lawyers whom I ended up paying for???

Take him to the cleaners... don't spoil him... after all he walked out on you and ruined your life...!

Canadian Professor says all men watch porn.
Posted: 12/4/2009 2:10:03 PM
Yup blokes watch Porn... how severe the porn is not yet measured.
Access to porn is soooo much easier now tinterweb pervades our lives... But it isn't the Playboy/Mayfair of our youth...
Tinterweb porn is out of control... Ok so everyone knows that tinterweb was built on the foundations of Porn but..... Decorum please...

I don't find much (most) of the internet stuff, exciting.. It is degrading.... Ladies are not three holes to be stabbed... My penis isn't 14 inches, doesn't make girls choke and is wary of the "other hole???" wtf is all that about?..

Fantasies are better when they are touched upon, not lived... tinterweb displays other peoples (perverts) fantasie's graphically.... but without intimacy, they are nothing but abuse.

Rekindling love

sometimes the smell of damp earth
on a summers' day following cloud burst
sometimes the faint waft of a fragrance
from a person long passed in the street
the taste of a childhood treat and the joy
of the sting on the tongue or the stickyness
can fonder sweet memories and rekindle
feelings thought lost then questions arise
how fleeing the remembrance, the taste, the smell,
the experience, the memory, clasping hands to re-live them again???

would you pay?
Posted: 12/1/2009 1:36:48 PM
Well, I have been in a similar situation to the OP. In a queue for ages and a person in front is short of a few pennies and (on the memorable occasion, she was elderly with dithery hands etc) I stepped forward (of 12 other people to one till) and paid the pennies (Ok so I paid the whole of her bill (including the lottery ticket (which didn't win I might add) all £3.90 of it), packed her bag and escorted her all the way home.. ( I must look trustworthy?) (I did get Milk and Bread for myself at the same time.. oh and the paper (well it was Saturday..!)) It took ages and I missed my train... but, every time I see her, she waves and I wave back.. I have carried her bags home from the Supermarket (once and only because it was not raining) and I know her name (Anne, she knows mine, and my address (I gave her my card)) and she has my Mobile number and Home number should sh1t hit the fan... Sometimes, it doesn't hurt to help and for £3.90, I get a wave and a smile and a nice feeling inside (everytime we meet) and the knowledge that if I am needed, Anne can call me and get help... no strings, nothing owed..

I get to smile..

It is a good feeling..

Ruffy

(Oh and I have done it many times before and been bitten hard on occasion but the smiles make up for the bite wounds every time.. I will do it again..)

Traffic wardens and capitalism
Posted: 11/21/2009 2:23:25 AM
Traffic wardens are really good people, they know where you can and cannot park and know where all the shops are.... better than most "bobbies on the beat" in my opinion (and all the best cafe and coffee stops are).
They are always approachable (ok so I live in Chester and there are 6) but on many missions to different cities, I have always found them to be human, helpful and just doing what they are paid to do... enforce the rules (draconion or otherwise)... targets exist!!!.... Please can I have a job where I am not measured???????? (oh and they sometimes fart and belch... just like the rest of us....)

DNR over my sternum... will be the only ink I think.. but then again, never say never

Children in need
Posted: 11/20/2009 3:35:12 PM
I use condoms and in doing so reduce the burden on society.... Less children= less children in need, less reliance on state aid (tax payer!!) for parents who don't care about the parentage of their offspring. Less reliance on the state (tax payer!!) could lead to more children with caring, loving parents/grandparents, supported, when and if needed by a state that cares and can afford to care for those (tax payers) with offspring as opposed to paying tax to support those who have never contributed...!

I state this for the silent majority, it may not be my opinion but they need a voice, if only for discussion.

Whatever Next
Posted: 11/17/2009 7:27:39 AM
A drug that failed tests as an antidepressant is being hailed as "Viagra for women" after surprising but not unpleasant side effects.
In three separate trials, the drug flibanserin did wonders for women's flagging sex drive despite doing nothing to lift mood.
It's essentially a Viagra-like drug for women in that diminished desire or libido is the most common feminine sexual problem, like erectile dysfunction is in men.

I can't really see this taking off in the same way a Viagra

Buying a business
Posted: 11/13/2009 1:43:44 PM
You need a blummin good business plan with realistic forcasted earnings for the next 5 years minimum, building in fluctuations in sales on a Monthly/Quarterly/Seasonal basis.
Will you be buying SAV and goodwill.....?? Lease of Freehold???
You will probably need a good backer with plenty of ££££££ because, with no retail owner/manager experience ,banks will laugh at you..

Unless you get a signed offer/contract from a big ££ rich company worth good wonga to keep the money coming in through the doldrums..

It will be tough.. If you decide to go ahead, I'll lend you a Tenner for 10 years and I'll expect the Tenner back at the end... (get 400,000 people like me and you'll be made... worth thinking about eh??)..

Regards climate change, is the phrase save the planet misleading?
Posted: 11/12/2009 9:56:11 AM
"Save humanity" would only work if humanity cared about itself which it blatantly doesn't.

Anyway, doing ones' bit in "saving the planet" makes one feel so magnanimous.

It is similar to the save the environment people... there will always be an environment, although it may not be suitable for people, animals, plants etc.....

Pah!... It is all about tax anyway..

pre-marital sex? your thoughts
Posted: 10/30/2009 6:20:36 PM
How relevant in todays modern society is remaining a virgin until the wedding night?

Stoopid fookin Question!
Fookin highly relevant... If anybody ever touches any of my daughters I'll castrate the fooker amd make him look like he had met with a rabid grey squirrel with a scrotal blood lust (having been "trained to attack micro-panis enabled little scrotes...!!" as default!")
Should they remain..Not- innocent?

Fookin too right..
Are religious teachings and guidance the only way of remaining innocent?
Certain religious sects particularly Christian, believe the the virginity of the daughter should be taken by the father, do they have the right?
If you could, would you go back and not have sex before marriage?

Sick...
Let it happen, no religion, no government, fookoff big pot... throw everything in, no claim out..

You work to pay tax... you don't work, you get payment on a plate... Change this and make people work for their portion of tax payers' income..

Balance things....... FFS!

Christmas card etiquette???
Posted: 10/23/2009 4:23:47 PM
If the person concerned, to whom you wish to send a card, is dear to you, then why not write to them?
Surely, a heartfelt letter is more meaningful than a tacky (yup I think Christmas cards are tacky) card..

In fact, why not dispense with cards altogether.

Write letters to those you really care about.. maybe you will realise that the card is a pretence at friendship and the letter is sent to those who mean something to you because it will take time and care and love to compose and maybe we will all learn something about ourselves and our friends, our real friends and the commercialisation of the festivals that we have all let ourselves buy into???

cosmic ordering
Posted: 10/23/2009 4:11:53 PM
I think Cosmic ordering is brilliant..

The way it works is:

You figure out, exactly, to the letter/numeral, what you want, you then, knowing what you want, work your bollox off to put yourself in the place (which you have worked your bollox off to make sure will be the place).. where, you know, having done your homework, what you want, will be handed to you on a plate, and be there at the prescribed time... honest, it is all based around belief.. no really.... and miraculously, it happens... Wow... and if you ignore all the work bit and the being in the right place at the right time bit, it really is true..

Is our contribution to the EU value for money?
Posted: 9/30/2009 12:41:11 AM
I only know the answer to one question, the first one.

1) Why are so many British people so opposed to the EU ?

Membership of the EU should be put to the people not the politicians.. They work for us and not the other way round as they would have us believe.!

We have not had a say (unlike our parents who may have been hoodwinked?), no referendum on the EU Constitution.. oops!.. Lisbon Treaty..... and certainly no voice regarding membership. (no I didn't vote for my local MP)

Men searching for single mum's
Posted: 9/25/2009 1:09:13 AM
Let us look at this from a different angle.

Single man, divorced or separated, was married with children.
Has had to give his house up (for the sake of the children having a home) and pays a large amount of his meagre salary on maintenance and debts.
Can he afford to live/rent etc...?
Probably but why not find a single mother, own house/flat... no need for an extra bedroom, share hers... help towards the bills etc... and cash left over.... Cushty!!

I have an aquaintence who does just this and is on his second single mum... He has no conscience!
